What a treat after a long travel day.

Ummm...wow! I ordered the Vegan Hot Sausage PoBoy and I knew I was in love after the first bite! I can't remember the last time I had a sandwich this good. It's got a kick to it but it won't burn your face off. Did I mention how big this sandwich was?! I think it's a foot long. You will be full when you're done. It goes so well with sweet tea. The service here is great and the owner is super friendly. They have an outdoor seating area that's really nice and an inside dining room as well.

Tasty vegan sandwiches and wraps, I had the crabby patty served as a wrap. My husband had the Vegan Hot Sausage PoBoy and we shared the huge serving of fries he ordered. We got the chocolate chip cookies to go! Nice inside dining and the owner was friendly. Good food, we left stuffed!

I was skeptical, but this gumbo is amazing! It even has "sausage" and "hot sausage" and they taste like the real thing.

I've only been vegan for a few days, but this is the first time I've been full since I started. I could not stop eating even though the plan going in was to save half of it for lunch tomorrow. We got the Bass Burger which features an impossible patty and we got one of the bean burgers. I'm not a bean burger fan, but it tasted good. We cut it in half to reveal whole beans which leads me to believe that they are made in-house. I finished the Bass Burger. Both were on different kinds of buns. This attention to detail I really appreciated. The fries and fried mushrooms were delightful. Perfect seasoning on both. The mushrooms came with an herbaceous mayo-ketchup house made sauce. Their portions were GENEROUS. I couldn't stop popping either into my mouth even after I said I was done. My favorite parts of the meal were the gumbo and the pecan chocolate chip cookies. Can we say 'umami?' Because baybeeee, that gumbo had the sixth sense. The 2 "meat" varieties in it had the texture and taste of real meat. I felt like I was eating a "normal" gumbo. The cookie was hands down one of my favorites. As someone who loves sweets, but not sugar (if that makes sense), I loved how unsweet it was. The service was divine. Corey the owner was so welcoming. He offered to serve us our gumbo and cookies as we waited for our takeout. This we happily accepted. He's also a community leader in his own right, hosting events like yoga on Saturdays in their nice patio and having performances and talks in the cozy dining area. And the inside is adorable. The ambience really made me want to sit and stay for a while.

Five stars all the way. The food is absolutely amazing; I've been wanting a poboy since we arrived here in Nola, but until we visited 2 Phat Vegans I haven't found anything I could eat. The sausage poboy at 2 Phat is so good I'd be willing to cross the river again to have another one. My wife got the jerk chick'n wrap and, believe it or not, hers was even better than my sandwich was. They fed us so much that we couldn't even finish the side of fried okra we split. The owner was super friendly and easy going, and the ambiance was simply and homey -- like visiting a friend's house. This one is absolutely worth going out of your way for.

Fried egg plant, tastes like fried fish. Delicious.

This place is absolutely awesome. it changed names, but thank goodness it didn't change your recipes. I love the soups the awesome hot sausage sandwich and eggplant. This place does not disappoint. I travel miles to get to this place. It is wonderful. I didn't give it a five star because one time I did get a hostage sandwich that was a little too salty. Consistency is key.

Really nice meal before the show with my vegetarian friends…read more Recently a couple of friends and I needed to grab a quick bite. I thought we were going to another place when one of my guests suggested Thaihey across the street from the fire station on Decatur. Yes, sure. It's a typical Quarter restaurant with its long gallery seating. We were seated right away. The menu appeared to be heavily vegetarian which was great for my two friends. Many will understand the limited menu options for vegetarians at most places. Wes ordered Tom Kai, Becky the Massaman Jackfruit option and I the one with short rib. It was delicious. It was warm and comforting, full of flavor and the chef made it less spicy for me. What a delight to choose a menu option that I have never had and restaurant that I have never been to. You believe that I'll return for certain. Especially for that gorgeous Mai Tai!

The place has a nice feel and decorated modestly with a definite Thai influence from a city the owner may have been from. Our Takeaway was it's Thai with a twist, which was nice. Try Thaihey you should be pleasantly surprised.

As someone of Indian heritage who has eaten at Indian restaurants across the country and abroad, I do not offer five stars lightly. The Tandoori Chicken Tikka is the best I have ever had -- anywhere, full stop. The char is perfect, the marinade deeply fragrant, and the chicken impossibly tender. This dish alone is worth crossing the city for. The Chicken Biryani was layered and fragrant, with each component perfectly spiced yet cohesive. The Malai Gosht was rich and silky -- a quietly elegant dish that lingers on the palate. The Palak Paneer was vibrant and fresh, nothing like the heavy renditions found elsewhere. The Bullet Naan -- marketed as "eat at your own risk" -- delivered on its promise. Bold, building heat that commanded attention, but never reckless. Paired with a curry, it was outstanding. The Falooda dessert was a perfect finish: cooling, fragrant, and beautifully presented. The wine list was surprisingly decent for an Indian Restaurant. We enjoyed the Brunello! And the service -- led by Manager Aman -- was over the top in the best possible way. Warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in every guest's experience. The hospitality matched the kitchen's excellence at every turn. LuFu Nola is a must-visit. Easily the best Indian food in New Orleans.

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! We will be back.

The food was excellent and felt authentic from start to finish. The cocktail program was also top-tier and far better than what I've experienced at most Indian restaurants. That said, there are a few areas where I think the experience could improve. My girlfriend was trying Indian food for the first time, and we would have appreciated a bit more guidance from our server regarding the menu and spice levels, especially since she's sensitive to spice. A little direction would go a long way for first-time guests. I also noticed several walk-in parties turned away between 9:20 and 9:40 PM despite the restaurant closing at 10:00 PM. As someone who previously worked in the service industry, I understand that everyone wants to get home at the end of the night. Still, as a customer, I'd be disappointed to arrive during posted business hours and be turned away. Lastly, I felt the dessert program was a missed opportunity. The food and cocktails set such a high bar that a more robust dessert menu could really elevate the overall experience. On a positive note, I have to give a special shoutout to Satya, who was bartending and helping on the floor during our visit. He was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely enhanced our experience. Hospitality is hard to teach, and he absolutely nailed it. We'd gladly come back just to see him again.
