This review is for my Valentine's service that I received with Sherry yesterday. My boyfriend had me scheduled for a 60 minute Swedish massage as a gift. He mentioned that booking this appointment over the phone was very easy and the lady receptionist was very helpful, patient and friendly. Parking in the back was a bit confusing and seemed to be limited. I ended up opting to park on the side street for free and walked the extra few minutes to the massage business. The massage itself was amazingly good. Sherry took her time to work on every aching part of my body. I went with medium touch and noticed that with Sherry's technique of work she added trigger point therapy to break up my tight muscles. SUCH AN AWESOME TINGLY FEELING! This review is for the prenatal massage. I came out pleasantly surprised at how thorough and organized they were. During the massage, the place was quiet despite being booked to capacity. I liked how the masseuse did not go in and out multiple times throughout the massage. Also I liked how my masseuse used a combination of arm and fingers (some places use mostly arm I feel like). Another plus is the fact that they asked me where they want them to focus on prior to the massage. I indicated lower back and shoulders and they did just that. My bf booked me a massage for Valentine's day and it was a 10/10 massage! They text you with parking info to relieve the stress from looking for parking. The gentleman attending in the front is very kind. This place is cozy and the spaces for the massage are small but the whole place gives zen vibes. The space is very clean. I love that when you check in, they have a small paper with areas of focus and amount of pressure for your massage [light, medium, hard] or deep tissue (extra charge). My masseuse was Zoey and she was very attentive to my areas of focus as well as getting all areas head to toe! Complimentary hot stones which felt very nice. I was super relaxed and comfortable the entire time! I will be going back for a regular monthly self-care upkeep. I love that you're not forced into tipping like other places - it's definitely a good bang for your buck! Fantastic massage! No need to look any further. This place has the goods. It's clean, skilled and communicative masseuses, all at a reasonable price. My husband got me a gift certificate for a 2 hr massage and I WAS IN HEAVEN. I believe Cindy worked on me and she hit all the areas I mentioned, taking her time and making sure all was worked out. This place is great! I was looking for a no frills massage spa that offered an array of services for a cost effective price in my neighborhood and after researching Yelp, I decided to give A Beautiful Day Spa a try. I took a look at their website, which was very easy to use and informative and was able to quickly book a massage appointment online. I was happy because there were a few same day and next day appointments available, which was just what I needed due to an aching back, so I went ahead and booked a 60 min Swedish/ Signature Massage for $55. (Note: there's a $5 discount for this service if you pay in cash.) The price was too good to pass up. The lady at the front desk was very nice and hospitable upon check in. She had me fill out a form indicating the type of pressure I wanted and areas of concern, then took me to my massage "room" (a curtained area), where I undressed and waited for my massage to begin. The massage beds were warmed and the room was at a comfortable temperature, which made me feel super comfortable and relaxed at bad. I personally can't stand a cold massage room. Yoyo was my masseuse and she was great! She really helped work out my knots and made me feel relaxed. She worked on the areas highlighted on my form and worked in the hot stones (included in the price), and used a nice amount of massage oil. She was strong and used a lot of pressure which my muscles really needed. Keep in mind that this is not a fancy decorated day spa with jacuzzi's, steam rooms and the like. I didn't rate for the aesthetics. If fancy is something you are looking for, then this is not the place. But if you need a solid massage or acupuncture, then give this place a try. read more

If you need to cancel or make changes, be sure to do it within 24 hours of your appointment or you might incur a fee Parking- they have some spots in the back, through the access of a 1 way street. There's also ample metered parking on the main street Staff- Brandon(?) the taller receptionist is sooo amazing! we had some scheduling issues and he was so very patient with us. I really appreciate his kindness and flexibility and he tied the experience together for us Space- a bit limited and not as aesthetic as other spas I've been to but you def get the bang for your buck! we did a couple's massage for an hour and it was only $120! I usually ask for hard pressure and these ladies are STRONG. i tapped out and asked for medium after a minute LOL they work hard and those hot stones are sooo soo great. They're also attentive because my chart said to not massage my left hand and she remembered :') there's been so many, super expensive places that forget details like that. I have been going here for years. A faithful paying customer for several years. They have 1 couples room, 2-3 private rooms with doors and 