Haven't been here since 2020 during Covid lockdown outside for breakfast. This is a classic diner with great pictures of old time Atascadero. I was really hoping it was going to be a good diner. We went Friday June 7 around 3:30ish. The place had 2 people at the counter eating and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The service was friendly and quick. The problem was I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich ( it had sooo much hard grizzle (inedible) it was half the meat) the sauce was something really spicy, there was hardly any sauted onions. Pretty much the worst Philly sandwich I've ever had. The price was $17.99 and didn't come with any sides. My husband ordered the Classic turkey club ($17.99). We ordered a basket of fried zucchini, a half and half basket of fries and onion rings. Again for the price I was not impressed. Don't be fooled by my photo of the food it just wasn't good enough for the price.

So last time I was here was several years ago, I don't pass this way often going to San Francisco but it was on the path this time and was an appropriate time for breakfast / lunch / brunch. Tried the corn beef hash with their potatoes and scrambled eggs. Gf had the teriyaki burger which was good with the right amount of sauce. Fries served with the burger were seasoned just right as were my potatoes so additional sauce like ketchup wasn't needed. Jukebox was playing near the end of our meal adding to this very retro 50s diner vibe they got going on. Decent size parking lot. Service didn't take long from seating to being served, if anything the only delay was on our part deciding what to eat since they have many different and good sounding options. Worth a try if passing through

Another shot of their basic hamburger..... which tastes sooooo much more than basic!

A classic diner feel.... well into the 21st century! My husband & I are both born & raised here in North San Luis Obispo County, & we've had the pleasure of dining at A-Town Diner many, many times throughout the years. We've never been disappointed! The staff are great; always friendly, helpful, & they check in with their diners often to ensure a pleasant experience. When it comes to their food, they have a selection for anyone, & it's consistently delicious! FYI ~ They have the BEST crinkle-cut french fries! We love A-Town Diner, & we know you will too!

We stopped in for some dessert. Service was great. We went in one hour before closing and our waitress was very kind and also made some pretty awesome Sundaes. If you stop in here for a sweet treat, you won't leave disappointed!

"Bacon" cheeseburger well done...no bacon and not well done.

I'd heard their food was better under the new owners so I decided to try them again. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries through door dash. Order arrived with no bacon, it wasn't well done it was quite pink, and it had a tiny piece of cheese. The fries were overcooked and greasy. Sorry to say I won't be going back, I've never been happy with their food. Also for the price the burger was small as was the portion of fries.

A local mainstay for many years, you'll always walk away satisfied and full. I enjoyed the A-town burger this go-round. Two flat top griddled patties, bacon, avocado, and the traditional fixins on a fresh bun. Each burger/sandwich comes with fries and the option to substitute onion rings, mozzarella sticks, sweet potato fries, or zucchini sticks. The menu has something for everyone, so even the most finicky eaters can find something. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I can tell that any local will point you in the direction of A-town diner.

PRHS Class of 1971 at lunch.

Paso Robles High Hchool class of 71 had lunch. The service and the food was good. It was good spending time at this location with students from the past who have remained friends. This is a good place to go back to.

The food here is SO SO good and reasonably priced! The people working here are great as well. My girlfriend had a special request for chocolate chip pancakes (they weren't on the menu) and our waitress said "we don't say no here!" I will definitely be back, possibly every weekend until I move!

They're fast, friendly service and good food! Great deal for how much food they give you and generous on the condiments.

Several places were closed for the day already and I saw this little corner place that still had the Open sign on. Burgers? Sure, why not, that should fill me up and it sure did! I ordered the regular Old Fashioned (no cheese), side of fries and a drink. Everyone was very friendly and helpful as I've never been to this place to eat before let alone this part of the state! The burger was perfectly cooked at medium and very juicy and delicious! Fried were good, not great but the burger was the star of the meal anyway. But I will say the fries were good once I dipped them in the dripping juices and sauce from the burger. But it was a very hearty burger and after a long drive, really hit the spot! If I'm ever in this area again or see another Sylvester's I will definitely make it a point to visit and try a different burger. Favorite dish: Old Fashioned with no cheese. Go out and EAT!

It's super family friendly, and our son loves the toddler play area. Our nieces also love the arcade games, so it's a great spot for kids and families. The staff has always been great, the indoor/outdoor space is awesome for groups, and having a full kitchen makes it even better. We even hosted a small lead-in gathering there the night before our son's 1st birthday party, and it was perfect. We're excited to keep coming back and becoming regulars.

This makes total sense knowing that the owners came from San Diego and both worked for PPBC. Being familiar with Wild Fields award-winning brews we settled for the flight and then added some food later. Being a West Coast IPA couple, we were not disappointed with their draft offerings. In addition to IPAs, they have a good representaion of other styles, so there will be something for everyone-as long as they like beer. Wild Fields also puts together a home-brew competion, fuly embracing their community and craft beer roots. The winner gets to brew a batch of their recipe on the house system and this ultra low alcohol, smoked wheat beer was one of the most unique beers I've had. For the food, we had pulled pork and loaded mac-n-cheese. Pulled pork was fine, but I'd prefer more smoke flavor and aroma. For loaded mac, the protein is polish sausage-not something I've seen before. While it somewhat works, I don't think I'd order this again. They also had a ticketed comedy show, which we stayed for after the official closing time on a Saturday. It was fun and totally worth it. With their strong local connections and family atmosphere, Wild Fields in Atascadero is worth the detour from SLO and Paso destinations, especially for families.
