Located in the Westfield mall! Ordered in the self kiosk and order was done super quick in less than 5 minutes. I ordered the ube and chose cane sugar and overall, the drink is OK. I wish it was a little more creamy but I can't really taste the ube and it's not super sweet. Super quick service and ok for a quick boba fix.

Coco Mango with coconut pudding
Cheryl C.

The drinks here are fairly good and fresh. The coco mango was more tangy and sour than I was expecting, it didn't complement the coconut very well. They also had some pastries, I asked if they could toast it and the lady declined. Unfortunately pastries tasted stale even though it was still several hours from closing.

Quick Summary: - Ordering can be done on the kiosk - A large screen at the top right displays when your order will arrive - Selling pasteries This new boba place was recommended by an acquaintance. That day I was feeling like I wanted to drink a refreshing drink that is chilled cold, so we went here over the other tea places. On the menu, there were different drink options, but my eyes always land on the menu that mentions sago. Sago has been my recent favorite in dessert lately. Pairing with sago is typically mango or pomelo, and this drink had both. I ordered through the kiosk and my order number appeared on the screen hanging on the ceiling. The wait didn't feel long, so I got my drink pretty fast. It came in a tall bottle with a lid on it. Kind of cool how it looked to be a reusable bottle. Generally, the drink was cold, exactly how I wanted on that day. On other days in SF, this might be a bit too cold though, so I might try a different drink. The mango puree is thick, so it was almost like drinking a mango smoothie.

Thai Me Up

Originally came to the mall to get the Bake cheese tarts only to find out they closed ): next to it however was zero& so my friend and I decided to give it a try since we were in the mood for sweets in general. I ordered the Thai Me Up and he got the Jasmine Green Tea with sea salt cheese foam. Both drinks were yummy, but one thing with the sea salt cream drink is that it has a normal "lid" rather than the type of lid that you can sip out of. This is slightly annoying because usually you want to get both the tea and the cream while you drink and that doesn't really happen when you just use a straw. As a result, we just peeled back the lid a bit so he could drink from the cup. Service was super quick though and you just order from the kiosk.

Taro Ube Mini Box

I love their boba drinks here but this time I ordered the hanabi cakes! I got the taro one which was super creamy and delicious. I also got the rose and lychee one which was also very good but taro had to be my favorite. I felt that there wasn't as much lychee taste but it still tasted very good. Service for ordering the cakes was pretty fast, I ordered with the cashier instead of the kiosk and she was able to hand me the cakes fairly quickly.

Grapefruit SPA

There are a couple Zero& locations in SF now, but this is the most convenient for SoMa. It's located in the underground food court in Westfield Mall. My 2 favorite drinks are the Coco Mango slushie and Grapefruit Spa. All of their fruit teas have real fruit and are super refreshing.

The Zero& Westfield Boba Shop had quite the crowd when we went! It seemed to be a bit understaffed as most of the staff was scrambling trying to fill orders. Additionally, the iPad ordering devices weren't working and the staff wasn't sure what to do. After working through the logistics of getting an order placed we felt our drinks were perhaps a bit underwhelming. The grapefruit was a bit sour and the matcha was pretty bitter. Not sure if we'll go back again but I'm glad for the chance to have tried it! Additionally, the boba shop didn't have any available allergens menu or any idea of potential allergens in their drinks.

Teapuccino with Boba

Immediately went to look for the nearest boba spot after I landed for a conference. Extremely satisfied with Zero&. Prime location being in the mall, but a bit of a hassle to find if you're coming here solely for boba. Took me a bit to find the food court at the very bottom level because I entered through some store. Not my top pick, but a very safe one. There's quite a few pros. Drinks came very quick, around a two minute wait. Tea is strong-ish and the boba is not only chewy, but also slightly sweet. They also have an app which provides a free drink (base price excluding toppings) coupon. Plus the app lets you earn points to redeem for rewards. Big fan of gamification and prize redemption, so that's enticing. On the app, drinks default to less sugar and less ice which is actually great instead of forcing "regular ice" and filling the cup halfway like many spots. Lastly, the cup seems pretty high quality and the seal on top is fairly thick which helps prevent leaks (though can be harder to puncture). Obviously there are cons too. They have two sizes but it's dependent on the drink, so no picking. Despite the smaller size of 16oz, the price is the same as larger 20-22oz cups elsewhere. Cups also have a little scratch card on the cup but the code doesn't work. Teapuccino w/ Boba - I needed some caffeine and this was a slight boost. As the name suggests, it's a basic milk tea (tea + milk from a cappuccino). I'd compare this to a normal house milk tea with black tea base. Solid drink, creamy with a hint of tea, and boba is chewy plus sweet! Matcha Tornado w/ Martcha Boba - love specialized boba but this was a fail. The matcha boba was undercooked so the core was firm and not very chewy. There's a hint of matcha flavor which was nice, but the matcha boba was cooked worse than the regular. Besides that, the tornado itself was very creamy and the matcha was strong, especially for a place that doesn't specialize in matcha. I'm a fan of the recommended Oreo because it contrasts so well with the matcha that's strong and bitter. Less sweet was perfect for emphasizing the matcha.

