My colleagues and I stopped by here in June for breakfast before we flew back from our work trip. I found 1228 on Yelp as one of the top places for brunch in the Arts District. It was already so hot even though we went around 9-10am. Food, drinks, and pastries were all so good! Even my chat GPT recommended this place and few items from their menu! Staff was super attentive and nice and everything was so good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the decor[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and if I live in the area I would've loved to come back at night for the bar section. Highly recommend!

Cassie, our server, was fantastic. She accommodated us flawlessly and made perfect recommendations. Our food was amazing, we will be back!

Stopped in for coffee and a loaf of Sourdough to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wonderful dining room when you walk in, about 14 tables and 3 booths that probably seat about 4 people. Lots of seating at the bar area, and a large window table that seats about 6 people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was not loud at all for a Sunday morning, around 10:30 am.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Coffee is superb, sourdough loaf was soft and delicious. Lots of pastries and breads to choose from. Friendly staff and service. Food coming out on large plates and platters looked really good and the constant aroma of everything being cooked or brewed, just mouthwatering. I will definitely be back to try the breakfast and lunch menu. What a gem in the heart of downtown Vegas.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This was a great spot that my friends and I enjoyed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We arrived at 9:30am and easily got a table for 4. We were so enraptured in our conversation, we took forever ordering from the menu but the waiters were kind and patient. I got a cappuccino, the crème brûlée croissant, and the Main Street special (eggs, toast, bacon, and potatoes). The croissant was so good and the bacon was utter perfection. Everyone enjoyed the meals and my friend was raving about the matcha. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is also very pretty and the bathrooms were clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can also order at the counter and take your things to go. They had tables outside too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I look forward to a future visit.

What a cute little gem downtown. Great location if you are checking out all the vintage and antique shops. The parking is a little challenging so give yourself time before your reservation. The service was remarkable. Our guy was very attentive and helpful the entire time. Before I left I ordered a coffee, he saw I took the lid off to cool it down and without asking he brought me a cup of ice to help. He was very thoughtful and pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was loud but it's cute and simple inside and with the outside light coming in made it nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a nice bar separated by a wall from the dining area. It is welcoming and nicely lit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Reuben sandwich. The bread was dripping in butter but had a great flavor and was still crunchy. The pastrami, slaw and Russian dressing combo was really delicious and I'd recommend. The fries were good, I would maybe have cooked them 1 minute longer but I like mine more crunchy. My husband had the brunch burger with bacon and egg and he really liked it but would suggest to add another patty if you're hungry. My fil had the Smash double patty burger and he said it was really good. The buns were soft and tasted fresh and the meat was well flavored. They have a super cute pastry bar that looks amazing but I was too full to try anything but we will go back again soon.

First time trying this place. I got the pastrami Ruben on sourdough instead of multi grain. The sandwich was delicious! But word of warning it's really messy! It has Cole slaw with Russian dressing instead of sauerkraut. But it tastes very good. The dressing makes it messy though. But it was worth it. The fries are crispy despite being on the fat side. The sandwich is not large but it was filling and I couldn't eat all the fries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a bar on one side of the restaurant and a dozen or so tables. On this Friday for lunch about 1/2 the tables were open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is very good and I got my food pretty quick and he checked back often. Checking out took a little bit because I used a coupon

So much quality & local spots in this part of town! Love 1228 Main for a good spot to enjoy a meal or a good spot to grab pastries! We need more of this kind of combo in the "suburbs " of Vegas! Come out to us please! We enjoyed our meal, dessert and takeaway goodies! Very nice and clean restaurant and service was also wonderful! Thank you!

Exterior is very modern and chic.

Hubby brought me here on a surprise impromptu date night, so I didn't really know what to expect. I was very pleased with my meal at 1228 Main. There are some issues, but this restaurant does a lot really well. The menu is very limited, and there are little to no vegetarian / vegan options. This really shocked me, especially for a restaurant in the Arts District. I'm unsure if the chef would be willing to accommodate, but it seemed like the type of place that you'd be told "no" if you wanted to modify something to be meatless. Minus a star for limited veggie options. Another thing I didn't like was the overall atmosphere. It's a working bakery and kitchen, which means there was a never-ending clatter from the kitchen as well as the distracting smell of bread baking. Both kitchens were also producing a lot of heat, and the restaurant was uncomfortably warm. I was not cool and relaxed, and they are in desperate need of better air conditioning. I cannot imaging how horrid the summer months must get, and I will be sure to avoid dining here during that time. I also found the service to be lacking. It wasn't unprofessional, but I would call it inattentive. For a nicer, chef-driven restaurant, I expect far, far better service. My water glass shouldn't be empty, and I would appreciate a server at least checking in on my within 5 minutes after my meal is served. Our waiter dropped our food and never returned, leading to us having to repeatedly try to flag down anyone to bring us water since we were desperate for a drink! Now on to the good! The food was so fresh and tasty. While the menu didn't offer detailed enough descriptions, I was happy with what I ordered. We shared a shrimp appetizer that was beautifully fried and presented, and the portion was large (actually, I'd say it was too large) for two people. I'd only order this again if we had one or more friends with us. The shrimp quality was exceptional, and the flavors were on point. Next up was the bread service with butter. Get this. It features whatever fresh breads they've made recently, and it was so good. I actually wish this was larger, I needed more bread slices! Our server gladly brought us extra butter for no additional charge, which I appreciated. For our entrees, hubby got the steak and I got the shrimp pasta. He said the steak was good, but not great. My dish was excellent. I loved the fresh flavors and the sweet peas added so much to the buttery sauce. We both had leftovers and agreed that the dishes reheated so well that they tasted almost as good as they did the night before! I was pleased with how reasonably priced the wine list was! I got a quality glass of sparkling wine for $14, and he got a special pickle juice cocktail for under $20. The cocktail was laughably small, but they didn't skimp on liquor or flavors. The wine list and cocktail list are incredibly well curated. The dining room was surprisingly empty at 6:30 on a Saturday night. It was very easy to secure a reservation at the last minute. I hope that's not forecasting a bad time ahead for this restaurant. Eventually a few tables started to fill in, but it was far from packed on a weekend night. Despite a few bumps in the road, I will recommend 1228 Main and will be sure to return. I don't think it's destined to be a personal favorite of mine, but I will add it to our local dining rotation.

