We come on Monday night for kids fundraising events. It was not busy, but we need to wait until someone comes to greet and take us to the seat. Then we wait until the server comes to take our order. There were a lot of servers walking around, but not sure what they were doing. When the food came, the burger was ok. The fries were soggy, but their sweet potato fries were good. One thing that night after I was done eating and went to the restroom to wash my hand, it was horrible!!! Once I opened the door it was smell disgusting and I saw it was very dirty. My go-to for a turkey burger and fries! They have a gluten free bun option and have a dedicated fryer for fries, if you request them to be gluten free! Also, probably the BEST root beer float I've ever had! Both the vanilla ice cream and root beer are top notch! I've been dying to try Zinburger's pitcher and pull-apart special (pitcher of sangria, basket of fries and four mini cheeseburgers for $22) and finally had the chance to after last night's storm. Delicious, great price and totally worth the wait. The fries were light and crispy, burgers were juicy and flavorful and the sangria (zingria) was perfect. We also had the zucchini fries, which were top-notch. It was packed when we arrived and there was a wait to get a table, but we were able to get bar seats right away. The service was fast and friendly, despite the crowd. I came here with my dad last night around 5:30 and we were seated right away. Our server was very helpful with drink recommendations and pointed out to us that we could order the happy hour fry basket for the same price as the small fry. Both of the fries were very tasty and I loved the yogurt sauce that came with the sweet potato fries. My turkey burger tasted very fresh, from the bun to the meat to the vegetables and toppings that came with it. My dad absolutely loved his burger and said it was one of the best burgers he's ever eaten! While this meal can be a little pricey for burgers, you are definitely getting higher quality burgers than at other restaurants. Zinburger has been one of favorites since moving to Tucson but this recent experience (like the one before it, just a week before) was outstanding! There's plenty to choose from on the happy hour menu and that is a great value. I am perfectly fine with the portion size on the happy hour burger, and to mix things up, I went with the spicy fried chicken sandwich on this visit, and it was just perfect. The chicken was moist and tender, the amount of breading was just right, there was not a HINT of greasy/oily residue at all, the Sriracha was excellent, the bun was soft, the pickles delicious and specifically they offset the Sriracha just a bit so that sandwich is a total winner. The fries have always been excellent here, and last year for a while they switched to the crinkle cut, which were excellent, but now back to the regular hand-cut fries and they are even better than I remembered. Not too salty, hot and crispy, and yes you can taste potato, actual potato, not just "it tastes fried." We had the wedge salad this time, which we usually do, and sometimes we have the farm salad. Both are great. But on this visit, the wedge was awesome. I don't know what particular brand of bleu cheese they use, but it is quality, and they don't chintz with the amount of it. Lettuce was fresh and cut up small, the whole thing was fresh, delicious, easy to manage. But service is what made this experience even more memorable. David was our server, and he was completely on his game. Acknowledged us quickly, got the beverages (and appetizer) order in, even remembered a chiller for the bottle of wine; checked on us at just the right times, he is one of the better servers we've had at ANY restaurant. He was pleasant and friendly but SO efficient, he just did not miss a beat. Hold on to this guy. He is going places. I get the feeling he could easily serve at any high end restaurant. The Samburger is made with Applewood Smoked Bacon, American Cheese, Lettuce & 1000 Island. The bacon plentiful yumm. The cheese melted perfectly. Talk about a perfect bite. These are very filling and satisfying quality burgers. I'm not much of a fries person. A few go a long way. But the sweet potato fries are soooo very good. I could've eaten them all by myself. And then there's my fave. The onion rings. Beautifully coated, perfectly fried nicely seasoned. These don't fall apart so you end up with only breading, the onions are so nicely cooked you can take a bite of these onion rings and get both breading and onion in every not to salty perfectly seasoned bite. The salad was a nice addition. This meal will serve two very hungry individuals. Or the hamburgers can be split and it really is a family meal. First time at this location. The server I had was malfunctioning. I asked for a water for my dog and she brought me water in a glass, it was hard to order my food; we had to start over twice because she didn't understand what I was saying when ordering my food. The bartender is who sat me on the patio, the bartender is who brought out my food, the bartender is who brought out my cup of ranch, the bartender brought my food back to the kitchen. I told him I didn't want the food to come back to me (because I didn't want to risk the staff spitting in my food) The server did not like the fact I had a dog (she said it was because she as allergic but my dog is hypoallergenic) and the encounter was off from the beginning. I personally won't come back to this location, and I don't recommend anyone else with pets come either. Having been at Zinburger numerous times in the past I decided to just bring up their menu to see if there might be anything that could be diet friendly. I looked over the menu and found this gem - the California Burger bowl. The name makes one immediately think of a salad with a burger on top. This is so way off base! Instead, the burger is served on a bed of deliciousness! The bowl is made up of roasted Brussels sprouts (with a great char), roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, avocado slices and griddled sweet potatoes on a bed of brown rice and quinoa. The turkey burger was nicely seasoned and quite moist (hate getting turkey burgers from other places, as they are generally bland and dry). Every bite was amazing with plenty of umami flavor to go around! I did order a small side of sweet potato fries that came with a yogurt dipping sauce. The dipping sauce reminded me of a tzatziki sauce. I enjoyed the dipping sauce on the turkey burger. The portion size was perfect for one person! This is my first Yelp review ever. Is there less than one star available? It feels like I was scammed out of 80 bucks. The food was so bad I reregistered to make this review. The food was gross and expensive. The burger was not cooked correctly and was bland. I have worked in kitchens for much of my life and am flabbergasted that they could screw up a hamburger. The bun was soggy, untoasted and fell apart as soon as I picked the burger up. My first bite of the hamburger was met with lukewarm meat, a soggy bun, and wilted toppings. The bill came out to around 80 bucks, and the food wasn't good enough to feed my dog. Our server was so friendly and helpful, I only wish I remembered her name.
