This place is not listed and its not clear whether its Zheng's or Lee's (one bought it from the other and the sign says Zheng's but the claim checks say Lee's...go figure). Anyway, I moved to Potrero from Cole Valley 6 months ago and looked long and hard for a cleaner that doesn't write or stamp anything on the inside of the shirt collar...I HATE THAT! I had no idea this would be so hard...seems everyone does this nowadays. Anyway, this is total hole in the wall place with a very cute couple running it and I recently discovered another HUGE advantage to going here: whoever does their dress shirts buttons the shirtsleeves for you. I hate fumbling with those damn things every morning!! So, in my opinion, this is the best dry cleaner in South Mission/Potrero so give it a whirl and let's support these guys in their mission to keep shirt colors everywhere ink-free. ** UPDATED 1/16/08: Still giving this place 5 stars because the couple running it is so nice and reliable. Whoever does their shirts no longer buttons the cuffs for you, but I am still a loyal customer. BTW...they LOVE IT when you bring the old hangers back to them. read more

I heart Zhengs! I get my wash and fold here because I just hate doing laundry. The actually take the time to pair up my socks! Who does that? and by the way the got new laundry tickets that say Zhengs. read more

I live nearby and had high hopes based on the reviews. My first visit I dropped off some dress shirts and a couple of cotton dresses. I picked them up and headed home not really looking at them. Bad move. All the items looked like they were hand ironed...by me. In other words nothing had that smooth pressed look that I'd come to expect getting something professionally ironed. It really looked like something I had done myself. I found another place in the Mission, Young's Alterations, on Mission and 18th and had good experiences, so didn't go back to Zheng's. But recently I was in a time crunch and dropped off a suit, sport jacket and trousers to be dry cleaned in a moment of poor decision making. The good news is that the trousers look ok. The suit came back with the front pocket wrinkled, odd since it wasn't wrinkled when I gave it to them. The sport jacket had an obvious stain on the lapel. The other reviews refer to a nice couple. I've only met a middle aged man who I have lots of trouble communicating with. He tries to ignore what I'm saying. If I press him, he says some sort of jibberish. I think he's the one who actually does the ironing. But he uses a hand iron and steam not a professional machine (you know they have forms shaped like an arm or shoulder). read more

This place is a great small neighborhood dry cleaners. Friendly older couple that runs it, and a hole in the wall that's withstood the test of time. They used to have tons of reviews, not sure why now they only have a handful and some from one-offs. I do admit, they do open later than advertised some days, so dont plan on meeting them at start of your business or it could be frustrating. read more

5-stars all the way for Zhengs Cleaners. I used to live 1/2 a block away and went there once when Mr.Lee owned it. He liked to smoke in the small store and turn-around times stank (like the pun ;) so when it changed hands I figured I'd give it a go. I was THRILLED. Mr & Mrs Zheng are a lovely couple, always so pleasant. Drop cleaning in before 9am and you'll get it back after 9.30 the next day (how great is that!!). And all for $3.50 per piece! I recently moved out of the area, but I'll go out of my way to continue to get my cleaning done there. read more

I LOVE the Zhengs....I went in there today to get a pair of pants hemmed and they did it while I waited and the best catch...$8.00 and it only took an half hour...oh my god, these two people are so sweet, and they do a great job on everything, I think they are the best around as far as serving you with a smile...meeting your deadlines...price and CUSTOMER SERVICE and I just love their whole family...they really care about your clothes...the only drawback is that it is in the mission but they will serve you RIGHT:) read more

Do not patronize this business. They use cheap, very low quality materials and have bad customer service. I brought in two pairs of pants that needed new zippers. One pair's zipper broke the first day of use. The 2nd pair also broke 3 days later when I used them. I came back to the store immediately and they were very rude and refused to honor the quality of their zipper materials and work. read more

I want to like this place because they are close to my home ... BUT ... they say they are open at 8am ... once I went at 8:15 and they were closed. Another time, I went at 8:45am and they were closed. Kind of sucks when you want to pick up your laundry so you have clean clothes for work and they aren't open as promised. read more

I took a bunch of clothes here for dry cleaning and a few pairs of jeans in to get hemmed. They did a great job on the jeans and everything was done in 2 days. In addition, it was the cheapest, quality dry cleaning that I have found in the city. Each piece of clothing cost about 3$. I would definately recommend this family owned drycleaners. read more
