A second review in two years -- and still a solid favorite. This has been my neighborhood Chinese-Hawaiian go-to for about four years now, and they never disappoint. I usually stop by every other month, and on this first rainy, cold day of fall, with nothing in the fridge and zero desire to cook or dine out... it was definitely take-out time. I ordered honey walnut shrimp, crab rangoons, and wonton soup. (They offer a little incentive if you post a photo -- let's see if I get it! ) When I picked up the food, the owner recognized me right away. He's always friendly, and everything was packed perfectly: utensils, condiments, and plenty of napkins. He even told me about their homemade chili sauce, which is so popular they sell it by the jar. I eat mild spice, but my daughter eats straight fire -- she tried the sample and immediately approved. Back home, eating our food in front of the fireplace while watching our favorite show... it made for the perfect cozy evening. And the best part? The kitchen stayed clean. Highly recommend this spot -- it's consistently good and always reliable.

808 Cafe gives you a real welcome the moment you walk in. The man who greeted me, who seemed to be the owner, set the tone right away. His hospitality stood out. He explained that my pork and shrimp dumplings would take about 20 minutes because they are made fresh. I appreciated the clarity. I watched him greet another guest who looked like a regular. The way he cared for her showed how he treats people who walk in. His interactions felt genuine and warm. The menu impressed me. You get many options, which matters if you like variety. My experience here felt inviting before my food even arrived. I look forward to coming back.

Found this place on Yelp and so glad that we did!! My family and I visited 808 on a Saturday evening (around 4:30/5) to grab an early dinner. We were welcomed and sat immediately. The staff and especially the owner were very hospitable and helpful in ordering and just with everything. We ordered way too many dishes and the plates were huge, but we love leftovers so it was fine haha. We got the mochicko chicken, garlic miso chicken, loco moco, green beans, and siu mai (please note this takes about 20min so you'll get after your mains come out). Everything is made in house and to order and it was all so good. The gravy on the loco moco was probably the best we've had in Vegas (highly recommend). The siu mai was delicious and the filling was FILLED. Their house made chili sauce was SO GOOD. If you can handle spice (even though it wasn't super spicy), definitely try this!! The interior is simple, but mindfully decorated. Very clean. We will definitely be back!!

This is a Chinese/Hawaiian restaurant. The owner is Chinese from Hawaii. There's a lot of selection from their menu. We opted for Tofu and shrimp today for lunch. The flavor is right and not salty and the shrimp tasted fresh and they didn't over cook the broccoli. A lot of tables. This restaurant is situated next to a Mexican grocery store. I hope this restaurant succeeds as they are nice people and they have good food.

WOW!!! This place is insanely good! Just did a random search on yelp and found it. We ordered the soy garlic shrimp and the seafood laksa, which is better than my 2 favorite spots to get laksa in LA, the flavor was so deep and it was so hearty! The garlic shrimp was perfectly crisp, also insanely flavorful, and you can eat the entire thing! New must go to place for me now when in Vegas. Very friendly waiter too!

I was at an appointment and wanted to pick up some takeout; so went on Yelp to see what was in the area. I decided on 808 Cafe. A nice man greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. I asked to see a menu and he asked if I was ordering takeout. When I said yes, he said to have a seat and motioned to a chair near the counter and gave me a menu and said to let him know if I had any questions- super nice. The menu has a mixture of Hawaiian, Chinese, and Japanese items. I decided on the Dumplings in Red Oil, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, and a Thai Tea. Last minute I got a side of the Macaroni Salad because several Yelpers said how good it was. He asked if I wanted Jelly in the Thai Tea so I said sure, why not. The restaurant is very clean and inviting with nice, simple decor. I went around 3pm on. Wednesday and it wasn't busy, just one other table but looked like other takeout orders. He brought my drink out as I waited. The Thai Tea with Coffee Jelly was delicious, exactly what I wanted. My order was ready timely and he asked if I wanted Chili Oil, which I did and he informed me utensils and napkins were in the bag. The food was amazing. I absolutely loved the Dumplings in Red Oil, it has so much flavor. Just looking at them made my mouth water. The fried rice was delicious, again great flavor. The Mac Salad was great. I definitely will be back to try some Entrees and/or other items. Located on the corner of Buffalo and Flamingo, in the Smith's Shopping Center with lots of parking.

The food was fresh out the kitchen! Nice and steamy and FLAVORFUL. The service was amazing. Always refilled water. Wait wasn't bad at all! The music they played was classics so it was pleasant. I like their posters about food is cooked with love and it DEFINITELY SHOWS. They even pack the food for you when you're done to go. AMAZING service. This restaurant has been around for quite some time and its a shame that the place is not busy. We enjoyed everything we ordered : Thai iced tea with coffee jelly - not the usual powdered drink. They use freshly brewed tea Lemon with honey - so refreshing and not too sweet Dumpling in red oil - must try (with their housemade chili oil) Salt & pepper wings - my fave appetizer Honey garlic porkchop - sweet & salty Soy sauce garlic shrimp - glad we ordered this. With head and shell but crunchy so everything can be eaten Hong Kong Style Pan Fried Noodle with bbq pork - a classic dish done well Golden garlic chicken fried rice - reminds hubby of his childhood They don't use MSG on their dishes Can't wait to try the other dishes

Delicious food! We ordered take out from the place and is was quick service. Our favorite was the eggplant tofu. The sauce it comes in can be slathered on rice and eaten as is. The other dishes - stir fry veggies and the fried noodles were good as well! Standard and good if you're craving it!

