    Chicken kebab plate.
    Wolf M.

Rice plate with a few chunks of chicken. Thought I ordered a kebab plate, guess not. This is.. disappointing to say the least. Been going here for a long time and this is not what I expect. Dry chicken. Half a roasted tomato. A lot of rice. ~$17. Ouch.

I grew up in Closter. Was in the neighborhood so we stopped in because we love Mediterranean. It's cute snd has a nice vibe. The staff was friendly and nice. And it's got convenient parking. The food unfortunately was just okay. I got the kuhbideh kebab - ground beef and lamb on a skewer. My bf got the beef and chicken combo. I got the two skewers. The portion size of the meat for the price is small. Taste wise they were meh. Nothing bad. But not yummy tasty. They weren't as tasty as I have usually experienced with kebabs. They are generous with the rice but unfortunately it was very bland. The side salad I got was fresh and the sauces are good. All in all it's okay if it's local and you're not all that picky. But there are better options around for the quality and price.

So happy I stumbled upon Zendiggi on instagram! I have been wanting to try it for a while and we finally made it there last night! We ended up trying a bunch of items off the menu and each one was better than the next. The wings were tender and flavorful. The empanadas were cooked perfectly and filled! I hate when places skimp on the filling but not the case here. I legit couldn't stop picking at the Mediterranean fries. The sultan platter was huge and all 3 meats were on point and a very generous amount of food for the platter. Well worth the price. And lastly was the shakshouka. This is never something I would order but it came highly recommended and it did not disappoint!! A must try in deed! Restaurant was clean, staff is friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to go back. Give this place a try!

Came here for lunch with coworkers and it was a nice place for food and drinks. My coworker ordered the special platter and it seemed worth it: plate was huge, lots of proteins, and a bang for the buck. I didn't eat anything on that day, perhaps i will come back in a near future I had one of its signature drinks: Pistachio Rose Latte. It was tasty, refreshing, and innovative. But its a bit pricey: $6...

I was headed to a brewery this evening that has great beer but they do not serve food. Instead, they encourage people to bring whatever they'd like to eat from other restaurants. I've been craving shawarma the last few days and the gyro I enjoyed at the Reading Terminal Market didn't satisfy the craving. So this evening, I stopped by Zendiggi, placed an order at the counter and waited. A big shout out to the dude who was working the register this evening. He helped me adjust my order to go a bit lower carb (hooray for keto diet), offered some recommendations, and asked if I wanted cutlery. I appreciate that they're not just tossing plasticware in the bag that might go to waste. Oh, and he offered a glass of water for me while I was waiting. Great service. Unwrapping my dinner a few minutes later at Five Dimes, it was very good. A good serving of sliced doner meat on top of a big pile of fresh tabbouleh. The meat was tasty, warm and plenty of it though perhaps a bit dry. A bit of the tzatziki sauce on the side and it was great. The salad was fresh and crisp and had just the right amount of moisture. I've said many times that the staff at a business can either make or break a customer's experience. This dude turned this from a strong four stars to five. Thank you! I saw this place on Tiktok & it looked awesome so why not give it a try. Overall there are a lot of options to choose from & the vibe inside is great. But - I've eaten at a lot of Mediterranean spots & this one was good but just okay. Pretty pricey but I guess there isn't much competition around. The empanadas are unique and good but small for 2 for 13.99. They have a mayo based crema which is okay. Their in-house hot sauce has a habanero flavor with a little kick. Hummus is lack luster - tastes very fresh but there's no other flavor to it.

I got takeout from here and the food was quite tasty. I ordered the Kubideh super plate and Shirazi salad. I really liked the kubideh. The meat was tender and had great flavor. My only complaint is that for something called the super plate, I thought I'd get two skewers of meat and not just one.

