Amazing hot pot place! My family and I visited on New Year's Day for lunch and it we really enjoyed the food :) The restaurant itself is pretty small, but is decorated to mimic a traditional Chinese street which is pretty cool. Service was fast too, although there wasn't that many people when we were there. For soup base, we got two different types--mala house special butter (little mild) and chicken soup. I personally enjoyed the mala house special butter. It does err on the spicier side of the scale, so keep that in mind when ordering! The beef, lamb, vegetables, tofu and more were all really fresh and yummy. There is a pretty wide selection of food, from seafood to red meat to tofu, vegetables and noodles. The one downside is that it is pretty expensive, but you can choose portion sizes so I would recommend getting small plates if you want to try more stuff! Overall, I really enjoyed my time here so I would recommend if you're in the area!

We came here on a Saturday before 6pm and got seated right away. The options here for sauce bar was more limited compared to other places but the section of meats were about the same. A lot of stuff that were shown on the menu were sold out so we didn't get to try a lot of it. We got the spicy broth and tomato broth. The spicy broth chongqing style was good and had a good kick to it. The tomato broth was less flavorful. I would suggest the spicy broth if you plan to come.

The spice is insane. Definitely my go-to for spicy Chinese hot pot. The restaurant is tucked away in downtown Mountain View where the streets are always alive and beautifully lit. I was surprised to find out there were two floors - first floor is also shared with Teaspoon and second floor has karaoke rooms! I've been many times and service is usually quick, but on some days (busy or slow) I've been forgotten before. They have a variety of soup bases to choose from and I usually go for half original beef spicy oil base (medium spice) and half sauerkraut fish/mustard green base. The menu included many options for hot pot toppings and they all came out fresh. The meat tastes and looks high quality. They have a sauce/snack bar (~ $3-$4 per person) which is convenient. I also found it convenient to order Teaspoon from the QR code as well and it came straight to my table. I will be back soon for sure.

The food was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful. I especially enjoyed picking out my own combo of meats, veggies, and drinks. Ordering was super convenient -- everything is done through your phone, which made the process quick and easy I like the decor of the restaurant, it lived up to the hype as it felt I am in Asia while dining.

Never fails. The hotpot base is cheaper than a lot of other places (Liuyishou, Haidilao etc) but the ingredients are on the pricier side. Amenities include: sesame balls, shrimp chips, strawberry and chocolate ice cream to top off an extensive sauce bar! The staff are always super sweet and very accommodating! If coming here be sure to double check the offers for that week-- last week I got two free beers with a valid ID. There's also an upstairs karaoke room that I haven't utilized yet but hotpot plus karaoke sounds like quite the combo.

I've heard about this hot pot restaurant for a long time, and this is my first time trying it. I ordered the Yuan Yang hot pot. The fish maw chicken soup base costs an extra $16 and has a light flavor. The beef oil Chongqing broth was ordered with a mild spice level, which felt just right for someone who can't handle spicy food . The ingredients were all very fresh. They currently have a New Year promotion offering free shaved ice (four flavors of ice cream), which pairs perfectly with the spicy hot pot. Overall, the prices here are on the higher side.

Tried 3 Kingdoms Hot Pot in Mountain View and genuinely had a blast. On a Sunday night, the atmosphere was pleasantly quiet, though the interior still truly made it feel like you were stepping into a spot straight out of China, with two floors to explore. We went with two broths: a rich, creamy white one (probably bone broth), which was just okay, and the classic chicken broth, which honestly stole the show. It had actual chicken pieces simmering in it, giving it a deeper, more flavorful taste. Highly recommend that one. For toppings, we got the seafood platter; everything was fresh. We also added both Angus beef and Wagyu. The cuts were thin, juicy, and cooked fast. Solid portions, too. Hot pot is always fun, but the setup here makes it even better. And to end the night? Soft-serve ice cream from vending machines. It's super helpful, especially if you're brave enough to try their spiciest broth (we weren't this time). If you're looking for a fun, flavorful hot pot spot in Mountain View, this place is 100% worth checking out.

