We go to 7 Mile regularly and the food is always excellent. They have a pizza oven and the pies are so good. They have a number of wing sauces and the wings are good size. Considering this restaurant was located in the Sheraton and is more geared to tourists who may not have many options in terms of convenience, it serves its purpose of providing a close-by place to eat. Our party tried the Shrimp pasta, Alfredo pasta and the mushroom pizza. The first two dishes were very bland- as in maybe they forgot the salt bland. The shrimp I will say though was nicely cooked (still had that pop texture when you bite into it- and fresh). They may have just had an off night with the salt and so will need to give it another try. But initial impression is okay and a convenient option if after a long day at legoland or staying at the Sheraton. The service was friendly and so we appreciated that! read more

Sadly not a good place, I ordered the chicken wings and they were tasteless, poorly prepared and the ham and pineapple pizza which is not on the menu, they took the big chunks of pineapple out of a can and put it on pizza. The service was okay but the pizza looked and tasted like it was either brought in or it was frozen it had no real flavour. The nachos we had a weird mayo on it and it didn't sit well with my party. The ambience was okay but, only okay for a Marriott property it felt poor. read more

This place was convenient for our first night staying on property, and it was pretty and open inside with an option to sit outside. We were the only patrons inside, plus another table that was getting ready to leave and we still had a hard time keeping our small water glasses full...the host who was the one taking care of us instead of our server finally just left the bottle of water at our table. The calamari with "shrimp" was okay and underneath that pile was full of fried olives. The meatballs tasted great. My mother-in-law wasn't a fan of the belly of the salmon so picked at the pasta around it. My husband enjoyed his pizza though, that dish was the best tasting at the table. My bolognese seemed like mostly tomato sauce and it didn't even taste that great. My daughter got the kids spaghetti, again like canned tomato sauce on some spaghetti. My son got their chicken tenders and they were hard, stringy and dry...he barely touched it. We spent a little over $180 here PLUS tip for three adults, a 7 and 4 year old. Wish we weren't so tired and tried somewhere else to make our money go further. Definitely American fanfare food to pass off as Italian, first and last time here. read more

Big fan of this place. It's secretly and oddly delicious for being attached to a hotel. We come here often and I've never had a bad meal. My favorites include the top tier gourmet pizzas, pappardelle bolognese, smoked chicken wings and the OG burger. So damn delicious. It's nice that most of the restaurant is on the patio with a patio bar so that you can enjoy the ocean breeze at sunset while catching the seasonal sporting events. Highly recommend! They changed the menu and completely cut out the pastas. That was disappointing, so we ordered an appetizer of calamari and that was tasteless and chewy. My husband had the salmon burger and said it was just ok and I had the artichoke pizza which was super wet and floppy in the middle and very little flavor. Truly disappointing and so expensive. In a time where mediocrity and less than average service is the norm, the 7 Mile Kitchen shines as a STAR It is not just because of the food - which is excellent. Or the warm surroundings which houses the 7 Mile Kitchen. But, it is the genuine care and customer connections that Robert, Michael, Jose, and Henry have made with me in my 3 visits now to the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort Spa. Go out of your way to visit this place and you will not be disappointed. Sheraton management should take note of this team and learn from there work ethic, customer care / connection, and innovation. Supply shortages almost prevented me from having my favorite item Lox Bagle - but Robert made me a chef adapation with Arugula, Salmon, Avacado - on Toast that was better!!! read more

Poolside patio dining with great views and delicious food! The menu isn't expansive but when all the dishes are done well, that certainly doesn't matter.