Everything was delicious and staff were so helpful. The grilled wings are a must try. The rose pistachio latte is the best coffee drink I've ever had. Also it's very hard to find a good shakshoukah and this one blew me away. Highly recommend this place

We popped into this place for the first time this evening. We weren't seeking anything fancy by no means but we didn't realize what kind of place this was. I should have read reviews first and seen pics (if available). I didn't realize this place was like a diner/fast food take out kinda place. Basically the food was good and filling but I guess they better be for about $20 a platter. I can't find reasons to justify their prices. I don't mind the $20 at all. I just really didn't know what to expect from the exterior. I had somewhat envisioned a better looking place for the price. My husband and I were both disappointed. We ordered up front, paid quickly and went out back to dine. When we got out back we realized they had made the best of the CoVid situation by having a large good quality tent, tables and pretty led hanging lights out back. (I am not knocking the outside area at all!) I am, however, trying to justify their pricing even for the indoor section which seemed by far, run down and dated. Anyhow, the young lady at the counter who took our order and brought it to our table out back was sweet. The food came out rather quickly and we enjoyed our food. My husband wasn't wowed by his platter but I really did enjoy ours. I have, however, had MUCH better gyro platters nearby but perhaps we just aren't familiar with this style and expected more of a Greek/Mediterranean taste. Anyhow, not bad but now wowed. Just MEH for us and we most likely won't be returning for a while. Oh and the pitas were Not what we were expecting and neither was the tzatziki sauce. :( They did share their homemade hot sauce that was super spicy which we both really enjoyed.

Best coffee I had in months ! The chicken kebab plate was really good and the way they treat here makes you feel like at home There's lots of parking and the prices are perfect!

Zendiggi's has the best chicken. My dad and I come here pretty often to get the chicken kebab platter. We always say, though, that we wish one place could offer chicken as juicy as the ones from Zendiggi and yogurt dip as thick as the one from Dayinin Yeri in Cliffside Park. The yogurt dip here is too watery for our liking. We've tried other sides like the tabbouleh salad, the salad from the half platter, pita and yogurt dip, and fries, but that's not why we come here. Get the chicken!! BTW the hot sauce here is actually so fricken hot. I wouldn't go near it if you don't like spice.

The service is very attentive. Right when we sat down the host gave us water which was nice. The waiter was a little too attentive, kept coming up to us to ask if we were ready to order when we were not, and just kept coming and coming every two minutes. They give complimentary flat bread which is tasty. Our Persian friend mentioned usually Persian restaurants give the bread with herbs and feta rather than just plain. We did find on the menu the herbs and feta was an extra cost. We had the kebab combo and subbed cherry rice and salad (which is cucumbers and tomatoes) and also exchanged the ground chicken kebab for a chicken breast kebab. The standout was the steak kebab and the cherry rice. There were so many cherries in the rice, and it was both sweet and savory. I couldn't stop eating it. The steak was super juicy and well seasoned. I also really like the roasted tomato on the side, basil and pickled cabbage. We ordered a stew, think it was Ghormeh sabzi. It had a bunch of herbs in it, and beans and a dried lime. Was told not to eat the lime. It was a very strong and rich stew, I took a couple of bites. Don't think I could have eaten the whole thing. It's very strong. It's our friend's favorite Persian dish and she loved it. There was one dish we wanted that they ran out of but they gave us a couple of dollars off the bill which was nice. Overall excellent food! Would come back.

