Spent the long weekend in Napa and found this spot in downtown. We came around 8:30-9 and were surprised there was no line, although the spot definitely had lots of people. One of the staff's attitude was shockingly unwelcoming -- almost bordering on discriminatory. One of the team members was outright rude, which made the whole interaction uncomfortable. If you're visiting with family or kids, be prepared -- you may not feel welcome here. We ended up choosing another restaurant nearby, and the contrast was night and day. Tarla, Osho Napa, and Scala were all warm, friendly, and far more accommodating. We had one of the first reservations, we sat right by the door and during our time there, it got busy quick (especially for a rainy Wednesday evening) with either people dropping by or people with reservations. The food was okay, I wasn't very impressed with the paella, which is what they're known for, right? But we did really enjoy the queso frito, grilled octopus and the iron steak. I can't say much about the drinks since we stuck to wine. I was just here with my family on the 31st of March to celebrate my sister's 34th birthday (party of 5, including myself) and I'll break it down for you all. Food is good, but the portions ain't worth it at all. Prices come between $10-$20 for the tapas dishes and between $35-$40 for the paellas. I was dying to try their roasted spaghetti squash after seeing fellow reviews and pics on Yelp, but our waiter, whose name we didn't get and didn't even bother to introduce himself, said they ran out and recommended their grilled asparagus. but not long after, even more bad news was that they ran out of that too and also didn't have lobster paella. Ok, so you're just going to try to recommend grilled asparagus and tell us that they ran out as well just shortly after trying to order that? Why didn't you just say you didn't have any more when we were ordering in the first place? He should have told us what items were out before placing the order so that way my family and I knew. A negative was pity the paella takes 30 minutes to ensure the rice gets thoroughly cooked, but we had plans to visit other places in the Napa area. A plus for the paella was that was the main dish that was able to fill me and my family up. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it at all.