Enjoyed some breakfast down here in the Arts District! I had the Quiche and my mother had the 2-egg breakfast! This is definitely one of my favorite quiches I have had. Nice and crispy top, flakey crust and soft creamy inside! The service was great, and very attentive. Nice early morning crowd, but seated immediately.

1228 wow! I am a repeat customer and you can find me at the bar with an espresso martini in hand. Last year my favorite brunch item was discontinued and that was the egg salad sandwich. I know that sounds like a boring option, but let me tell you! I miss it everyday. I do enjoy their burger and croissant sandwich. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a cute spot where you can see the pastries being made and prepped.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar area is a great place to chit-chat with whoever you're with![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is also a solid brunch choice. At the end of your meal, ask for the cookie of the day and get it warmed!

1228 is amazing!!! I visited 3 times for weekend brunch before I wrote this review and it has been consistent all along! Located in the Arts district - 1228 Main provides Las Vegas locals with top quality foods, great menu selection and artisan pastry and bread chefs, and all that in local setting! Prices are also appropriate! First time I got here, I was skeptical about the bakery in the Arts district, but after trying their donuts, breads, quiches - I was blown away! Every weekend I came here there was a different special item they were pushing - yet it was always good. Even matcha filled donuts (I am no matcha lover) were awesome!!! Of note, I would say breakfast burrito is fabulous, quiche is good and I really liked corned beef hash with eggs! Service is good. Consistently good. To be honest we felt our server first and second time might have been nice to us, so the third time we had a different server and it was still great! Ambiance resembles open space with dark wood tones contrasted with white open kitchen! Very clean and immaculate! Street parking was not the problem for weekend brunch!!!

I can't believe it's taken me this long to check out this spot. What a cute place!! Came here with my sister in law, mother in law, and our friend. We stopped in for some lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't terribly busy. We were seated right away. I love that there is a dining room area as well as a separate bar area. They also do have a few seats outside for patio dining as well. But the ambiance inside is spectacular. To drink, three of us ordered the Hands Down cocktail. It sounded super refreshing. I did want to try the Dirty Anna, but I'll try that next time. The Hands Down cocktail was hands down the most delicious!!! I know that's cheesy, but I don't care. It was everything I wanted. Super refreshing. The glass it was served in was also so dang cute. For lunch, I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. I've been on a fried chicken sandwich kick lately, so I was glad I ordered this. It was soooo good! The slaw had a nice kick to it and the chicken was cooked perfectly. It was hard not to devour the entire thing. We ended up coming back in here later to grab a shot and had them make the Hands Down into a shot and it was delicious. Our server even stopped by at the bar to say hi to us again haha. Love the service here and again, food is phenomenal! I'll definitely be back.

While I can't speak to their entire menu, their pastries and Sourdough loaves are always on point. I'll make it a point to sit down and eat there next time. But their bread is fantastic!