I love this place so much. It's a small family ran business that serves Hawaiian fusion. I've been here multiple times and each time the owner has been so friendly. I want to try everything here. The restaurant is very clean. That being said, I came here with my brother a month ago and tried the mochiko chicken. It was so juicy and the potion is generous. Everything is made to order. I also came with my vegan friends and they were very accommodating. I had the salt and pepper tofu and it's was genuinely on of the best tofus I've had. So crispy. Definitely try this spot. FANTASTIC! Saw a post on FB about how good the salt & pepper fish filets were here so of course I jumped on Yelp to check them out. Turns out I had it bookmarked but forgot about it. Ordered chicken fried rice (5/5), beef chow fun (5/5), shu mai (10/5), the s&p fish filets (5/5) and the loco moco for takeout. Phone ordering was smooth and the gentleman taking the order was very nice and efficient. Husband got to the location earlier than he thought so the food wasn't ready yet, for which the server apologized for, but not necessary as husband was early. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. The loco moco would be a skip for me next time, as the gravy had a different taste than I'm used to, but the husband said he'll get it again as he really liked it. The s&p fish filets were damn good. A tad greasy when reheated, but then, it is a fried dish (duhhhh). The shocker/pleasant surprise was the shu mai. I'm guessing they're homemade, as I've never had such tasty shu mai, not even at a dim sum place. Will definitely be getting more of these babies. Perfectly seasoned, plump bundles of porky-shrimpy goodness. The fried rice and chow fun were spot on. Generous with the protein and the beef in the beef chow fun had the perfect texture. No gristle, not chewy, just tasty bites of tender beef. I think we finally found our favorite Chinese spot. The portions are very generous (it took us 4 meals to finish all the food) and they don't use styrofoam takeout containers. And they also included a container of rice.

They do everything so well here. This place is our go to restaurant for chinese/vietnamese/southeast Asian dishes.

Best Kung Pao Chicken I've ever had. Comes also with onions, red and green bell peppers and peanuts. The flavoring is amazing and I have had my fair share of different kung pao chicken dishes for past 3 decades. The white rice that comes with is surprisingly good. Other restaurants, the rice is hard and dry. read more

Just opened for 5 months, 808 Cafe offers a wide variety of Asian dishes from Korean, Japanese, to Vietnamese & Chinese, even Hawaiian. Today, we ordered Chow Fun dry style with beef & Singapore style rice noodle. The chow fun has very generous portions of tender sliced beef and crisp bean sprouts. We also asked for extra curry and more spicy in our Singapore style rice noodle and both did not disappoint! Even my mom loves it! Before I ordered, I also confirmed that they do not add msg or sugar to their dishes. Yea!! read more

Went here for a late bite. I ordered the Hawaiian beef stew and it did not disappoint! Owner is also from hawaii. He was very friendly and also offered water while I wait for me order. Portions are also good so I got full half way through. You need to check them out. Going to try other items in the future. read more

This restaurant is clean & the food is just like back home in Hawaii. In fact it is such a small world! They are originally from my home town Palolo Valley! I had the salt pepper shrimp with the head on, crab Rangoon, pot stickers, loco moco, yang chow fried rice, Singapore noodle, Mongolian beef, oyster sauce choy sum and combo pan fried noodle. I didn't have all of those dishes all at once, I'm a frequent diner there. I'm so lucky that I live down the street. The food is ono( delicious in Hawaiian) and the sizes are huge! The family run business is done right! I wish them many successes! read more

Very good Chinese food. Havent tried the Hawaiian options, but their Black bean fish filet is amazing. I havent tried anything else bc its so good. This spot is also open late which is a huge plus. Service is friendly and you can tell they really appreciate their customers. read more

Gotten takeout here about 4 different occasions now with the wife since they opened not too long ago. The Chinese food options offered here are very slept on, often better in taste and quality (some of the best chow fun and salt & pepper fish/squid/chicken wings I've had in a while) than many actual generic Chinese takeout places. They have most of the Hawaiian spot staples (chicken katsu, loco moco, Portuguese sausage/spam and eggs, mac salad etc), very generous portions (coming from a 6'2" 230 lb guy who always has to consider portion and value), and late hours to accommodate those who skipped dinner plans and need something quick and yummy to feed the family. read more

We were looking for somewhere to eat at 10 PM and saw that this place is open until midnight. Not only was the service great, but the food was delicious! We for the salt and pepper tofu, golden chicken fried rice, and the mochiko chicken. The portions were so generous that even my husband had leftovers. I'm so glad we found this place! I got the salt and pepper tofu, dumplings in chili sauce and spam musubi. The flavors were phenomenal! Salt and pepper tofu seasons might be the best I've had. Tofu was a little over cooked. Dumplings were so delicious! Service was fast and very nice! I highly recommend this place! read more

