    Sea Salt Strawberry Jasmine (seasonal?)
    Elizabeth M.

I always have a great experience. I love the choco and milk bun. I tried their Strawberry Jasmine Sea salt drink and I loved (very light and refreshing). Lots of space to sit and it wasn't crowded around 5pm. Service is great and fast .

85 has been my go to choice when I am running late for a friend gathering and I need to bring something yummy and a crowd pleasure. They offer a variety of tarts and I always grabbed those and ask they get packed in a box. It makes me look so prepared, like I planned this for weeks on end. The wait is a bit long at this location as they only have one cashier but she was very nice and doing her best to serve everyone. Casual. Indoor seating available. Please come and create your own experience.

I had an eye doctor appointment yesterday next to 85 and saw some attractive pics of their mango creations posted at the door. The Mango Coconut Smoothie looked really good so I had to try. Well, while it was refreshing, I'd say it was just ok.

Pls explain to me how you can charge me $5 for ice and one shot. The drinks here are horrible

Iced drinks are 98% ice. Wanna spend $5 for ice this is the place. Over and over I come here and the drinks are overpriced and most ice

their bread is amazing My favorite is milk pudding. They always have new seasonal items. The staff is always super friendly, and the place is always clean. They also have Matcha and a lot of different coffees, taro , they also even have birthday cakes Today I tried a ham and cheese. The quality of ham and cheese was delicious. I really didn't like the horseradish sauce. It was too sweet and kind of threw up the sandwich. It was like pastry croissant fell apart when you bit it because it's so flaky but definitely delicious

    Coffee Milk Butter Bun

Everyone is a fan of this bakery. However I myself am not really. There are a lot of options for coffee, tea, and lots of milk buns along with other various pastries. I've tried a few of them when co-workers buy a bunch, but I'm just not a fan of the milk infused breads, or coffee, or tea. The cinnamon roll is good though, although for my roll fix, I go elsewhere. But that's just my specific taste.

I really liked: Zebra Oolong Milk Tea I liked: Egg tart Matcha Choco Bun Ham & Cheese I appreciate that the store is a bit larger than some others franchisees and all the food is prepackaged. It's easier to grab things and helps check out faster. I would still want to know if there's fresh pastries but I didn't stick around long enough to know if they still do that. Service was quick but I had to wait a while for them to restock boba straws since the workers are pretty heads down on their tasks and no one was checking to see if the straws were empty. There are a couple small tables inside and when it's not busy, you can sit an chat with a friend without the noise level being overwhelming.

The sign clearly says they close at 9pm. But at 815pm it's clear they don't want people coming in. Love the way restaurants and cafes flip chairs onto tables while they're still open. Nothing is lovier than looking at dirty chair legs, or looking at chair bottoms on the tops of tables where you place your food or drinks.

    Green Milk Tea w/ Boba
    Michelle N.

Always hits the spot on a nice hot day when I'm craving boba!! I got the Green Milk Tea with Boba! The tea to milk ratio was deliciously made but it tasted a little grainy. Could've been just me though haha. I didn't get the chance to try out any of the pastries like I normally do for 85 but maybe during my next trip here!

Is your business phone # working? I kept calling and it just keeps ringing. It's January 30, 2021 at 11:35 am.

Same here. I've been calling them for the last 2 days. No answer. Guess they don't want business.

    Do they have curbside pickup?

Hi Mary, Thank you so much for asking, we love your interest!…

Do we need to pre-order the 8 in. cakes or can we just stop by the store and pick one up?

They have twelve different flavors of the 8 inch cakes ( Black Velvet etc...... ) All of which can be picked up if available. As of April 29, 2019 , the price range was 30 to 33 dollars.

    Do they make custom cakes?

I don't believe so. There is nothing on their website about custom cakes. Their cakes aren't traditional simple cakes, but specialty flavors like Sea Salt Coffee Brûlée, Mango Creme Brûlée.…

Are they open!? I looooved this place when I worked in Torrance.

