I literally have mixed feelings about this restaurant. *Pros: friendly staff, food was hot and fresh, didn't take much time to recieve order *Cons: sketchy location, not the cleanest of establishments, fried fish had no seasoning literally used hot sauce and tartar sauce for flavor, overpriced for frozen/store bought hush puppies, prices don't reflect quality of food Overall I wasn't impressed. Although my food looked appealing it lacked MAJOR flavor; which made me feel like the $11 spent wasn't worth it. Doubt I would return

I ordered the Catfish Nuggets Basket w/Fries and they were delicious! They weren't cooked to death. I'm fact I put them in the oven for just a few minutes and they were just right. The flavor was really good. The fries were also perfect, crispy on the outside and soft inside. I had so much catfish left that there was enough for today, but they were mysteriously gone when I decided to have lunch. Lol! I'll definitely try those again. I also noticed on a white board that's they now have salmon nuggets. I'll most certainly go back to try those. I would've gotten them had I seen the sign initially.

Very disappointed in my $15.95 shrimp and flounder basket. Showed the lady my proportion of food and she said the flounder is weighed. No problem I won't be back. ‍

Great place to stop in for lunch. Fried seafood is basically the entire menu. Portion sizes of food are very filling. You definitely won't leave here hungry

Delish fried whiting, sampling of fresh collard greens and a hush puppy.

Just got into town and was hankering for seafood. Our go to spot was closed for another hour and I couldn't wait that long. A friend recommended 42 Fry so we went there instead. It was a very clean establishment, and we were greeted as soon as we entered. Okay, off to a great start! They had a varied menu - all types of seafood prepared many ways. We opted for a whiting dinner since it came with 5 pieces of fish, hush puppies, a side and a drink. We picked greens as our side btw. The wait was minimal, and all the food came out piping hot. First bite of greens was excellent; tender, seasoned well and best of all not from the can. Next up Cole slaw. Now the slaw was slightly sweet, again nicely seasoned. The only thing about it is that there wasn't enough. The very very small container was something like what you have in the grocery store. Just enough to make me annoyed for not ordering an extra side. The hush puppies were crispy on the outside, and so delicious on the inside. I loved the fish!!! Fried to perfection, good portion and enough for me and hubby to enjoy what I considered a cheap eat about $14. Sorry my pic isn't the best...I told you I was hungry...

Let me start by saying the fish was amazing! I got the catfish and shrimp combo with fries. The fish and shrimp both had the perfect amount of breading and had great flavor. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars is due to the amount of shrimp that was given with the combo. The amount of fish was perfect but you can see the small amount of shrimp that was given in the pictures. I would also say the tarter sauce was a little sweet for my taste but all in all this place is a spot not to pass up. The seating inside is limited with approximately 6 or so 4 top tables.

They don't answer the phone for To-Go orders, they provide a menu online and tell you to order and yet there isn't the capability and the worse part, if you do show up, social distancing isn't in place. After being so annoyed, I took my business elsewhere which aggravated more because I wanted to support the black owned business and even more so on this day but as usual epic fail! Can't ever blame the community for trying.

These guys do a great job with fried fish. Never greasy and always fresh. I would go as far as to say in terms of fried fish they are the best in town. It's not a very large place so at times there can be a line.

This is my 2nd lunch visit and I found that I can get my fish & shrimp grilled .... YES!!!! ..... The catfish & shrimp are seasoned & fried done, not hard like _____ Absolutely delicious! I love the spiciness of the sauce and the roasted corn was quite tasty.

First time eating here.... Taste wise it's good, but was drowned in sauce. Would prefer the option of lettuce and tomatoes. There is a wait but my food was freshly fried and hot!

My whip cream. But yea patti pie.

