From my first phone call speaking to Mandy, it was an amazing experience she was very helpful and was able to get me an appointment within the week!!! My appointment was for Saturday and Friday evening I received a voice message confirming my appointment for Saturday morning!!! Saturday morning day of appointment Paul who was coming out called me to let me know he was on his way!! We live in a Brand New development out in Sandy OR and most people are not able to locate us however Paul had no issue at all!! He came in and we discussed all of the options for the AC unit and maintenance plan they offer as well!! Paul is very detailed on everything which I very much appreciated !!! He took his time going over and explaining all of the key points and how the install would happened!!! We discussed the prices and any discounts and I was incredibly pleased with his amazing customer service and experience he has in the industry!!!! A Temp was not my first company I called, I called the company who installed the heating system as well to get a quote and it was a complete shit show and will never call them again!!! Paul earned my trust and made it a incredibly comfortable experience!!!!! Jan 15, 2022!!! Update 1-31-2022 So they came out to my house today to install the AC unit, talk about a incredible service!!!! Wow so they came In to check everything out they put on the shoe covers so they work not get our home dirty !!!! So after they did the walk through they started the in stall, so they brought in traps to cove the entry way as well they used red plastic to cover the stairs and carpet up stairs to the furnace!!! This is an absolute first class company !! The techs did an amazing install and were incredibly clean as well ! Great guys to have come install the AC unit! They took there time and made sure it was done very professional as well!! The install was all completed in around 5 hours and I was told they could be there 6-8 hours !!! So when they completed it sooner a i was surprised!! They let me know they weee done and the electrician would be by any time as well!!! Update 1-31-2022 Electrician showed up less than 1 hour after the installers left to ensure it was all done to his satisfaction, he let me know that he was going to make a few changes and would be done shortly!!! He was done less than one hour as well! Let me know if I had any concerns to call them and they will come out !!! Yesterday, I posted this on facebook, because I am so grateful for the extraordinary service I received from A-Temp Heating & Cooling. · "God bless A-Temp Heating and Cooling, Clackamas County, and my wonderful daughter. As many of you know, I'm scheduled for a mastectomy this Thursday morning. What most of you don't know is that my furnace went out last Tuesday. Up to that morning, I thought I'd been handling things well - no tears, minimal stress. Well, my cold house pushed me over the edge. I called A-Temp in tears, told them what was happening and asked them to come ASAP. Usually, if you call a heating company in the dead of winter, it takes a day or two to get a service call. Billy from A-Temp was here in an hour! However, a total fix required an expensive part that I could not afford. So I paid for a partial fix, and had to leave my fan running constantly - which resulted in periods of cold air blowing through the vents. The next day a friend told me about a County program that gives grants for emergency home repairs. I contacted them and their rep came to my house that afternoon with an application, then came back later to pick it up and take it for processing. In the meantime, A-Temp set about finding the part for my 1995 furnace. Because they couldn't find a part locally, they are actually sending Billy out of town to pick up the part. And in the meantime, my daughter bought me a space heater that warms half of my house! As a result of the extraordinary measures of all of these dedicated people, I am relatively warm - and A-temp will be here tomorrow morning to fully repair my furnace." We recently hired A-Temp to replace our gas furnace as well as install a new A/C unit in our home. We got a couple bids and A-Temp gave us the best price, quickest date available for install and they were the only company whose installers are NATE certified. All the companies offer identical service and satisfaction guarantees. These reasons led us to hire A-Temp over the others. They were able to schedule our install in just 3 days from the date of our initial consultation and purchase. It was originally set up for a week out but they had a last minute opening and we took it! This last minute opening was on a 90* day and my husbands birthday! I realize it was a fluke but we were so thankful! The installers showed up right on time and got right to work. We were extremely pleased with the workers who came to our home to do the installation. They were very friendly (but not too friendly), courteous of our home and property, clean and respectful, very professional, efficient and thorough. They had 2 more guys come to the house ( who finished another job early) to help our installers get the job done quicker. How cool is that! JR arrived at my door - with a smile and was promptly on time. He was very polite, put his cover boots on right away, shook my hand and told me who he was. When he entered my home, he told me where he needed to go first and then reached down and greeted my dog. He was VERY helpful in explaining things to me as he worked and did not talk over my head about equipment needs. He showed me the filter and offered recommendations in replacing it more often. He was (I watched him work) very detailed in cleaning my furnace and chatted with me, while he worked. After he was finished, he explained all the work performed and recommended that we have our duct work cleaned, soon. I asked about pricing on the cleaning and he was prompt in giving me an approximate quote. When he left, he thanked me for being a loyal customer and wished me Happy Holiday's. It was truly refreshing to have such professionalism from such a young lad. It's employee's like this that encourage me to continue to use A-Temp. I am a proud customer. I was very pleased with the estimator of the type, size, and price of AC we needed. The installers explained some important specifics and did a very skilled and thorough job. He made measurements and checked the number of air vents our house had, which another company did not do. He also checked the size of a certain critical part of our furnace motor to see what size AC would need to fit with that, and the other company also did