Again, I have been coming to ABC for years and years. This place gets bad reviews, but i like it here. Everything is cheap, especially with the inflation going on to where every other grocer is fleecing everyone out of their money. I stopped here last night to grab some fresh seafood i wanted to cook for my girl. The lobster is cheap here and the shrimp has good prices. Store even have a few American goods here to purchase. I bought some fresh cherries and bananas here. They just need to keep the fruit area clean. Kind of always dirty on that aisle with flies everywhere. l'll be honest, I really dislike coming into this area, but sometimes I gotta for family, ya know? We came over an hour or so before closing and on GOD it was the most absolute dog shit service ever. I was grinding FGO for the lottery, so I was lagging behind but my aunt was struggling to get the shopping cart out from being stuck with the other carts. She looked at the security guards for help, but they just looked at her and did nothing, went back to talking. She's ESL and kinda shy, so when I figured that I couldn't budge them either, I asked these dudes for help. The looked at me, did nothing. Okay, maybe they didn't understand me. I said, "Ayudame por favor!" and the started fucking laughing at me. Are you fucking kidding me? Even without that, you could easily see two people clearly struggling to get the cart. Ugh whatever, already in a bad mood. I went in and asked the cashier dude closest to the entrance for help. Guy kinda looks at me and does nothing. I go closer to him and ask, dude straight up ignores me. Aunt comes in and asks him in Vietnamese, also gets ignored, she goes up closer to him and asks him. Clear as day in Vietnamese, the dude goes, "If you act rude that way, how do you think you're gonna get help? It's so busy, do you think we can just drop everything for you?" BRO WHAT THE FUCK. There was NOBODY else there in terms of customers. Aight, so when my aunt went to go get her noodles. Asian Market is Always Busy Crowded! I always find myself glue to the cheap price of the product even though I wished the store would have more space inside. Majority of the time, it's packed. You know it's packed when all register is open and lines are long. Vegetable is fresh. Meat is frozen and semi-decent Seafood.. is fresh and cheap price. Fish, lobster, clams or crab. You can find it there for a good price. I give it a 3 star because of the tight space between the aisle, looks unorganized, and some what not clean. So i went here for the house special lobster. I was standing in front of the livd lobsters and the guy standing by the tank asked me if i was going to get lobsters cooked and i said yes, he asked how many lobsters and i said i didnt know, then he asked me how many ppl and i said "6 people", he suggest 4 lobsters. So i went with that. He gave me two bags to hold for him and he picked the 4 lobsters. I had to get it weighed at the counter and they gave me a ticket. You have to take the tickets to the "to-go" orders and pay for the lobster, once its paid they start cooking the lobsters for you. The lady was so sweet and helpful about the process, told me it was going to take 30 min since it looked so busy and come back to the same to-go counter, but we checked in after 20min and our lobster was already packed up. I love the whole experience, the guy at the tank was helpful, the guy weighing my lobster was helpful, and the lady at the to-go station was helpful. Can they do this with the crabs or just lobster? Is there a secret password for the seafood counter? I wanted to get a pound (only 2 in my household) of the salmon, so I asked for it. The butcher smiles and says "no". I thought he was joking, so I clarified "salmon steak"? He smiles at my squirming, and says no again. Before I could ask if he was for real, I realize there's explosive yelling directed at me. I didn't understand this employee, but I took my cart away as this mad man was gesturing wildly to get the @$#! out of his way. Did I inadvertently cut the line? I look around...nope. Then an older customer was also denied 3 lbs of whatever seafood he desired. I waited patiently, then gave up. The retail are less than a regular super market where i live. Sometimes could be a headache because the lines are long wait and the parking area is busy because of the weekend shoppers. Abc supermarket is THE worst supermarket in the entire Orange County (California), if not entire California. Let's start with the Meat department; it's smelly, unsanitary, and the workers are extremely rude with an exception of Uncle Hung. I've worked in retail over 15 years and I can easily see these people shouldn't be working with customers at all. Their attitudes toward customers are despicable, demeaning, and unprofessional....especially toward the elderly. They work there as if we are there to beg for food. That bad attitudes extend to the seafood department as well...rude, unprofessional, ignorance, and despicable. If you don't like your job because of low pay, no benefits, management is cheap, slave driven operations, pigs and sucks....you can always quit, no one forces you to work there. But when you accepted the job and the money, you should do a decent job and take care the customers. After many years shopping here cuz it's just across the street from my house, my family, our relatives and friends have enough of Abc's bad and horrendous treatment and we will take our business to other supermarkets. I'm not sure why my family likes shopping at this establishment on occasion, but I've always had a subpar experience in terms of their sanitation. I'm not sure how this place is still open because I have seen flies around the fruit and vegetable section and some of the aisles are very disorganized. I'm not even sure when the floors were last cleaned. You'd also have a better experience if you can speak Vietnamese. They do have a to go food place in the store which I would not really recommend except for the crab or lobster. Another redeeming factor would be the fried fish from the seafood aisle. Anyways, I'd recommend just going to a different Asian supermarket. Get here early on the weekends to avoid the hassle of trying to find a parking space and to avoid crowds. I shop here for my seafood and the live Maine Lobsters - which they sell by pound. I think the prices vary but the priced I paid was $5.99 per pound. The market will cook the lobsters you purchase but I opted to take them home and cook them myself. The lobsters were so fresh and were still alive right before I cooked them that evening. I ended up cooking the 4.75 pounds into lobster garlic noodles which was yummy. I'll surely be returning here again for the fresh seafood and would recommend ABC Supermarket. read more

