The storage units are clean and dry, maybe a little dusty, but that's to be expected. Doors are rollup with lock hasps. I used the contactless pick up but could not figure out how to do it. Walked in and the nice lady at the desk, Dori said that only pertains to after hour pick up or drop off. She was very information and even answered my questions about how we could rent a vehicle with a ramp. It was only $10 more than the 10ft truck. The 15ft came with a ramp which would be ideal for moving the fridge. She took the time to show me the vehicle and what it looked it. I greatly appreciated this. She revised my contract and reviewed the drop off information. Even though I only needed it for 5 hours, she said you pay for a day anyways so the technical return time is next day at 1230p. This was good info to have. Dori really made the truck rental experience very pleasant. I will be back to rent trucks when needed. Thank you for the awesome customer service. Ps. She only works on Sunday and Monday!

After paying, I called the facility multiple times and left several voicemail messages trying to arrange pickup. I finally spoke with the manager, who specifically instructed me to meet them at the facility before 1:00 PM. I drove to the facility and arrived around 12:30 PM, only to find that no one was there. This was my second trip to the property, and once again I was unable to access the unit I had already paid for. The lack of communication and failure to honor the scheduled pickup has put my purchase at risk because the 48-hour pickup deadline continues to run even though the facility has not provided access. I understand that things happen, but customers should not lose an auction or be penalized because the facility fails to be available as promised. At a minimum, there should be reliable communication and a reasonable extension when the delay is caused by the facility. I hope management addresses this issue promptly and improves communication with future auction buyers.

I recently moved to A-American Self Storage in Buena Park from another storage facility in Cerritos. The price of the units and the discounts offered is what attracted me to A-American Self Storage, they are significantly less expensive than my previous storage center. Although the facility doesn't have much dollies/carts for use, the facility is clean and seemed secure. Troy and Joanne have been awesome, extremely helpful, and pleasant to speak with. Living overseas, it's very difficult to plan my move and arrange things but with their assistance I was able to move my stuff and take care of the necessary paperwork within a couple days. The online site is great and easy to understand. I'm new to A-American Self storage but I have been using storage units for over 10 years and I definitely recommend this place. read more

I needed a unit to stuff some things in temporarily (I hope). In the middle of moving I called up and Leslie did everything she could to help me quickly get into unit without feeling pressured and made sure I was thoroughly informed about everything after showing me several different units. A-American you guys are lucky to have her with your business. Update- After being there for a few months already I was hesitant to run into Joanne. One of the tenants told me she was rude and wasn't very nice to the tenants. After paying my rent twice in the office and running into Joanne I find that she is actually quite nice. She's very helpful and goes above and beyond to help all tenants. Both Leslie and Joanne have been awesome and I'm glad I'm storing here. read more

On top of always making sure we picked the right size unit for our needs, she also gave us helpful tips on how to utilize our space efficiently. I have had a unit here since spring of 2016 and have had a truly pleasurable experience. Joann is by far the most personable individual of her kind (I have used many other storage facilities). Even when I let myself get behind, I was always greeted with respect and helpful suggestions. Everyone at this location has been great. Thanks guys!!! i have been with A-American in Buena Park for a little over a year. During this time, I've needed to switch units. This would have been much more difficult without Jo Ann's help. She is thorough and detailed - explaining everything very clearly (each time I've needed to sign a new forms). She has always gone above and beyond to help. It's clearly obvious that she takes pride in her work and the facility. It's been a great experience. I would recommend them to anyone. The facility is very neat, the prices are really fair and affordable, and everyone there has been extremely helpful. I was an automatic billing and had to vacate outside of the 7-day time period (moving to a new place), but JoAnn told me to draft a request to receive a refund on the days this month I will not be using the storage unit. Having my items at this branch of A-American Self Storage has been a great experience, and I definitely recommend them. read more

In 6 months of renting here, my rate went from $98 to $177 and is now increasing to $249. Rate increases are normal and acceptable - this is not "keeping up with market rates," it's a bait & switch. BEWARE!