not check that. And finally we were informed clearly of the warranty and the interest free loan we could get when paid off within 18 months. It seemed we weren't getting the proper cooling that we were informed that we should get. So, I called on a Friday, and a technician came on Saturday. I was given a time frame when the technician would come, and I received a call 30 minutes before his arrival that he was on his way to my home. All of this quick service occurred during this 90+ degree temperatures we've been getting. So, in the extreme business because of the heat, A-Temp came through for us. Most impressive experience with A-Temp! The service technician, Bill, was a wonderful ambassador for the firm. He showed us pictures of the furnace's issues, and explained in layperson terms. Bill was extremely polite, and he instilled confidence. Brian was the gentleman that came out to give us an estimate. What impressed me the most was the honest portrayal of their services, and the assurance he instilled that the job would be done in a professional manner. We didn't, (very atypical for me), even get another quote, as I knew we were in good hands. The installers, Rafael and Saul, were very conscientious, and did such a tidy job with regards to adapting the new furnace. Not at all happy with this Company, I purchased and Air conditioner and went through everything, sales person called the office to set up installation appointment and we were set to go. The day of installation came and there was not one at my house, so I called, they informed me that my appointment had been reschedule do to overbooking and that they had called me withing 20 minutes of scheduling it, Not true, since the salesman was still here going through the paperwork. I have a service contract with them and this is not the first time they do things without informing you and then you wait, wait and wait for them to take care of an issue with over payment, that took 3 calls to get the refund back. But now I don't have any other options than to wait on them since everyone else is busy. The salesman Joel was great, and very helpful on my decision to go ahead and purchases the unit, my experience with the technician has been good too, is their office that do things their own way, so there for not too happy with them at all. read more

I am a single woman in my mid 60's and was in need of a new furnace. After making many calls I found that this company was the only local company that took the time to come to my home and talk with me about my broken furnace. Most all of the companies I called would only give me prices over the phone and the others would not come for a week. Other companies seemed to want a second person here at my house to help me buy a new furnace. My husband passed away five years ago and I am able to make my decisions on my own. This company sent out a serviceman right away and then an estimator to talk with me about what was best for me and my home. We have used A-Temp over the past 8+ years for maintenance and service. We've had a glitch or two with them, including a couple of service techs who used hard-sell/scare tactics, but nothing that couldn't be worked out or around with research and common sense on our part. Clark cleaned our blower wheel today, and took the time to show and explain how to achieve better filtration, along with our options. He previously performed our annual maintenance/service, and both times, was very courteous, conscientious, and helpful. Hopefully, A-Temp will keep techs like Clark. I don't know about anyone else, but honesty and transparency works best with me, and Clark's manner makes me feel that he's working for both our interests. What can I say about A-temp? In short, one of the best service experiences we've ever had. From the time the first tech came out to take a look at our dead furnace (Keith?) to getting totally up and running, we were met with friendliness, efficiency, punctuality, and respect for our home. Peter was a pleasure to work with- he took the time to answer all of our (probably excessive) questions, explain all of our options, payment breakdowns, etc. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We interviewed three different companies about replacing our 30 year old furnace, hot water heater and air conditioning unit. Paul was the sales guy from A-temp, and we felt real comfortable with his follow through and knowledge. One of the bids received was outrageously high, and they pressured to close us first meeting. We had AC installed about 14 months ago. It stopped working last weekend. It has already been completely repaired at no cost to us. It did take 2 visits to track down the leak but service was functionally restored after the first. I am terrible with names but I believe Bill and Derek were the techs who helped to fix our issue. Bill (if I got his name right) was super helpful and patient. He answered every question I had and ensured while the leak was still present for 2 days, service was restored and would not go out until they could get a second tech out to help track down and repair the leak. I like A-Temp the company. I've used them the past 9 years when they replaced an old furnace and heat pump. The new unit worked great for awhile. The heat pump failed 5 years later. The Company replaced the compressor at no charge to us. Then the compressor failed again four years later in April, 2023. A whole new heat pump of a different brand was installed May 4th, 2023 at no charge to us. Christian R. had to solve some very difficult wiring issues in order to get our furnace and thermostat to work together. He took the necessary time to figure everything out and was able to use our existing thermostat, which saved us considerable money. I called A-Temp on Saturday morning, and they were able to come out that afternoon. This was important, because forest fires had created very toxic air throughout the Portland area, and we had to get our fan to work continuously to cleanse the indoor air. Keith came out to help us and he was prompt and professional. I understood the $99 to come out and look at the problem and knew that it would be more for parts. Nothing hidden there. My AC was just sitting on the flat surface and when he serviced almost three years ago he elevated it by putting bricks under four corners. That was impressive. This company is who you want in your home! They came out for a Tune up. Anne the technician was so knowllegable and friendly. She even showed me how to change my filter. I had no Idea. She recommended to have my ducts looked at as i had cold spots in part of my home.
