I primarily enjoy their coffee drinks (milk alternatives available) & coffee cake. There are some prepared sandwiches and cookies. Vegetarian selections are a big plus for me. The main person is pleasant; he comes by to say, "Hi!". This cafe is a couple minutes walk from Sacramento City College & William Land park. This small cafe is casual and unpretentious with mismatch seatings that lends to a relax environment. I love that this place is dog friendly. There are a few outdoor bistro tables. However, parking space and parking time is limited. When I am in this area, yes I will come again. read more

This is my second time visiting 5 Sips Coffee, and once again I am absolutely blown away by the customer service. I interacted with Michael and Daniel on both visits, and they have a way of making you feel right at home immediately. They are wisecracks and I love it. Along with the excellent customer service 5 Sips has delicious food (I'm looking at you, Curry Burrito) and, most importantly, great coffee. When I run out of beans I know where I'm gonna head to. I meant to make this review upon my first visit, but the second one was a nice reminder that this is a business I will be visiting much more frequently. P.S. This is a wonderful coffee house. Great ambiance, very welcoming, not just to people but dogs too. The new menu is yummy. The avocado toast is the best I've had in Sac, as well as the lox and bagel. The Samosas are accompanied by a yummy Mango chutney. The Owner wants to make sure you enjoy the food/beverage. He really cares and it shows throughout the shop. Celebrating glorious Sacramento Spring weather, we went yesterday for the first time to this wonderful neighborhood place! The lattes were fantastic!! The quiche was delicious! The chocolate pastry was excellent! (Late-day half-price pastry--such a deal!) The barista was helpful as we asked a few questions--and she made great soy lattes and chai lattes. Both inside and outside dining are available. Stop here if you want a comfortable place to sip and relax, or a takeaway drink/snack to accompany a lovely neighborhood , Sac City College, or Land Park stroll. I use 5 Sips as a destination spot for my walks. I always enjoy the French Roast, and my wife and a walking friend enjoy the House (which I discovered today was Italian roast). There several tables outside and spaced appropriate distance apart. Now that we can sit inside, every other table is available. The pastries also taste great although I'm trying to reduce my waist size so I rarely partake. read more

A land park gem serving delicious goodies and excellent coffee drinks. Sausage breakfast burritos and bagels are a favorite as are the blended caramel and mocha drinks. Even our dog loves the place because they have a little treat waiting for him. Great owner and staff respecting COVID-19 protocols and they have great outdoor spaced seating (along with a park across the street). You should check it out. Pound-for-pound, 5 Sips handily edges out the local competition around Freeport; no small feat. First, 5 Sips's coffee is excellent. I prefer mochas, they use proper chocolate (already better than Starbucks or Pete's), and serve it at the proper temperature without burning or otherwise ruining it. Also, the coffee beans they use always taste fresh and the quality is obvious from the flavor. There is also a substantial selection of food which is prepared by the staff same-day. I haven't tried much, but I can definitely recommend the bacon breakfast sandwich or the blueberry scones. The prices are exactly what you would expect from any other coffee place, maybe a little less. Nothing to write home about, but considering the difference in quality, I'd say it's a net positive. Where 5 Sips really shines, however, is in costumer service. By the 2nd or 3rd time I walked through the front door, I was recognized and welcomed by the owner (yes, even with the mask on). The staff are patient, unfailingly polite, and even charming. Giving my order always feels like a collaboration, no rush. And even when my order is quick and easy, the conversation never lulls for long. It's clear that repeat, satisfied customers are a priority. This place opened just after the quarantine began and yet it feels like a neighborhood fixture. There is a constant trickle of locals (and their dogs) lounging out front or at the park across the street. The atmosphere is sincerely boutique without the pretension and "hipster-ness" of other similar coffee places, it has all the character you could want without you even realizing it. If you live in the Land Park area, I just found your new coffee spot. read more

I've never had hot apple cider before but now that i've tried it from there i'll never not order it! They were out of the soda water to make my husband an Italian soda and helped us find an alternative that was even better (Mtn dew with strawberry- it was surprisingly good!) This place gets 5 stars for service alone. Stopped here on Christmas Day and honestly after our visit, I'm sad we haven't gone before. I got a vanilla latte with oat milk. Yes, oat milk! I have a special place in my heart for places that have oat milk as an option. It came out piping hot! Which I loved since places never make drinks hot enough for me even when I ask. I also got a plain bagel and my husband got a black coffee and pastry, and all were great. We both got 16 oz drinks and two pastries and it was barely $14 for it all.