Chloe S.

Always a treat to get some boba when downtown. You can either order at the kiosks, online, or with someone at the front making it super easy to get your boba fix. Normally I go with the tried and true matcha with Oreo crumbles and it's not too sweet but has that pop of crunchy goodness. This day I was excited to try their Thai tea version and went ahead and ordered it. I would say the texture is normally slushy like but this drink seemed to be almost half liquid so the Oreo bits immediate got soggy. The drink itself felt a tad too sweet for my liking but that one's on me for not adjusting accordingly. Next time I would love to try one of their cakes!

Stefanie A.

DRINKS: so fresh that you can taste the real fruity flavors. i haven't gotten any milk teas, but as far as i know, their fruit teas are the best that i've had in the bay. FOOD: their pastries are so good - love the black sesame croissant. the cakes are not too sweet or rich. LOCATION: always very busy on weekends. you'll order on a kiosk and then they'll leave your drinks on the counter when ready. expect to wait 15-30 min as they truly do make everything fresh to order

Fresh coconut
Loann H.

Okie. I wanted boba one rainy Sunday day but they were sold out of everything so I asked about the coconut drink. They said it was really good so I gave it a try. She told me we could have an actual coconut as well to compliment our cups. How freaking cute. The drink was actually really refreshing and kinda exactly what I needed tbh. I just didn't expect it to be this good because it's in a prime location with a lot of traffic so quality is usually lower. BUT quality was 12/10, service was 20/10, and I was happy Everything is written on my phone at random moments when I feel like writing so sorry for the errors lol I reread some of my old reviews

Coconut Zero with Boba and Coconut Pudding

The signature drink was the freshest! I had the coconut zero lightly sweetened with boba and coconut pudding. So refreshing and delicious. I would definitely come back and order the same thing.

Rose lychee

If you're like me and the way to your heart is through your stomach, then you can't go wrong with any of the decadent and meticulously crafted @enjoy_hanabi cakes, pastries and drinks available at @0andco this Valentine's Day. Their mini cakes boxes are carefully curated by Michelin-trained pastry Chef Sunny Yan, and these are definitely some of the BEST and daintiest sweet treats that I've ever had. While they definitely are a bit more on the pricey side at $12 apiece for a cake, it's definitely worth for the quality and craftsmanship. Their drinks are also crafted from only seasonally available fresh fruit, and they're definitely high quality as well! This location is in a mall, so it'll probably be more of a pickup location rather than a sit down location with table service although there are tables available nearby.

I'm always hunting for spots like this because I have a weakness for those over-the-top, Instagram-worthy desserts that look like diabetes in a dish. Like most places in this genre, A Buttercup is small, modern, and minimalist with limited seating. If you plan to go, aim for off-hours unless you enjoy waiting in line for sugar. The decor is cute and trendy, perfect for photos if that's part of your dessert ritual. As they say, "you eat with your eyes first," and when it comes to presentation, this place definitely gets an A+. The desserts look stunning and set high expectations. Unfortunately, that's where things started to crumble. It's like going to see your favorite artist live. You've watched the videos, memorized the songs, and paid for the experience. But instead of the electric performance you imagined, you get someone lip-syncing and barely connecting with the crowd. That was this place in dessert form. We ordered the Mango Bingsoo on our first visit, and when it arrived, we were surprised by how small the portion was. The guy next to us even looked over and said, "Whatever that is, I'm getting that next time." He shouldn't have. The Bingsoo looked great but was bland, and the "snow" was more chunky ice than soft shave. The Thai Tea Roti was also not what I expected. It came with Thai tea ice cream and sauce alongside a roti that was fried to a crunch. Interesting idea, just not the best execution. The sauce and ice cream needed a stronger Thai tea flavor to balance the crispy roti, and the flavors never quite came together. Overall, A Buttercup nails the aesthetics but misses the flavor. If you're here for the photos, you'll be happy. If you're here for the taste, you'll leave with a full camera roll and an unsatisfied sweet tooth.