As we walked we noticed a table off of the bar that had 3 people and was a table for 8 we asked if we could sit with them they said fine. We let the host know he said I cannot give you a food menus... no explanation just that he couldn't or wouldn't. At this point we were turned off and thought about just leaving. A bar tender came over and handed us food menus pretty much as we sat down and asked if she could get us something to drink. We ordered drinks figuring we could see how things went and decide on staying or leaving. She was super quick and as we were looking through the menu we really wanted to eat here so we decided to just order. The food was so good the bar tender was very attentive and the food came quickly. The atmosphere inside was a standard sports bar with a seated room area next to the bar room area. The bar had a Malort face wall which iykyk and several tvs playing different sports. I cannot say enough on how good the food was the poutine, the burgers, the Mac and cheese all delicious! Disappointed with the interaction we had at the front some explanation of just a little curtesy does go a log way because we literally were just about to leave.

In Greensboro, a city whose downtown once had a "hamburger square" of burger joints and related…read moreentertainment, it seems appropriate, whenever possible, to try a cheeseburger. Most have been underwhelming, or inconsistent at best. Stumble Stilskins isn't bad. The burger is the smash burger style -- not always ideal, but pretty good when done nicely, as it is here. "Crispy on the edges" it specifies in the menu, and that is accurate. The meat is also well-seasoned and not dry. Excellent! The cheese is the proper yellow American. The fries, while not hand-cut (which is fine, in this case), have been fried nicely, in fresh tasting oil, and seasoned generously. So much attention to seasoning is really appreciated. The fatal flaw of the burger is that it is apparently served on a "brioche bun." The bun is large, agonizingly dense, and weirdly sweet. In particular, when it's doing battle with the slim carefully structured and seasoned smash burger patties, the heaviness and sweetness are extremely oppressively overpowering. Now, you may say, why didn't I just not eat the bun (which would've been good for the flavor, texture, and my caloric intake)? Well, if you are, as I apparently am, genetically 2/3 sheepdog, you have no choice but to rapidly eat everything in front of you. The atmosphere isn't bad. There's not much to it -- classic bar, but neat and tidy, with TVs and little tables here and there. Not really any nooks and crannies, even in the dimmer half of the restaurant. It would probably be even better if you were drunk. The bathroom was notably clean -- though I can't imagine how chaotic it gets when the place is crowded, since it's a single-occupancy. If you're seated at one of the high top tables, be prepared to be uncomfortably close to the mustachioed open mouth of what I think is Danny McBride.

On a Saturday afternoon, I was in Greensboro and in the mood for some good pretzels and a draft beer, and this hit the spot. Old Town Draught House has a very old bar ambience, without feeling worn out and dated. I love the old dark wood throughout the building. They have a pretty broad draft beer menu, along with normal bar offerings. I was happy to see multiple sour beers on the list, because that's exactly what I was in the mood for. There's no table service, and it is seat yourself, but the bartenders were very attentive, and it was never difficult to place an order at the bar. We ordered a few beers and decided to get deviled eggs and the pretzels as appetizers to share. Food came out very quickly. The pretzels were pretty good, but I've had better elsewhere. Rather than being crispy, they were soft and a bit soggy, but the flavor was great. The beer cheese was on point, although I would've preferred a spicy brown mustard over yellow mustard. The deviled eggs were a bit of a letdown, because it was just a hard-boiled egg cut in half with a little bit of sweet chili peppers and dressing that tasted like 1000 Island on top. When I think of deviled eggs, I anticipate the egg yolks being removed, mixed with a few ingredients, and piped back in. For what was basically two eggs cut in half, the six-dollar price tag was steep. Overall, we had a great experience, although I would likely choose different food options next time. The bar staff were great, the beer offerings nice, and the ambience was a good vibe.

I ordered onion rings (as a side) and the Bacon Jam burger as it came with the "cordon Bleu" fries. The onion rings stole the show. So good. The fries were not my jam. Low quality cheese sauce with lunch meat ham that was diced. My fault, I should have subbed regular fries as I don't like stuff on my fries. I was expecting it to be a seasoning. My mistake. The burger was good not great. I got the 12 oz size and learned it is 2 fat 6 oz. patties stacked. Makes it VERY tall. The description of this burger is shown in one of my photos.
