Visited on a Saturday morning, and was met with quick and friendly service. Zweet Cafe has ample and enjoyable indoor and outdoor seating, and street parking is readily available. The food was superb, with great flavors in both the burrito bowl and the fruit waffles. The iced latte drinks were both extremely creamy, so if you like that, you'll like the drinks. I'd be curious to try more dishes and drinks!

To Zweets Cafe Team, I have been a loyal customer of Zweets Cafe for many years and have always enjoyed coming in for my breakfast and coffee. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience during my visit this morning. There was a miscommunication with my coffee and my daughter's chocolate milk, as both were initially served hot. I politely asked if they could be remade cold, and the staff member kindly agreed. However, when the drinks were returned, it was clear that ice had simply been added to the hot beverages. As a result, both drinks were watered down and unpleasant. By the time I got home, I had to throw my coffee away because it tasted so poor, and my daughter's chocolate milk had the same issue. I was very disappointed, especially after clearly requesting the drinks to be remade cold. It felt like a waste of money and did not reflect the quality of service I have come to expect from Zweets Café. I am sharing this feedback in hopes that it helps improve future service, as I truly value your café and would like to continue being a loyal customer. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Got off of work in the area and was looking for a bagel spot and this popped up on my Yelp so I was curious to try it. Couldn't find parking in the front of the store where there was metered parking but found some on the street in the back. Not too difficult to find but can possibly be on a busy time of the day. Went inside and loved the aesthetic of the place as it was so spacious inside as well as the nice long table towards the back with all this drawings and writings on the wall. I wish I took a photo but it was really nice for a spot to use WiFi and do work or catch up with friends. Felt like a community space to be honest. And I like how much room there is in the one bathroom they have. There's a decent amount of seats inside. The service was super chill and nothing big of sort. Honestly came here to try a bagel and ended up seeing other things on the menu that caught my attention. It was pretty hot that day so I was feeling a smoothie and got the Mixed Berry one. Then, instead of the bagel, I got the French Toast w/ fruits as well as the Chicken Panini Sandwich. I honestly loved it all as they were so delicious and hit the spot. Would definitely recommend! After I cleaned up and threw things away at the trash by the exit, one of the workers asked me how it was and he seemed so genuine that it changed my little perception of the interaction in my beginning. Overall, I am pretty happy to have found this spot and will be back again another time I have work to do and in the Eagle Rock area. Thanks Zweet Cafe! :)

Spanish latte to the left. 10/10

I was told of this place by my friend who swore she had the best latte from here. There is only Street parking so be prepared to hunt for one. I actually thought this place was going to be a diner. However, once I opened the door I was set back at how cute and cozy this place really is. Lots of sitting area. Can accommodate a large group (10 people) and there's still plenty of room for others to sit. Aside from hot drinks they do offer a breakfast and lunch menu. I ordered a Spanish latte with oak milk aaaaaaaaand I don't think I've ever had such a creamy latte than this one. I don't usually order lattes because to me some places make them sweet. On the contrary this place made it just perfect. I returned the next day for a Turmeric latte and it was just as delicious at my Spanish latte. This place was so good I retired a third time had a Spanish latte again and decided to try their breakfast. I ordered the burrito bowl ( hash browns, eggs whites , Soyrizo and cheese). I was not a big fan of the bowl BUT they do serve a big portion. I think I'm consider a local by now lol. I will be returning. My drinks were made by Hasen and his brother who were very patient with me when I asked them about the drinks.

Zweet has such a great vibe and quality coffee. The espresso isn't weak like at other places and the service is excellent. It feels cozy and a great place to meet friends or work on your laptop.