Called on a Friday night and they happened to have a table for 5 available! Overall a very authentic experience - the hot pot flavors and ingredients are exactly what you would get in China (not Americanized at all). They also had a free sauce station which included side dishes! Like chicken feet. This also means the broth is quite spicy, as in "mild" is quite spicy already. We had a great time, and everything was delicious (except the tripe was not very fresh), and we finished the meal with free soft serve ice cream!

Very exciting place to have tandem dinner and karaoke with your friends, whether it be for a celebration or just to hang out. The hotpot was very authentic, and the meats were of great quality. We got the mixed broth, and the spicy broth was very spicy (but great!) They have a very extensive menu, and all of the food was of pretty high quality and very fresh! To book a karaoke room hotpot experience, you can make a reservation while indicating as such, and you may need to pay a deposit to reserve the karaoke rooms. However, the staff was very helpful and the whole process was very seamless and smooth! There's a minimum spend for use of the karaoke room, but with a large enough group, it definitely is a steal considering that you have both hotpot and karaoke at the same time. You can also order Boba from the Teaspoon downstairs directly through their menu, and they'll send it over as well! Perfect pairing for the spicy broth. A great place to visit!

I can agree that this is one of the best hot pot places in Bay Area but I would caution about the level of spice. I think it is great for those who have a high spice because it is was still spicy with mild spicy. The level of spice they put is so flavorful and aromatic but just too spicy for me. But, I do have a low spice tolerance so maybe that's why. But my friends who came here before also agreed that it is spicy and they have a higher spice tolerance than me. I got the Jiogounger house special butter hot pot and chose mild. But perhaps next time I might choose half and half. Their meat was very good. Got their wagyu beef but I specifically liked their lamb shoulder ! It was delicious ! Very flavorful with the spices from the broth. There is a sauce station where you can make your own sauce so you have a lot to choose from. I also liked presentation of the dish and the little butter in shape of a bear or a duck or fish. Pretty cute concept. Service was amazing. The lady who took care of us was very nice and welcoming. She always had a smile even while wearing a mask. Given it was my first time, she explained everything well and gave recommendations on what pairs well with what. I also love how she told me the napkins are in the drawer which is convenient because i hate having to ask the servers for more napkins. Overall I would recommend people to try here! Just prepare for the spiciness!

We came here on a Friday night at ~7 PM and the wait was around 30 minutes. However, there are a variety of other stores in the downtown area that you can check out nearby while waiting. The place has a very nice traditional Chinese vibe with its red decor and it makes you feel like you're in China! Once seated, our server explained how to order from the QR code as well as getting sauces/snacks/utensils. There are variety of broths, meats, and vegetables that you can choose from but the portion sizes here are also very big so make sure to not order too much like we did. We ordered the Jiugongge House Special Butter Broth as well a variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables. The broth came out in nice presentation and had a crafted giant butter that you drop into the broth. Even though we chose the lowest spice level, the broth was still pretty spicy. My friend has a high spice tolerance and he even agreed that it was very spicy. However, the meats, seafood, and vegetables were good and tasted very fresh! They also have free ice cream which definitely helped with our numbing taste buds. Overall, I really enjoyed the food quality and service but would order less food next time and get a different broth.

We came without any waiting lines, it was easy to reserved the table. They grand opening a week, everything taste so fresh. We also love their Mix Special Tripes and their pig brain; they have a local ChongQing spicy pot for you to pick and they do have teaspoon milk tea options, so CONVENIENT!!! And great customer services as well! I would definitely come back again! read more

I had such a great time dining at the place. All the wonderful food selections wet my appetite which I never had since sip started. Fresh food ingredients with indigenous presentation and great service. It's the closest hot pot experience to dining in China. I recommended to several friends who all fell in love to this place. It is a little pricy- the nine box base is around $20 plus the sauce fees. We ordered the lamb, beef, fish, and some tripes/intestines. The beef was very tender but the fish didn't taste fresh. The fish was like $18. Four of us each paid about $70. read more

Best Sichuan/Chongqing style hotpot in the Bay Area. Spicy butter pot base is sooo good. All dishes are very fresh. The snack/dip bar is great. Oh by the way, the raw food look very fresh. My favorite dish is the tripe combo plate. You can't get so many different trips anywhere else! Highly recommend! read more