They are! I would be a great time to go in now before the rush of their grand opening

Safe to say that I'm obsessed but I think that's a testament to how good their matcha and pastries are. Their matcha is my new favorite in OC. I get the matcha latte at 75% sweet which is SO SO GOOD! It's a perfect balance of sweet and still being able to taste the flavor and bitterness of the matcha. I'm surprised more people don't talk about their matcha. Don't get me started on their pastries and desserts... ALSO SO GOOD. They have such a huge variety of pastries, both sweet and savory, that it's hard to choose but that also means there's something for everyone. My favorites are their blueberry brioche, matcha cruffin, and egg bacon bread. The egg bacon bread surprised me since it's made of rice flour and has a chewy/mochi like consistency - it's so unique and you just have to try it. When you enter, you wait in line and let the staff know which pastries you want and they'll grab them for you to put in a box. Once you get to the cashier, you can order your drinks there. If you only want drinks, you can skip the line to order at the kiosk at the front. The staff are all super friendly. Plenty of parking since it's an Irvine plaza and there's about 5 tables inside but outdoor seating is available too.

I ordered Early Gray and Matcha Cruffins and they were delicious. The Earl Gray is a little bit on the sweeter side when compared to the match, so pairing it with a non-sweet tea would be perfect. I got so many pastries. There were no misses. My favorite of the bunch was the blueberry cake. The cake wasn't too sweet, was moist, fluffy, and tasty. I enjoyed the matcha cheesecake, garlic sea salt bread, and raspberry cruffin as well. I also grabbed an egg bacon bread and regular sea salt bread to-go for future breakfasts. Warmed up, these were great in the morning! To drink I had the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte which was not too sweet and yummy! Good matcha flavor and the banana pudding was creamy. Mixed together, it was good. I also enjoyed the crunchy bits in there as well as the real banana slices. I got it at the small size, but the portion was generous. It went well with the pastries. There's some inside seating and tables as well as a bathroom available. There is lots of free parking around the bakery. I went in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was still packed! I love how the bakers were constantly baking even in the afternoon, so they brought out fresh batches of their pastries. Everywhere I looked was so pretty, I couldn't decide where to sit at our reserved table for a party of 5. We dressed up for the occasion. My daughter ordered beautiful hats for us ladies. My grandson wore a fedora and his sister had a pink bow band in her hair which matched the lovely mauve pink velvet on the chairs. The service? Wow! Friendly, elegant, helpful at suggestions. A 10 out of 5. Layla and Billy were our star butlers for the afternoon. Layla suggested a peppermint tea for the children, for example. (Ages 10 and 11) And now about the tea. Each chose their special drink from about 50 types of tea, including herbal and chai. Served in antique looking ceramic tea pots, each a different one! My choice was Strawberry Shortcake tea, a gentile berry taste. There were pink heart shape sugar cubes in tiny bowls with tiny gold ones to serve one lump or too. Honey and sweetener are available too. Everyone had their table set with individual china cups and matching saucer, plus treats plate. Gold serviceware wrapped in pink napkins. Flowers on the wall and at the tables. This is the best party I've ever had! Now about the food. Excellent. Elegantly presented on three-tiered china plate serving trays. Delicious tea sandwiches - cut in dainty triangles - and my favorite - cucumber sandwich! Don't forget about the delectable traditional tea sweets, pretty and perfectly prepared. Miniature cookies, scones, plus bites of cheesecake, blueberry crumble, brownie, and more. There is pink cream cheese , preserves, and "clotted' cream too. Party all inclusive packages are about $45 per person - BUT- there are individual items too, reasonably priced for an afternoon with a friend. I've been to other tea houses but this takes the birthday cake! A dream come true. Thank you!

They seemed kind of confused. My Man Go: 2/10. A trompe l'œil pastry designed to look like a mango, filled with fresh mango, mango mousse, and sitting atop a hazelnut praline cookie. For starters, the chocolate shell was soft and lacked the crispness of properly tempered chocolate. Either that, or it had started melting due to improper temperature regulation in the case. The fresh mango was overripe and had no texture; the mousse was similarly made of overripe mango and was room temperature. The praline was not made properly, and had zero structure. I don't really understand how all of these things can be true when it appears as though the pastries are sitting in a refrigerated case. What a waste of mango. Interior was standard, no decorations. TVs playing Tik Tok reviews. Tables were all dirty, probably because of the lack of structural integrity of the pastries.