A few months ago I decided that I was going to create a community page here on Yelp. Of all the breakfast places in Eagle Rock neighborhood 90041. I have learned there's more options than I knew of. This is my second to last place to try. I stopped by Zweet Café in Eagle Rock for a quick breakfast and walked away thoroughly satisfied. This neighborhood café has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes it a great spot to start your day--whether you're grabbing something to-go or hanging out for a bit. I ordered the breakfast burrito and a fresh berry smoothie, and both hit the spot. The burrito was hearty and well-balanced--stuffed with eggs, cheese, potatoes, and your choice of meat (I went with Turkey bacon). Sorry no regular bacon. Everything was cooked just right, and the tortilla was grilled to a perfect golden crisp. It wasn't greasy or overly heavy, just solid, satisfying comfort food. The sauce they give you is a perfect combination. However the portion of the sauce needs to be bigger. I could have asked for more sauce. But didn't. They do make fresh coffee and lattes however I'm not a fan. I was impressed that they offered real fruit smoothies. I had to have one I ordered the fresh berry smoothie was the ideal companion--light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. You could really taste the fresh fruit, and it had a great texture: smooth, but with just enough thickness to feel substantial. I also couldn't walk out the door without taking home some of their baked goods. The staff were friendly, service was quick, and prices were fair for the quality. Whether you're a local or just passing through Eagle Rock, Zweet Café is definitely worth a visit for a no-fuss, delicious breakfast.

Breakfast burrito with soy chorizo, veggie omelette with egg whites and the best hot sauce ever.
    Cynthia W.

My partner found this place for a Saturday brunch for us. We got there later, probably sometime around 2:30 or so, so it was pretty chill, and easy to find somewhere to sit. We got an veggie omelette with egg whites (which, in and of itself, was not much to write home about, but it was pretty and solid), and a breakfast burrito with soy chorizo (YES). The latter was very tasty and dense. But y'all. The HOT SAUCE is amazeballs. And they sell it on site! You can bring a jar home with you for $8! So of course we did. And put it on our own omelettes later in the week. This is a really cute spot to hang out if it doesn't get too crowded, although I feel like it might on the weekdays with people just camping in here to work. Will have to check it out during the week sometime. Parking is street, and we didn't have a problem with it on a weekend. Bathroom is single stalled and clean.

Finally got to visit zweet cafe near my home in eagle rock. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I felt welcome and taken care of throughout my visit. The menu is fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I tried their Spanish latte, and Vietnamese coffee. The flavors were fresh and perfectly balanced, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. Zaine was also helpful in helping me with my drink selection. The ambiance is perfect for anything--whether you're catching up with friends, studying, or just enjoying some quiet time with a good cup of coffee. The decor is modern and cozy, with plenty of seating and great lighting. I also appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a place with amazing food, excellent service, and a welcoming vibe, Zweet Cafe is the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

At Zweet you order food at the register and then sit down at a table. The staff will bring the food to your table when it's ready! The outdoor seating is in an enclosed patio area in front of the cafe with outlets and music.

The food has been enjoyable on my previous visits, which is why this last experience stood out. The food I ordered tasted great, and the beer and cocktails were excellent. Unfortunately, my friend's burger was served cold and wasn't cooked to his liking despite being specific about what condiments he could and could not consume. What disappointed me most was that our table felt rushed. From the time we sat down until the check was brought out, exactly one hour had passed. We were still enjoying ourselves and wanted to order another couple rounds of drinks, but the check arrived so quickly that it felt like we were being encouraged to wrap things up rather than continue our evening. I would've thought that was okay if the restaurant was busy, but it truly wasn't. Aside from our booth being in use, there were some people at the bar, another 2 booths occupied towards the kitchen side, and one table behind us at the corner in use, so it wasn't about them being busy. I'm hoping this was just a one-time experience because I've genuinely enjoyed my previous visits and would like to come back. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and I hope future visits feel a little more relaxed and allow guests to enjoy their time without feeling rushed to pay and leave.