We had a team dinner (18 people - parents, athletes and coaches) at 3 Kingdoms Hot Pot and everyone had a blast! We were seated in a room with 3 tables. All the rooms had karaoke and are available for booking if you want to host a party. Vegetarians and meat lovers can all be at the same table because the hot pot was divided into 3 sections. We had pork/chicken broth, tomato soup and their spicy house special. The business owners were very friendly and the servers were very efficient, bringing us water, plum juice and constantly topping up our soup base. Their pork/chicken broth was delicious! I also loved their Beef Toro (fatty beef), American Wagyu Beef and Lamb slices! There was a great selection of seafood, meat, vegetables and mushrooms. Basically, there was something for everyone. I even got to eat tripe and some vegetables that cannot be bought in a regular grocery store. To top it all, the Boba Milk Tea shop downstairs, called Teaspoon is owned by the same owner. All the kids had a boba tea after dinner. A nice way to end the day :) read more

Ate there recently and I've got to say, food was good, it wasn't salty, I got mushroom soup base and a bunch of veggies, meat, seafood, and mushrooms (no pun intended) but man, afterwards, I pretty much had to go to the bathroom immediately. I'm sorry but I've got to say that Hai di Lao Hot Pot is still my favorite hot pot place in the Bay. read more

Really legit Chongqing-style hotpot! If you like tripe, they have an excellent selection. The duck blood, shrimp paste and lamb were also really tasty. we didn't get around to ordering the skewers this time, but they looked good and I definitely would want to try them next time (along with the ice jelly!) It's definitely a bit pricey (about $50 per person), but well worth the price given how hard it is to find good authentic hotpot of this style in the area. read more

This place is in the same building as teaspoon so you'd be able to order boba while ordering your hotpot. We beat the rush hour by going in around 5-5:30PM. Seats are spaced out! Staff is brisk but they get you what you need and check in just enough. We ordered a beef and lamb combo, veggie platter, fish balls, and fish tofu. For 2 people, we could have forgone either fish balls or fish tofu because we were really stuffed by the end of our meal. read more

solid hotpot. the "spicy" spicy hotpot is very spicy, so I would suggest mild. maybe stick with the normal menu since we didn't really enjoy their "chewy" skewers of tripe, liver, and chewy meat. There is a mandatory $3/person sauce/appetizer bar. read more

worst restaurant ever. We called before come to the restaurant, because it's kind of far from where our live. Someone pick up the Phone said they will open whole days. But after we arrived . They told us they closed. We told them we just called 30 mins ago. The person told us the kitchen is empty, everyone left already. They will be back 5pm. You may want to visit the restaurant for its spicy food. But there are a few things you'd better know before making the decision. First, their utensils are NOT sanitized, not even dried! You will find the chopsticks, spoons, and bowls in a non-operating sanitizing machine and still have droplets on the surface. Maybe the owner thinks their spice can kill all virus and bacteria? Second, they sort of have an exclusive relationship with the neighboring milk tea shop (which has lower than average quality) and don't allow outside milk tea. If you happen to have a cup of milk tea from another store, the security guy will come in the middle of your meal and dump it. Some high end restaurant will not allow their customers to bring external alcohols, but do you name another restaurant ban milk tea? Third, they also charge 20% more than other Chinese hop pot stores. The price/person easily goes above $50. read more

Really good new hot pot place in downtown Mountain View. The spicy broth is sufficiently spicy. The savory both was pretty tasty. The beef was pretty high quality and the vegetables came in good portion sizes. This place is slightly cheaper than HDL but on par in terms of quality. The service was really good as well, everyone is super friendly. read more

We have been here a few times and it is always good. They have a lot of soup variety and many good options for the hot pot. I wish they had dumplings or something outside of the hot pot when we go with people who might not like full hot pot as much. But they service is excellent. When we went our first time they helped us with the menu. I like that you can get Teaspoon tea right to your table. The decor is really nice. The food is delicious. It works for any age. I highly recommend this place. read more