This is a cute little place with amazing food. I got the honey walnut shrimp and my boyfriend got the loco moco. Both dishes were huge (enough for 2) and made fresh. The owner was the one who helped us and he was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. They gave us stamp cards so the 11th entree is free. We will definitely be back! read more

This place was new to us and wanted to try. The noodles was great but the hamburger steak wasn't homemade. It looked like patties from Costco or Sam's but the portions and the salad was delicious. We will definitely go back and try other dishes. read more

Everything we ordered was so good ! The won ton soup was light, lots of flavor and delicious ! I ordered the Singapore noodles and chili oil dumplings.. very tasty. We also had the spam and eggs and portuguese sausage and eggs- both came with mounds of rice. I do not recommend! The egg rolls are gross! The food here is not what I expected! The owner is really rude and disrespectful! He wasn't professional at all! He was watching me eat Chicken smh me I had no ideas I was being watch with my back turned! Once I finished my portion I was approached by the owner! He complaining over my use of napkins! He asked Do I treat my home like this I used too many napkins and he told me to leave! I offered to drop him off from the 99 He begins to grabbed my chair and asked me to go! This is a cosy restaurant that is mostly Chinese Food with Hawaii favorites like Crispy Gau Gee & Mac Salad. They have menu items like Loco Moco & spam musubi. The owners are very nice & the Restaurant is very clean. Service is prompt & the food is Delicious!!!! The entrees are huge! This is my second time I have come in during the month of April. I am so stoked that they opened up in my neighborhood. No doubt this is going to be my favorite Restaurant. The first time my roommate & I came here we ordered Crab Rangoon, Crispy Gau Gee( they called it wonton on the menu), Salt & Pepper Shrimp & Chinese Sausage Fried Rice. Second time we ordered Teriyaki chicken plate, it came with a scoop of Mac Salad, rice & steamed broccoli, Kal Bi again with the extras, Salt pepper shrimp, Crab Rangoon, Shumai, Choy Sum with oyster sauce. The shu mai is made in house & they are big & so delicious! Crab Rangoon is properly made with a slight taste of curry, I have been looking for crispy Gau Gee & I'm so happy to have found a place that makes it like home( Hawaii) & their Salt & Pepper Shrimp is so crispy & the perfect spice of hot & salt. The crunch of the shell is so good! They give you so much prawns for the price! The Kal Bi is tasty too. The teriyaki Chicken is a big portion of chicken ( I didn't have any, it was a personal size for a friend). She did say it was very good. I hope that this place is successful. First of all, usually places charge these prices or more for shrimp dishes while giving only 3-5 pieces. The shrimp fried rice came with a heaping serving of shrimp. The kung pao chicken is so good with a kick so if you're sensitive beware, i loved it though! Sriracha would kick it up a bit if you need it. Super flavorful spam musubi's and many options to choose from on the menu. I did have late take out my first time but the atmosphere was super cute, located at the lowkey end of the plaza. I'm sure traffic picks up throughout the day without a doubt! read more

Small business where owners obviously care to deliver a quality experience. Great interior, but, most importantly, great food. Orange chicken was soft: no dry, tough pieces. My wife's walnut shrimp was a first for me and I am now hooked. The breading crust was crunchy like the nuts; just how it should be! Waiter boxed our leftovers himself. Thanks! read more

It's located in a small strip mall on W Warm Springs Road, about 8 miles southwest from the W Hotel where I was staying. The décor is simple, with about six tables inside and tables outside for al fresco dining. You go there for the food, not the décor. They offer a tasting menu for two for $190, that is amazing. What's more amazing is the deluxe version for $370. As a solo diner on this occasion, I couldn't avail myself of either so I made my own, three Shigoku oysters ($12), three Oyster / Uni / Foie Gras ($30), U3 Prawn with truffle butter ($40), Truffle Bone Marrow Filet with Foie Gras ($76), two glasses of wine ($14 and $16), and Illy coffee to finish ($4). The three Shigoku oysters were great; the ones with uni and foie gras were sublime! I had a glass of 2024 Touraine Sauvignon Blanc with the oysters. The Truffle Prawn was out of this world! The large prawn was split and grilled with truffle butter. The meat was perfect, and I scooped all of the goodness from the shells and savored each bit. I wanted another order! The Truffle Bone Marrow included two bone halves, topped with sliced medium rare filet and seared foie gras. I can never have too much foie gras! The marrow was so unctuous and combined with the filet and a slice of foie gras, I was in food heaven! It's so decadent and insanely good. I had a glass of District 7 Pinot Noir with the meat. Alas, no room for dessert. If I did, I would have ordered another Truffle Prawn. I ended my meal with a cup of Illy coffee, then headed back to my hotel. Ah, what a meal! Superb from start to finish! So just be aware that you may not be able to eat there if you go past 2. Fried Rice/Yakisoba- The rice and the noodles are great, but there's something funky about the protein. When I've ordered beef yakisoba before, the beef tastes funky- not fresh. I feel like these are strong side dishes, but I do question the freshness/flavor of the protein added to these dishes.