In a not very obvious area of DTLA, next to Urth Cafe but no other restaurants. We didn't have reservations so we had the option of sitting at the bar or following the waitress to a back room area instead of the front room that is visible to everyone. My son is a minor, so to the back we went! Seriously, the closer we got to the back room the more I felt I had been cast in "The Chef." Scary! Lol! The back room is black. Blackout black! Black tablecloths, walls, chairs, dark, low light. Very luxurious and open space. Which - because it wasn't full at the time - felt a bit like being in the film, The Menu." A bit too upscale and empty to feel comfortable. More guests arrived later, a large table, so that was more comforting. The food: Recommended *Kara Kara Tamales: braised oxtail with a peanut butter sauce. Wow! The taste was wonderful! Hard to explain but Filipino/African food meets Latin food. It was on the "shared plate" menu, which to me means it will be a lot. But the 2 tamales were not very big. Still, they were so rich that the 2 really were sufficient to share. Quite filling. I couldn't get enough of the sauce! *Crab fried rice: Very tasty and generous portion. Plenty share! Not recommended: The street eats menu. Now, this is what pulled us in - the sights and smells of the food being grilled outside the restaurant. Most of which was on this meme. Like a tasting menu. But for price to portion ratio, it simply isn't worth it. I ordered the skirt steak. 4 oz, cut in half. Cooked down to what looked like .5 oz! Each on a toothpick sitting in a paper plate (or maybe it was cupcake holder?) IDK. I just know it wasn't a good presentation and the taste wasn't memorable. Regular. More grill smell than taste. Not at all worth $8. Service: Really nice. And mostly good. Though they did fail short by (1) Using only small appetizer size plates and (2) Not bringing a fresh plate to eat the crab fried rice on after the peanut butter sauce laced tamale appetizer was eaten. The server brought the fried rice, but didn't bother to give us fresh plates (nor silverware). My son was mortified when I grabbed a plate from one of the empty tables! (Teenager energy on full effect). But after initial attentive service, the variety of different servers whizzing by didn't stop to ask if we needed anything. And I sat waiting at least 8 minutes staring at the rice. I assured my young man that the servers would be fine with me getting another plate to save them from having to. And once I did, he suddenly started eating from my plate of my peanut butter free fried rice. And of course, when a server did attend to us and I let her know, she was glad I took matters into my own hands instead of not eating for 15 minutes. Thoughts: Go for dinner, and order from the full dinner menu, skip the skimpy street eats menu. With reservations you can sit in the main restaurant area that has some view to the outdoors. Without it - back to the black room you go! Know that it will be expensive. And it will be original. Not sure I'll go back. It's very "special occasion" upscale dining. But If I do it'll be with reservations. The meal was memorable and worth experiencing.

Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with authentic flavors and quality ingredients that stood out from the first bite to the last. The ambiance was welcoming and the art was tasteful. What truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. They were quick to offer recommendations and ensured everything was perfect without being intrusive. We ordered the tostaditas de atún agua chile negro, beet salad, carne asada taco and Al pastor taco and watched the World Cup game. Distrito Catorce combines exceptional food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service. It's the kind of place that leaves you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal. Definitely plan on coming back to watch more World Cup games.

I knew heading into Distrito Catorce that I wanted to see three things . The closing art exhibit,…read morehear the live band, and finally try Chef Jonathan's menu. It was basically a grand slam. To be honest, I was already biased because his Smorgasburg pop-ups were consistently good. But Distrito Catorce is different , it's like art. My favorite dish was the tacos de papa with salsa macha. The crunch of the potato taco riding into the salsa macha and crema felt like home, but with some extra pop. His salsa game is on point. The scallion salsa on the ribeye taco was also gas. Lastly, I really dug the tostadita de atún. It hit perfectly on these hot summer days. Low-key, I still want to try the El Rey de Noche. Tacos de beef trompo are starting to hit LA, and dude was ahead of the curve making picanha-brisket tacos de trompo. Service is smooth too. The servers are helpful, and solid at the bar. Overall, it's a cool spot with a menu that feels unique to LA.

Don't expect deference if you make a reservation! Good thing…read morethis place has delightful food, good waitstaff and inviting atmosphere. The hostess left something to be desired. I have been here a few times for dinner but this was first time for brunch. I made a reservation, was asked to confirmed reservation 3x, noted it was celebrating a birthday and gave no preference on seating. I arrived on time, but one of my group was parking. There were a few people milling around and I was greeted with "checking in?" No hello, no welcome, no mention of celebrating and told to let them know when entire party arrived. (This is becoming more common to be seated along with a $25 per person fee if I canceled less than 24hrs. I know restaurants are struggling but come on!) I watched as 'walk-ins' were given priority tables and when our party was complete, she was squeezing in a 3rd chair to a small cafe table right by the pass through door. No asking our preference. When she returned to seat us, I said "you're not putting us at that small table are you?" Her response - "yes...unless you want to sit inside." How was that not a conversation first? A professional would have said "I apologize, where would you prefer to sit? I see you made a reservation, are celebrating an event and we had some unexpected guests for seating options." Perhaps she was having a bad day, or was still reeling from a prior customer interaction but she was NOT up to the standards I equate with Manuela. Go for the food but don't think by making a reservation you get any special acknowledgement.