2 spaces that are simply closed with curtains. Normally when you book, the reception will advise that the only appt they have is not in a private room. For the past 4 years, everytime I have booked they have provided this information upfront and they allow you to decide if you want a private room or not. Recently, I booked, possibly with a new receptionist. and when I arrived they indicated I would be in the open space, with curtains no door. ( mind you, there are people constantly walking up and down the hall and it can become noisy). I advised the reception I did not know that was the room I would be booked for as I was not advised ahead. I requested a private room at that time. They could not accommodate so I canceled. I later received a message from the reception indicating that if I wanted to rebook I would need to pay for the visit I cancelled. I called them twice to speak with the manager to come to an agreement. No answer. I sent a message that I would like to speak with the manager. Hours later received a text from the owner that they no longer want my business. No phone call from the manager, no conversation. Simply, they don't want my business. That's unfortunate, I loved coming here. I referred so many clients, and instead of having the opportunity to speak with someone to come to an arrangement, this was their response. This is a small spa located on Colorado blvd. It was easy to make an appointment online. They don't take American Express but you can pay with any other card or there is a discount for cash. There are three rooms. I requested a medium firmness massage. I think it could have been a bit firmer but overall it was a nice massage. You can point out areas where you want extra attention and can also tell them spots to avoid. She also used some hot stones which was nice and relaxing. I would come here again. read more

I just had a massage from Wendy today. She was so great! Pricing is great, I was in a private room and Wendy was very attentive to what I needed in terms of pressure. Another thing that made the difference for me, I was 5 minutes late to my appointment (I got a little lost). She didn't count that against me and my massage still lasted the whole hour. I usually get beat up by more affordable massage places. That was not the case here, I left feeling great and immediately booked another appointment. I accidentally stumbled across this gem of a place one day after leaving another massage facilitity in the area. I couldn't believe how friendly and professional A Beautiful Day Spa is. It's very clean, the front desk manager, Will Shi was warm and helpful and very friendly. The masseuse was outstanding, a one hour massage felt like a two hour massage! I am so happy that this place is open again. During the pandemic I tried other massage places and they just didn't come close. Not only is it clean and smells great in the waiting area and massage rooms, every massage therapist is great so I never feel like I have to request a specific one. After reading the reviews, I decided to give A Beautiful Day Spa a try since the prices seemed reasonable. I'm really glad I went! It was so relaxing and although I like strong pressure, I could tell Yoyo (my masseuse) was taking extra care to protect the baby. Tip - it's $5 cheaper if you pay in cash. This was my first time at this Spa and wow, just wow! The staff was so gracious about me being 15 minutes late, and my therapist, Ella, was insanely incredible!! My body was tight everywhere so I booked the added deep pressure. Ella used enough pressure to really get in there without it being painful, and was able to read when it was and lighten up the pressure. The hot stones were a treat and 10/10 all around. First time in and my experience was overall pretty good. Parking was really difficult, I made sure to get there early before my appointment and still barely made it after finally finding parking. The 2 spots in their little lot behind the building were full, and getting back out of the lot was a nightmare. Street parking on Colorado is just 1 hour which isn't good for a 1 hour massage. I finally found a spot on Catalina that was 2 hour parking. The employee in the lobby was very friendly and sweet, I liked her a lot. The lobby itself could use a good cleaning, the counter with the TV on it was very visibly dusty and just seemed ignored. I didn't have to wait very long at all before I got brought back to a room where I undressed and the masseuse was there to start very quickly. I asked for medium/firm pressure and asked for her to focus on my neck and shoulders the most. She did exactly what I asked for, though I do think next time I'll ask for deep tissue because it just wasn't quite as firm as I would like. It was a lot of flat hand massaging whereas I would like knuckles dug in, but maybe I'm a weirdo. She used hot stones which felt fantastic and she really respected the zones I asked not to be touched (which is something I've had a problem with at other spas). The massage went the full 60 minutes, and it was relaxing, peaceful, and quiet. Overall my experience was pleasant, but not the best massage I've ever had. I will definitely be back and next time I'll ask for deep tissue, and maybe try an upgrade like aromatherapy. I will update my review then! read more