The restaurant was set up with 2-3 themed rooms connected by a wide hallway with a bar. The restaurant overall was decorated in chocolate brown cloth and chocolate brown leathers. I got to sit in "The Pearl Room". This room was gorgeous and was covered in TONS pearls. I quickly discovered that I was way underdressed (leggings and a Nashville t-shirt lol) but the staff never treated me as I didn't belong. The staff gave everyone 5-star service and treated me as if I was the most important person in the room the whole time I was there. The restaurant was all small bites, but did not leave you hungry. To drink I had the Bubbles & Berries. This was light, refreshing, and bursting with strawberry flavor. To eat, I had Roasted Bone Marrow, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup Dumplings, Panzanella Scallops, and Truffle Mac & Cheese with Lobster. WoW-just WoW! All of the food was elegant yet had the flavors that make you do a food dance. My favorite was the Roasted Bone Marrow and the Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup Dumplings. The bone marrow was out of this world delicious! This was the best bone marrow that I have every had. It was silky smooth and melted the second it hit your mouth! The Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup Dumplings were amazing! The dumplings were a well-seasoned surprising bite of flavor that was complemented by a rich and creamy elevated tomato soup. The Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail was fresh, large, and complemented by a beautiful cocktail sauce. The Panzanella Scallops were delicate, rich, and buttery. They were also cooked to perfection. The Truffle Mac & Cheese with Lobster was good but my least favorite. The flavor of truffle was not found and there was very little lobster with what could be found being extremely small pieces. The cheese also could have been a bit more creamy so that the pasta was covered a bit more. I probably will skip this item on my next visit. I came for the immersive weirdness, the LED-lit chaos, and maybe a drink that comes in a pouch. What I got instead was a plate that looked like it had just pinned a Philly cheesesteak in a back-alley brawl and then celebrated with a basket of golden, crispy tater tots. Two generous sandwiches arrived looking like they were trying to escape their own excess. Soft rolls barely containing a tangle of chopped steak, peppers, and a luxurious, lava-like cheese sauce that clung to everything like it had trust issues. This is almost certainly the **Cheesy Rider** (or its close cousin), and it rides hard: savory, slightly sweet from the onions and peppers, and unapologetically messy. The kind of sandwich that demands two napkins, a strategy, and zero shame. One bite in and you're already calculating how many more you can justify before your waistband files a formal complaint. Beside them sat a metal basket of tater tots that had clearly been fried with ambition. Crunchy exterior, fluffy interior, the perfect vehicle for the two tiny cups of ketchup that stood guard like loyal, tomato-y sidekicks. These weren't afterthought tots. These were "I will ruin your dinner plans in the best way" tots. The kind you keep reaching for even after you've sworn you're full. The plate itself--crackle-glazed, slightly dramatic--felt right at home in The Beast's steampunk-meets-gastropub lair. Background plates of nachos and other shareables hinted that this table was living its best group-dining life, and honestly, same. Everything about the setup screamed "order more than you need and regret nothing." Is it fine dining? No. Is it the kind of comforting, over-the-top, flavor-forward fuel that makes perfect sense after wandering through Omega Mart or whatever delightful sensory overload AREA15 throws at you next? Absolutely. The Beast doesn't just feed you. It feeds the part of you that still believes a great sandwich and a mountain of tots can solve most of life's problems--at least until the check arrives. Verdict: Worth the pilgrimage into the belly. Just don't wear anything you care about. That cheese sauce has main-character energy.

The dining area and outdoor patio give a rustic country kitchen feel which suits their fresh seasonal ingredient filled menu. We have honestly never had a bad meal here. The food tends to disappear before we get to take pictures, sorry that's lacking. I've read the service here isn't good, but we've either been lucky or just have come on good days because we haven't had any issues. The only issue that is kind of a nonissue is that it gets busy fast, of the 3-4 times we've eaten here we've probably come 10 times and there was a loooong wait so we decided to go elsewhere. If you're in the area and want something delectable for lunch or dinner, I'd say yes stop in and enjoy yourself !

Service was slower than we expected considering the restaurant was not yet very busy. Servers were not very attentive and seemed bothered when we wanted to place our order, but I get it...they were probably still waking up. It was obvious that isn't the standard as the person pouring water made sure our glasses were never empty, and the person who appeared to be head chef was fixated on details and making sure every dish went out perfectly - which it did. Fantastic food. So, I can forgive the slower servers but hope management addresses as it is clear there are high standards in this establishment. At the end of the day - would still take guests here and even drop in for brunch if it's just me and the hubby. Decor is cute. Menu is fun and every dish was fantastic. (Even the servers uniforms are nice.) Will be back and hope next time that our server wants to help us. Brother even said the chicken sandwich was one of the best he had ever had. I can say the same for the avocado toast!!!

Everything we tried was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The duck is a must-have dish. Great atmosphere and a fun spot to share a few dishes. The vibe was also great and lively, as it's located inside the Cosmopolitan hotel. Would definitely come back!

This is really helpful and dependable especially for Las Vegas that are notorious for a long wait (for good food). So if you want a good asian food with no wait, come here! It was only 2 of us coming here for a late lunch, but I really wanted to try their family menu. Either the duck rice or the bossam. Luckily they were able to accommodate us to order half the portion of Bossam family style. For the duck rice, unfortunately they couldn't. It was a total of $118 for the half portion of bossam. As expected, it was delicious! It came with some sides of kimchi, rice, lettuces, and ginger scallion sauce. They also offered us if we want to refill the sides. It was sooo much food, we ended up taking it to go. It was seriously enough for 4-6 people perhaps! The pork was so good, it's on a sweeter side. It has a good combination between fatty and lean part. So good with the rice, lettuce and kimchi. I definitely want to try their family menu duck rice one day. Just have to find people to share them with!