I miss this place already! I was a member of a party of four that visited on a Saturday evening 3-4 weeks ago. The festive ambiance and friendly servers greeted us and seated us even though we were early for our reservation. Then as we mentioned a bit of concern regarding the pandemic, the manager offered the VIP room option with its guidance and rules. We happily accepted the arrangement. In our room we learned the high tech convenience of ordering from our own cell phones. The servers checked on us regularly; but were not intrusive. The. The servers showed us the "server" button at the table if we needed anything. That's a great feature. The quality of the ingredients we ordered [Angus Beef, Wagyu Beef, vegetables, mushrooms] were superb. What surprises me even more is the generous portions, not to mention that the second, third soup stock refills are all genuine soup stock, not watered down version. I can't wait to come enjoy a meal in your establishment soon! Meanwhile, I will try your takeout this weekend. read more

The servers were friendly and always walking around to offer water, more soup broth, and grill changes. Overall, a great hotpot and KBBQ experience. We'll be back next time!

We politely asked if we could receive a fresh pot of the same broth--not a different broth, just a new pot so we could continue enjoying our meal. Unfortunately, this request was also denied. The broth flavoring was also underwhelming and started to taste the same after our first refill. What made the experience disappointing was the lack of flexibility and willingness to accommodate reasonable requests, especially during a slow service period. Customer service and hospitality are an important part of the dining experience, and we left feeling that our concerns were dismissed rather than addressed.

Worst experience ever! Have to change dining table for 2 times. First time, we were told we can not have the pot kind we want on outdoor table after we finished order. So we had to move to indoor and restart all over to order. We were lead into indoor and about to site and were told again we need to change to another table without any reason. But still we can not have meal there, because we thought we finally sat on the right table and started to order, shockingly we were told we can not order the non-spicy small pot for the kids with the pot we want for the adults. We were trying to figure out if she(the manager Yuki)can help on some better solution. And Yuki rejected all our suggestions and refused to help. What she said "if you don't care about your kids then I can't help on that" made all of us quitted the conversation and left. But not even we left the room, Yuki started to speak ill of us to other customers in front of us. Can you imagine that? At least I can't see I could go through in my real life in US! We asked another waiter about her title and name, and were told Yuki is very trusted by the owner. The owner makes a mandatory $2 charge for everyone 3+ for the hot pot sauce not matter you need or not. We are super disappointed for Yuki and for the owner chose this rude and unprofessional manager. So I highly and seriously recommend you, don't go there. They don't care about you, and their attitude is if you want to eat here, shut up or get out. No customer deserves this worst service! read more

Located in Downtonw MV, there is a public parking nearby. I called ahead to make a reservation and it was a smart move because they only had a certain number of spots available for the "4 soup base style". The décor is traditional Chinese, which is very pretty and elegant. Our server was very nice and she showed us how to order from the iPad. We chose the mushroom, Pork Bone, Peppered Spicy and Oil Soup broth. We also ordered the Seafood Combo, Kobe Beef, and shrimps. We also had veggies platters as well. The "小酥肉" deep fried pork is so good. My daughter finished all the plate. All the meats are very fresh. The desert made from sicky rice is very delicious. There is a sauce bar (free of charge). They have a lot of differences sauces and snacks you can bring back to the table. I ended up just using the Chili oil sauce since that is my favorite. The food was delicious. I love the idea of hot pot cooking and thoroughly enjoyed the Tom Yum broth. I did try the other 3, but Tom Yum was my favorite. The best meat plate in my opinion is the Beef with 70% fat. It cooked fast and had loads of flavor. Throughout the entire experience, the servers constantly checked in on us, filling both our glasses of water and the soup with more broth. Overall, this place was amazing. The customer service, the food and everything was amazing. Oh, and the bathrooms are very clean. I had the pleasure of dining at 3 Kingdoms Hot Pot and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The soup options were extensive and the ingredients were all fresh and of high quality. I was able to customize my hot pot to my liking (we chose the 3 pot option) and the flavors were truly amazing, we had the tomato, szechuan, and the chicken bone broth. The dipping sauces were also a standout and added a delicious kick to each bite. I personally love my sesame sauce with garlic and lots of green onion. The service was top-notch, and the staff were always checking in to make sure our experience was nothing short of exceptional. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu offerings.
