This is one of my fave burger spots in Los Angeles. But I'm not writing this to discuss the night time greatness. With that being said, I want to let the public know about 25 Degrees wonderful breakfast offerings. Form yogurt and cheesy hash browns to eggs Benedict. There is something for everyone ones palate. Since I pride myself as being a self proclaimed burger connoisseur. I went with the breakfast patty melt. It was meal I didn't want to end. That perfectly seasoned juicy sirloin burger paired with a mix of grilled onion, egg ( I wish the egg was cooked more over easy), American cheese and topped with crispy bacon and brioche bun. It's very rare for me to post, let alone for a bad meal. Worst dining experience I've had in years. Waiter came by to take our orders (nothing written down) and gave some attitude about what we ordered. Between the 4 of us we ordered 3 patty melts, 1 large tater tots, 1 large onion ring , 1 small fry and a kale salad. After over 20 minutes of waiting we only get the small fries and tater tots and both were ice cold. Took another 10 minutes to get someone over to the table to send them back. Another 15 minutes go by and the tater tot order comes out again ( The only thing served to us hot all night!). Another 10 minutes goes by and we get 2 cold patty melts. Still no salad, still no redo of the french fries and still missing the 3rd patty melt. Our original waiter finally stops by after another 15 minutes to ask if we got all of our food. At this point we were all very pissed about the whole experience and missing meals. Still no salad or 3rd party melt after sitting down for over 45 minutes.. Waiter eventually comes over again to try and offer up a to go salad which we told the waiter several times that we could not take with due to a concert right after dinner. ( we have now been there for almost an hour) and then tells us he's taken the missing food and one of the side orders off our bill. What a dinner disaster. Waiter blamed it on the kitchen. This restaurant sits in the beautiful Roosevelt Hotel. 25 Degrees is a cool diner that has been recognized as having one of the best burger in Los Angeles. I checked this place out with a few co workers. I came on a Sunday afternoon. The wait was about 20-30 minutes. While waiting I got to take in the beautiful crimson wallpaper and decor giving somewhat of a goth vibe. The restaurant is very much alley style and small. I ordered the the #2 which pretty tasty.My co workers got the chef special which looked amazing. The burgers are on average $20 and that doesn't include fries. We did an order of sweet potato fries, tater tots, onion rings. The were all very good. The tots have a hint of Cajun spice. Service was quick once seated. Overall it was a great restaurant that delivered a Hollywood experience. It's definitely worth checking out. read more

Our experience at 25 degrees was absolutely horrendous. A dear friend of mine and I walked in this restaurant expecting to be treated with respect and care. To our dismay, we felt discriminated against by two disrespectful and confrontational men, who rudely denied us access to an open booth. First, as we walked in and waited to seated, we were completely ignored. The place wasn't even busy. As we proceeded inside the restaurant and looked at the menu, one of the two men in question tried to sit us in an undesirable section of the restaurant. When we asked to be seated at the open booth, we were told that it was reserved for larger parties even though the other booths were occupied by parties of two only. To add insult to injury, these two irrational individuals "invited us" to put our names on a waiting list. Multiple tables and a booth were unoccupied, which begs the following questions, why were we initially denied access to the booth we desired to sit in, and why did we need to be on a waiting list at a restaurant that was not even that busy? My friend was willing to turn the other cheek by simply ignoring this very unpleasant situation. As her gracious host and as a pride resident of Hollywood, I simply was not willing to let it go. I was not willing to allow these two men to get away with this blatant discriminatory behavior. Needless to say, I was highly offended and deeply choked by how comfortable these two men were in denying us our legitimate set of rights as customers. After being pressured and faced with the fact that we were not willing to simply walk away, one of the two men in question tried to justify their wrongdoings by stating that the other parties of two sitting in multiple booths throughout the restaurant were simply there by mistake. He then rudely instructed us to, and I quote, "go sit at the open booth!" We rightfully decided to leave this restaurant and go dine at a place where we would be welcome as black people. On our way out, we ran into a wonderful security guard who works for the Roosevelt hotel. He immediately felt that something was terribly wrong. This loving and caring man took the time to not only listen to us voicing our disbelief, but he most importantly took it up on himself to properly investigate this terrible set of events. It took him just a few seconds to realize the great