Unfortunately, after my last two visits, I won't be coming back because of the extremely poor service from one particular server MALE with glasses in his late 40s-50s. My family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) ordered the Koobideh and Soltani plates. Every single time we've dined here over the years, we've had our onions grilled without any issue. This time, the server insisted that onions are only supposed to be served raw and told us that if we wanted them grilled, we had to order and pay extra. We paid the extra charge without arguing, but the way he spoke to us was rude, condescending, and unprofessional. This was actually the second time we had this same experience with him. When the bill arrived, we noticed an 18% service charge had been added. The server said it was the restaurant's policy for parties of four. This was surprising because we've been coming here for years with the same party size, have never been charged a service fee before, and have always tipped generously. I politely asked whether this was a new policy and requested to see the menu to verify that the service charge was disclosed. Instead of answering, the server told me, "Pay first with the service charge, and then I'll show you the menu." He also implied that he wanted me to sign the receipt first to make sure he secured the service charge because he thought we wouldn't tip him. After leaving, I called the restaurant to speak with the manager, but the same server answered and claimed no manager was available. When I questioned the undisclosed 18% service charge, he repeated that it was restaurant policy for tables of four. I explained that I had never been charged this before and that, as far as I understood, mandatory service charges should be clearly disclosed on the menu. His response was, "Well, you already signed it, so it's not your money anymore." That response was shocking and completely unprofessional. I would have gladly paid the service charge--and even tipped extra--if the service had been friendly and respectful. Instead, the entire experience felt hostile and dishonest. When I asked for the manager's name, the server hung up on me and told me not to call the restaurant back. I've been a loyal customer for years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I hope the restaurant addresses both the customer service issues and the lack of transparency regarding mandatory service charges.

Sad to say, after being loyal customers, this place turned us off tonight permanently. I placed a large anniversary dinner order by phone, including tahdig ($12). During the call, I specifically asked if the rice came with tomato and onion and was told no it comes with the tahdig that I ordered. So yes it comes with the order. I was also asked whether I wanted the gheymeh on top or on the side of the tahdig. I chose on the side. When I got home, the order didn't match what was discussed: The tahdig wasn't traditional rice tahdig like me or my wife have had countless times. It was more like this brownish, sheet-like, crumble with a few flecks of rice on the crumble, but not crispy. Not Persian tahdig. The gheymeh was missing entirely, despite being discussed on the call. The tomato and onion that I was told were included were not there. The fesenjan had only a few pieces of chicken. The ghormeh sabzi was okay, but pretty underwhelming in flavor. I called politely to clarify about the missing tahdig (for next time) and was told someone would call me back. No one did. When I called again an hour later, the same person who took my original order responded in a dismissive and accusatory tone, unilaterally escalating her tone and voice immediately, almost angrily accusing me of daring to call, and told me that the tahdig does not come with gheymeh, and tomato and onion aren't included either. (This is the opposite of what I was told when ordering). She repeatedly interrupted me, talking over me, instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue. We've been coming here since moving from Southern California a few years ago, whenever we felt homesick and wanted some Persian food. The food has always been....OK....nothing like Persian restaurants in Toronto or Southern California, but we continued ordering out of nostalgia and lack of other options. However, this experience today, incorrect information, missing items, no follow-up, and then, the way the situation was handled was our final turn off. Disappointing, especially for what was meant to be a special occasion. We won't be returning, nor will our visiting Persian family or friends.

For apps we enjoyed the hummus, the unique pita that is served, potato salad, Shirazi Salad (heavily dressed) & Kashk-e-Bademjan (eggplant). Beware - the eggplant app has a ton of garlic! Entree's: Kabob-e-Bakhtiyary is soooo good! Get it with the fabulous basmati & saffron rice! Large portion. I was adventurous & tried a chicken stew (Koresht-e-Fesenjoon). It's very sweet & presentation wise, doesn't look great but very unique & needs to be mixed w/the basmati/saffron rice that you receive. Service is fantastic. Definitely check this place out!

It's a small, family run place with excellent food. We started off by ordering appetizers of Hummus and kashk-e-bademjan (puréed eggplant) served with pita. Both were very good! This is a BYOB, so the wine was perfect with this. For entrees, my wife and I both ordered Kabob-e-barg, which was marinated pieces of filet mignon, served with Basmati rice. My wife also ordered a small salad. The rice was amazing! I really enjoyed that and the salad which we split. We had to order the homemade baklava for dessert...great way to top off the meal! Morristown has so many great restaurant options. Every time we come here we always say that we should come here more often. With parking garages, it's always easy to come here, park, and walk around the town. If you're coming here, Marjan is a good choice for a delicious meal.
