I really like 602 coffee but I didn't realize that they closed so early in the day... on one occasion, I walked in and they said they were already closing. It was around 3 PM. There was only one guy working there and he said he couldn't make me Food because he was the only one working there. The service was so quick and it is a very cute breakfast spot. I definitely recommend to everyone. Great coffee shop that's a little hidden. The parking lot is shared. I didn't get to try the food but I'm really just here for the coffee. The inside is fairly small but a great place to work. I ordered the seasonal peppermint mocha with less chocolate. It's solid, better than Starbucks. The peppermint shines through and pairs nicely with the espresso. My friend got the coconut caramel latte and it is definitely our favorite drink by far compared to other coffee joints. They have a good amount of specialty coffee flavors which is what I looked for when I go out for coffee. Ordered a matcha latte and an everything bagel with cream cheese. The matcha latte was unsweetened and did not have a bitter taste to it, but at the same time did not have a strong matcha taste to it either. It tasted more milky if anything. The everything bagel was good. It was flavorful and the cream cheese wasn't too thick and more of a whipped style. The bagel is on the thin side and not as robust and as a typical bagel, but the overall texture was chewy and soft. The venue was nice, but parking can be a bit tight since it's on a semi busy street. Service is really good as well. Overall, not a bad place to go for coffee and bagels. read more

Usually, I would not care to write review about service however I came in this morning and a worker by the name of Lace seemed very overwhelmed and was very rude. When I walked in she did not say anything to me, until I said hi. I then stated that I was short on time, and if she could help me, thinking that would kill to birds with one stone. She then became very argumentative and started causing a scene in front of her customers. I stated that I would not be having that discussion with her, but I would contact the manager, to which she advised that she was the manager. If this is the way that business is conducted then I will not be coming back. That being said, I have had many other wonderful encounters with the workers here. Update: Danny, the owner was absolutely wonderful to speak to and was very understanding about the entire situation. Inside is nice and has my favorite colors: black and white. The menu has a wide selection of coffee and açaí bowls. Staff is helpful on answering questions or concerns. Similar to Starbucks but Starbucks have no açaí bowls at least from what I remember. I order the large caramel macchiato to see how it is to Starbucks. A large coffee is either equal or smaller than a Starbucks grande. So that's a huge minus there. But the coffee itself is good and it not too sweet. Come here if you're planning to walk. Driving directions off iPhone are all wonky and kept telling me to u-turn over and over. Locals seem to know this place, but for someone trying to find parking and pressed for time, it's a pain. Got the invitation for a Yelp event and came in before work on a Saturday morning. Staff had no clue what it was. Both baristas and an older woman who was standing behind the counter (owner?) feigned not knowing what it was. Would've given 1 star but for the decent chai latte I had. There's no stopper to keep it warm though. I ordered it with almond and the barista made it with oat milk by accident. I said it was cool but he made the correct one and handed me both. Almond milk taste is superior in my opinion to the oat flavored chai latte I sampled at the office. Hands down my FAVORITE NEW COFFEE PLACE. I'm so stoked to have found this! It's not in the Outback Steakhouse lot - keep going down that little side street. Please have some self respect and stop drinking disgusting cold brew from ... you know where and try 602. They have delicious flavors like banana foster but also added health benefit ones like mushroom. I got the mushroom and im blown away at how good it tastes. The staff is super sweet and accommodating. I was here on a Monday before 8am and whoever helped me was fantastic, so thank you! First of all -- Loved Jacob and Brianna -- their super attentive and friendly service won me the moment I walked in. I came in at the right time because it was around 3PM and after going to the gym early this morning, I was starting to hit my wall. They let me try 3 different cold brews that weren't on the menu -- it was a toss up between the Banana Foster or Mushroom cold brew, but with my current mental state in mind, I knew would have the most benefits from the one with lions mane in it. They are most well known for their coffees and acai bowls, and my personal favorite is their bananas foster coffee which I have been getting years. To start, the location is absolutely amazing in that it's right on PCH where you'll have a beach view, or can walk across the street over to the pier. They have limited parking, but it's pretty easy to find parking on the neighboring streets. On the weekends, the line does get pretty long! However it moves quickly. My pick was the ice matcha latte with oat milk, which was served both creamy and earthy. Yum! They have a number of seats inside and outside of the coffee shop to catch up with a friend or do some work. Very lovely and enjoyable spot for coffee located in Costa Mesa, I got to try the Nutella Mocha even though they recommended me the Coconut one as a popular item, but I have had enough coconut drinks the last few days, plus I saw a big jar of Nutella in the back shelf, must have been something special, so I went with it and it's so good, I had to take a spoon and ate up everything inside and down at the bottom as well. Parking here wasn't too bad, they had like 4 spots on site, otherwise there are tons of street parking, each lasts you for 4 hours, so you can sit back relax enjoy coffee or acai without worrying. This place is like a hidden treasure!! I tried their Nutella Mocha, it was delicious!!! You probably won't notice this place even existed unless you found it on Yelp. It's not easy to get to, you might have to make a U turn if you missed the turn going up Newport Blvd, but they actually made a little sign right in-front of the Outback Steakhouse on the 17th St to guide you to their shop. Their inside is nice and clean, love their simple black and white design, very welcoming feel. It's nice and quite which is good because you can sit down and work on your laptop without all the traffic noise unlike Starbucks a few blocks down. The people works here are friendly, I asked the girl why the name 602. She told me it's the address number from their HB location. Interesting! Didn't know they have another location. Food is fantastic, best Açaí bowls. The service may be even better. I stopped by here on my way to work in a hurry. I placed 2 online orders before pickup as I was in a pinch for time. When I came to pick up, only one of the orders was ready. Come to find out my 2nd order was accidentally placed at the other location in HB. I was in a time crunch so picking up 20 mins away was not an option. without hesitation the staff here offered to make my order at this location, I didn't even have to ask.