injustice we were inflicted with. He went above and beyond to resolve this issue as swiftly and peacefully as possible. His name is Joe, and he deserves the highest praise for his professionalism, compassion, and benevolence. Joe took us to the manager of the Shirley Bistro restaurant inside the Roosevelt hotel. They both apologized profusely for this unfortunate set of circumstances. The manager of Shirley was very hospitable to say the very least. I believe his name is Pierre. We were so thankful and appreciative for both Joe and Pierre's willingness to make things right, that we decided to have diner at their elegant restaurant. This place exceeded our expectations. We received fantastic service from our waiter Nathan, and from everyone that we came in contact with. The food was delicious. After experiencing such a disheartening situation at 25 Degrees, being treated with respect and integrity made us feel welcomed and valued as customers. I have long contemplated whether or not I should write this review as I am not a vindictive person. That being said, I cannot in good conscious allow anyone, let alone two rude and offensive men, discriminate against me; and most importantly, discriminate against a kind, loving, and caring African-American Lady. My intention for writing this review is to make sure future customers and minorities do not experience these blatant discriminatory practices. I surely hope that 25 Degrees will look into this matter with upmost level of urgency, and will ultimately remedy these unlawful and unethical behaviors. read more

This located on the bottom of the hotel share the same building I'm not sure if it's part of the hotel but they share the bathroom in the hotel lobby. I came for breakfast and there were plenty seats but they only let us sit on the bar table, an the couple behind us got seated on the table without reservation. And the server we have behind the bar is rude, I was asking a question he answered to me like I'm dumb. I had the breakfast burger with Canadian bacon, it has a barely cooked egg on top so its very messy to eat. Be aware you will get egg yolk all over your hand. Such a cool place we ate there 2 days in a row! The 21 burger was phenomenal!! Loved the caramelized onions! Service was great as every single waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great burger and fries! Had the double smash burger and the patties were crispy and seasoned great! The fries were crispy and fluffy and had plenty of seasoning. Saw some people were mad about the 18% charge, but my receipt had it printed in bright red ink, so I had no problem seeing it (though my parents practically carved into my brain to always read the receipt before you give your card lol). I can not say enough great things about this restaurant. I was on Hollyeood Blvd and looking for a comfortable place to grab a meal and drink before a flight out of LA. Found this gem on Yelp, and my friend and I decided to try it out. It is actually a psrt of the famed Roosevelt Hotel, I believe. The decor is velvet on the walls, and the hotel is rustic elegant. See pictures. The service was super friendly, and we were seated as soon as we arrived. We sat at the bar and had friendly conversations with the servers even though they were busy (they didn't drop a beat). My travel mate and I both went for burgers. I customized mine with blue cheese and caramelized onions, but they had many more options. I ordered their milkshake of the month, which a mix of bourbon, strawberry, and a whole cheesecake slice. Superb. It was so good that my travel mate ordered one as well. Stop here and try it this month if in the area, as I believe it is a limited option. 15 years later and I'm back. This time I'm with the family and no longer putting away 3 burgers a week in an amazingly time-consuming quest to give myself a heart attack. So I ordered the salad. Specifically, the kale salad. What came was not a kale salad. It was clearly spinach. I know because I've eaten kale salads before. Sometimes I even buy kale leaves and make the salads myself. Rarely, I will buy spinach (because spinach is not my jam), but I know what spinach looks and tastes like too. This was spinach, not kale. Mistake right? No big deal. Happens all the time. Except I call over the waiter and he proceeds to gaslight me into believing it was a kale salad. Employees were slow to sit me, greeting was lackluster and dry. Told me I could sit anywhere. The only place that was clean was a larger table so I went to sit there but was told I couldn't sit there. I asked if they could clean a smaller table for me. They halfway cleaned it but still left majority of the mess and the chair had lots of crumbs on it that i had to wipe off with my menu. It was also really cold inside the restaurant. The first bite i took of my burger i wasn't all that impressed. All it gave me was greasy and unflavored but my second and third bites uncovered more and more flavors. Once I got more of the chipotle aioli sauce Alex said the smokiness would pair with my burger selection nicely, also the jalapeños, I also added on the hatch green Chiles that he kindly brought me. I went in on a Saturday night around 8 p.m. It