We love ordering delivery from Zzeeks off of Warner, so we stopped by this location while shopping nearby. Clean and great outdoor seating. The staff was friendly, but we had an odd experience. They brought out an appetizer that we didn't order. They continued to look at me like I was crazy, but I knew what I ordered. I didn't want a $10 app that I did not order. They begrudgingly took it away and brought me my cash. Our pizza was good but not as good as when we got it delivered. Then several minutes after they brought out pizza, they brought another one, to then realize we also did not order another pizza. It was bizzare. Overall, not bad. First timers! Very welcoming staff! When asked for recommendations, multiple options were given. We got the antipasto salad, which had more than just greens in every bite. We got the cheesy bread w/ marinara, tasty! We were going to order the taco pizza, however they don't sell it anymore, so we got the dill pickle pizza. We liked it a lot, however it was a little heavy on the mustard, and I really like mustard, so I would have a lot more with a smidge less mustard. We got the wings, GET THE WINGS! We got honey hot and honey citrus pepper......chef's kiss! The crunchiness was 10/10 the flavor was perfectly balanced! We will be back for the wings to try other flavors in addition to the two we had! The pizza was great! Bold marinara flavor, light dough with a little bit of the tiniest of crunch! The latest addition to world pizza domination. We went to this newest Zzesty Zeek's location to celebrate my birthday. It was very different than the other locations. Seemed smaller, but it was still good. I got the pepperoni that has many different options of pepperoni put all on one pizza. After reviewing my order to make sure i did not make a mistake I called the store and explained the situation, I was told it may be a glitch in the system but there is nothing they can do about it. We just ordered a pizza for the first time. We usually order from Spinnatos in Awhatukee because my weird gut can't tolerate just any sauce. We knew the type of pizza we wanted but weren't sure about the type of crust as far as thickness. We looked everywhere in the site and could not find the crust description so I went for the Brooklyn crust hoping it wasn't too thick (hello! Have you ever eaten a pizza in Brooklyn), my bf got the normal crust. My pizza was not just thin but burned to a crisp, even the Basil was charred! Very misleading names. I called and told them what I thought of their cracker burned crust and I wasn't super kind, I'll be honest about that but only AFTER I realized the guy didn't really care. The pizza here was actually pretty good. The sauce is a little spicier than I like, but that's why they call it Zesty Zzeeks. The service though was really bad two times in a row. The first time, they delivered wings which came with absolutely no sauce on them. Just plain, fried wings. What? So I called and the employee said he would check on it and call me back in 5-10 minutes. 30 minutes later, no call, so I called back. To his credit, he was on his way with the wings, But he never called back to let me know. We did get replacement wings about an hour after the pizza. Tonight I called in Pizza and wings and they said it would be ready for pick up in 15 minutes. I was there 15 minutes later and they could not find my order. Then they found it, but I don't think they started on it because I was there for another 30 min. OK, things happen, but usually a manager will come out and apologize or maybe offer you an appetizer... Nope. He left it to the poor 17-year-old girl at the front desk to apologize. It was very warm in there so I asked for a glass of water and he said he'd have to charge me for the Styrofoam cup... This is after being 20 minutes late with the pizza. But the nice girl found a glass and gave me some ice water. Other customers were having the same late pizza problem. This clearly was not a very experienced manager. We just tried Zesty Zzeeks Pizza Ocotillo for our first time a few weeks ago and we're already back for more. We had with the hand tossed pepperoni pizza and bone in hot wings made extra crispy. Delicious both times, this is our new go to pizza joint! My only wish is that the place was a bit bigger as they have limited inside seating and due to the fact that it's so delicious, the place is packed. They do have outdoor tables, which are great before the weather gets hot. Currently eating the leftovers! Mmm! So good!! I really love pizza, and this place is so good. We ordered drivethru and it came right on time! They respected covid guidelines, which was awesome. The girl who dropped off the pizza was so sweet and thanked me for the tip. She was the one with the pretty red hair! She's awesome and is very nice! I'm gonna post a picture of my leftovers lol. Zzeeks did a curbside pick-up event for $5 cheese pizza. The routing for the event was pretty confusing as people were cutting in line etc but with the turnout somewhat expected. Once I eventually reached the front they had it pretty organized and the service was super nice. I ordered 2 of the cheese pizzas only but they also were selling other items as well. The cheese pizza was smaller than I expected however it was tasty and had a nice crispy crust. The cheese was extra "cheesy" which was amazing as well. Overall, for the $5 amount is a good price but a tad smaller than I was expecting. Great small business and nice employees, however looking at their regular prices for the pizzas (think it's $12 for this same pizza normally) it is priced at the upper end. I would give the place a try if you're looking for something locally but definitely leverage deals as the regular prices feel high. read more

We used this location for takeout pizza tonight. I can't imagine returning. The ingredients are just average in quality, like Domino's, with a few, like the Canadian bacon, being far below average. Two of our girls had ham on their pizza and they both said it smelled like old rubber. We placed an online order for 3 pizzas with a scheduled pickup time of 45 minutes later. The online system said it could be ready in as little as 15 minutes. So we arrived at our pickup time and it was going to be just another 5-7 minutes. After 15 minutes, we asked again, and it was "just another 5-7 minutes" yet again. During this process, 1 of 3 pizzas was sitting in the heating are the whole time. Another came out about halfway through. The 3rd was out about 20 minutes after the scheduled pickup time. We felt bad for another guy waiting for his 4 pizzas, 3 of which sat under the heating element for the entire time we were there. If I were running a pizza place and orders were this far behind, I would have offered guests a $5 or $10 off coupon on the next order. The physical layout of the restaurant is bad - staff are continually busting through the customer waiting line, carrying pizza from the right or beverage orders from the left. Staff were rather rude as they pushed us out of the way. They sprayed some industrial cleaner on the tables to clean and disinfect them. I appreciate that, but the smell was awful - I lost my appetite while waiting. When we first arrived, it took the cashier several minutes to find our order. She tried telling us we hadn't ordered from them. I spelled my name for her three times and she looked me up using the wrong spelling each time. Finally, she found us. It took one cashier 10 minutes to take a phone order, while the rest of us waited in line - without a second cashier coming forward until the end of that 10 minutes. 3-7-20 update; Things have improved. I was really enjoying their NY style but now that the store has its legs under it, the pies have improved. Toppings are dense, crust crispy yep chewy with a slight tang. Very very good, people that work there are going for it - I appreciate the vibe. This is by far the best pizza in the Ocotillo area.