Despite not being super traditional, I still really enjoyed the treat. With the chocolate chip cookie, I loved the giant chunks of semi-sweet dark chocolate embedded within it. I appreciate that the cookie itself wasn't overly sweet. With most cookies, I usually can only tolerate having a few bites, or need to have a coffee in hand to enjoy it, but I didn't feel like that was the case here: both treats were delicious. The lychee black tea was INCREDIBLE, strong, strong tea and fruit flavor, perfectly creamy, and not too sweet. The more memorable of the two, however, was definitely Auntie Kendra. It was a vanilla base with salty plum juice, passion fruit, and preserved lemon peel. The delicate vanilla, the lemon aroma without the sour tang, the floral, exotic passion fruit, and the unexpected punch of salt and earthiness from the plum juice, this is a WHOPPER of a flavor. Every bite allowed me a new appreciation of the layers of flavors in this scoop. While a bit pricy, Garden creamery is on par with the other local ice cream spots in SF and well, the flavors and my enjoyment of them speak for themselves. I will definitely be making more trips out here to try their other flavors!

Kiss of Matcha is a dessert café centered around matcha-based drinks and Japanese-inspired sweets…read more We walked into a cozy, compact space with a focus on matcha flavors, offering everything from soft serve and parfaits to lattes, hojicha drinks, and small desserts. The concept works well for anyone looking for a place that treats matcha as the main ingredient rather than just adding it as a trendy flavor, and the energy of the shop stays calm and inviting, making it a good spot for a focused dessert stop. The biggest highlight is the matcha soft serve, which has a stronger tea flavor compared to many sweeter matcha desserts. We ordered a cup and found the flavor leaning slightly earthy and bitter, giving it a more authentic matcha profile while still staying creamy and approachable. The Kiss of Matcha Parfait is another standout, combining different textures with matcha, toppings, and dessert elements that make it feel more complete than a simple scoop. The layers of the parfait were well composed, with the matcha soft serve, mochi, and crunchy elements coming together in a way that kept each bite interesting. The hojicha options are also worth trying if you prefer a roasted tea flavor that is smoother and less intense, and the hojicha soft serve offered a warm, toasted note that contrasted nicely with the brighter matcha. The menu has a nice mix of drinks and desserts, with items like croffles, mochi, and dango adding more variety beyond the usual matcha latte. The croffle is a good pairing with the drinks since the crisp texture works well with the richer flavors, and we found it held up well against the cream and toppings. There are also non-matcha options like vanilla soft serve, which makes it easier to visit with a group where everyone has different preferences, and the variety across the menu gives you room to explore beyond the matcha offerings. The space is smaller, so it feels more like a quick dessert stop rather than a place to spend hours. Seating is limited, but the cozy decoration and outdoor seating options make it a comfortable spot to enjoy your order when space is available. The indoor area is thoughtfully arranged, and the outdoor seating adds a nice option for warmer days. Service can vary depending on how busy it gets, but the overall experience is centered more around the quality of the desserts, and the staff are friendly and efficient when handling the flow of orders. Kiss of Matcha is a strong choice for matcha lovers looking for desserts with a deeper tea flavor. I am VERY particular with my shaved ice and bingsoo, and honestly this place surpassed all…read moreexpectations. I love when places have FLAVORED ice, not just regular ice and add syrup. I knew this place was the real deal from the yelp pictures and I'm so glad I came here for dessert. It was so hard choosing a base flavor, but opted for the strawberry with passion fruit glaze and oh my god this was life changing. The texture of the ice itself was light, airy, and not too sweet, which is perfect for me. The passion fruit glaze added that depth of fruity flavor and honestly this large size was more than enough to share with 2 people. Parking: it's hard to find around the area, so good luck. The shop itself is small and you can't really eat inside but they have tables outside you can enjoy. I will be back for more and bring some friends to check it out!!

A very accurately named store! Can't go wrong with shaved ice for dessert, no matter the weather…read more They have so many flavor options that literally cover an entire wall, with a plethora of toppings too! All of their flavors sounded good, and I wish I could sample all of them. I ended up going with the Valencia in a regular size so I could avoid decision anxiety; this was a preset bowl of horchata shaved ice with different toppings that was exactly what I was craving. My friend got the other preset option, Cereal Killer, which tasted just like fruity pebbles ice cream as promised. It looks like a lot when first presented to you (like so high and so fluffy), but as you eat it, the toppings start making the ice sink lol. A more manageable portion size after that :) Their shop is small with not much waiting room besides a bench against the window, and I think most people go to their outside tables to eat their shaved ice. Not super ideal for cold windy evenings like when we went, and we huddled in my car to finish them. Definitely mind any shaved ice that might topple over the edge when you first dive in since they pack it real tight. Worth your moola! I will absolutely come back to try other flavors and still order a regular just for myself :)