was mostly empty. We were a party of three. We ordered a double "smash" burger and fries (two people split it), fries, two waters, a diet coke, and an LA street dog. Total was a little over $62. That included an added "automatic service fee" of 18% on the receipt. The service was fine, waiter was friendly enough. The hot dog was just terrible. The bun was really hard, like it had been sitting out for a day or two. The hotdog seemed to be very old, extremely dry and almost hard. The vegetables on the dog were cold. I was so disappointed. The burger was just a regular patty that seemed to be frozen since there was no seasoning and it was not "smashed" at all. No salt, no pepper, so I doubt they made the patty themselves. Water was good, no chlorine taste. Fried were really good. This place is wayyyyyy overpriced for what tastes like frozen and microwaved food. My husband recently had lunch here and wanted to bring me back for dinner. The atmosphere is unique and fun. This restaurant is part of The Roosevelt Hotel. The hotel has a gorgeous iconic lobby, that transports you back in time. It has beautiful painted ceilings, but I digress, this review is for 23 degrees. We were greeted right away and were able to grab a corner booth. You have a great view of Hollywood Blvd if you want to people watch especially on weekends. The weekday scene is more chill. I had the number 2 burger. It was the unique paring of pesto and burrata cheese that made me choose it. It was a tasty burger. My daughter ordered the LA street dog. One of my favorite memories as a kid from LA is the street vendor carts and the smell of onion and hot dogs. This was definitely a bougie version of the street carts and delicious. My husband had a burger and no complaints from him. He loves the spiked milkshakes. We had great service! Some of the best I've had in recent months. My only criticism is some of the things that I asked for were not available. I was going to have a nice glass of Riesling with my meal, but they don't carry that anymore. It changes it seems because of Covid. When we were there we were able to dine in with limited capacity. I don't know if that is still the case with the new restrictions coming tomorrow. They will figure out something. You can always order take away and they have delivery. They have the best shakes in town and their burgers are the best, cooked the way you want and with whatever you want on it. They also have full breakfast and some wonderful sandwiches. I've always been more than suspicious of the quality of any retail joint at a major tourist mecca. And 25 Degrees sits squarely on ground zero of one of the biggest tourist feeding frenzies in the United States, that being, of course...the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, 25 Degrees is a few steps off the lobby and facing Hollywood Boulevard in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel which gives it legitimacy as compared to other joints that are out to make a quick buck from the endless stream of tourists. There's nothing fancy about this eatery; it's got the feel of roadside or old-school diner: a dozen seats at the counter and a handful of booths and tables. We've stayed at the Roosevelt three times over the past five years...over fifteen nights...so we've wandered into 25 Degrees a handful of times, mostly for breakfast, but also for a quick late night dinner. Some say that they make a mean burger, but we've never experienced it since our selections have been primarily early morning fare or an entrée salad. We've found the breakfasts to be solid, but the all-day menu to be limited in offerings...primarily a few salads, sandwiches, and of course, a burger selection. 25 Degrees is great when you're on the go and aren't looking for anything fancy, but need a meal that's satisfying and quick. And the service has always been efficient and pleasant. So next time your wandering the stars along Hollywood Boulevard and need to make a refueling stop without the jostle of the crowds, give 25 Degrees a chance. While it's doubtful that you'll see Brad Pitt or Margot Robbie enjoying Huevos Rancheros or a No. 2 burger...who knows...you might see me on my next visit to the Roosevelt. I didt really like much of their menu and I thought to myself I'll be safe with a Caesar salad, how can they mess that up right ? I stand corrected, worst salad in my whole life. We were staying at the Roosevelt, and passed by this place on our way in and out numerous times. It looked very inviting, so we gambled and came in for some dinner on our last night in town. We sat at the bar, ordered an absolute TON of food (way more than we should have). We split the Number 2 burger with prosciutto, and it was really tasty. It was slightly more done than we wanted (we like it medium rare) but good nonetheless. We also ordered the patty melt, which was great but the bread was super thick, which I probably should have asked about, but be warned. It's more "texas toast" style so it is a ton of bread. Finally, we got an order of fries and tater tots (they will split and give you both) and they were excellent. We had a few beers, too, and their selection was solid. I'd come back here, for sure.