The Supermarket has kind of a fishy smell but that's ok if you like fish. I went for the live lobsters. Bought 3 x 3 1/3 Lb. bad boys to steam at home in a large steamer pot with little red potatoes and whole corn bought from Sprouts. Picked some fresh lemons off the neighbor's tree (they don't mind) and melted 1 1/2 sticks of salted butter. Reasonable price at $10.99 Lb. On a Saturday afternoon you do have to wait on line by the live tanks for the attendant to serve you which is fine. The larger lobsters like these have to be initially cracked on a cutting board with the back of a butchers square knife but after that you can work with nut crackers. I've always read that you're supposed to only steam lobsters for 15 minutes but I always allow 45 minutes. They came out delicious. ABC Market is a jewel in the rough. I was the only non-Vietnamese which is kind of fun. Everyone is very friendly. No attitudes. They are busy on weekends so you may have to drive around a bit to find a spot. Check out was no big deal. No worse than the Ralphs, Vons, Smart & Final etc. read more

We haven't been by this market for several years and I remember the last time there were tawashi brushes 棕刷 with handles. This time, there were like 4 of them left on the shelf. But these were the hemp fiber tawashi brush with handle, not the coconut fiber ones. So the hemp ones are much less stiff than the coconut fiber ones, and they don't last as long. However, this is the only one I found with a handle. So I got one. It's like $1.69 before tax. Not bad ! read more

I went here for my first time in 4th of July, and yes it was SUPER CROWDED. I purchased a few stone crabs and cooked lobster from this place. It was by far the best lobster I've ever tried, and well worth the wait time to have it cooked. In general this place had a very good variety, and the to go food looked very good too. Workers were nice. I think on a regular basis it might be a little less crowded, but I can't complain about crowdedness. In order to sell more variety, they need to sacrifice somewhere. Just be sure to wear your mask because it is sometimes difficult to keep good distance from others. I plan to return many times again, mainly for the lobster. Inside the market is a section for Vietnamese takeout that opens like at 8am for workers with an early shift and needs fooood. salt and pepper shrimp 5/5 (by lb) salt and pepper lobster 5/5 (by lb) Theres a seafood section within the market where you pick your live fish and have them literally de-head the fish in front of you, then fry it to perfection of your liking.. and I love this part! Whole fish for a fraction of the price. Lots and lots of Asian snacks and candies, you can find all the cheap Hennessy in this market too!! They give you gifts if you buy liquor on the right day, with sponsors standing around ~Poultry, I wouldn't recommend for I've seen flies INSIDE the meat windows and on top of that I've seen flies swarming in the back of the meat department where they keep their stock.. health violation!!! This is the number one place my family has to hit up every single time we're in Westminster. Lately we haven't gone because there's been a lot of robberies outside in the parking lots. Even though it's not really their problem that it's happening, they should definitely do something about it-- maybe with security or cameras, because it's preventing their customers from wanting to visit. This supermarket used to be extremely crowded, it was almost too difficult to find parking because there's a huge plaza with mini restaurants/ markets surrounding this supermarket. I'm from San Diego, so when in the area this is one of the markets we visit. Not everything here is a good deal, but some items are. For instances: jack fruit was 2 lbs for $1 which is a steal. We ended up buying one that was about 30 lbs, so $15 bucks! Not bad at all. The staff complimented on our choice of jack fruit and had a little conversation going, that was nice. Side note: An older woman was selling jackfruit on the streets for her price (originally bought from the market) and people were buying them because I guess they didn't know there was a sale inside? I agree with some comments here regarding the lobsters cooked at the restaurant inside the supermarket. I bought $140 lobsters and there was barely any meat! Only shells!!! I called the restaurant the lady picked up the phone said the manager/owner was not there. She blamed the meat was shrunk. Well even the lobsters are skinny or shrunk there must be meat come with it or drop to the bottom of the tray. There were in fact empty shells, meat was no where to be found. BEWARE !!! We bought 3 lobster alive and kicking cost $120. They offered to cook the lobsters for us at their food take out counter. When we brought home the cooked lobster tray, the lobsters had very little meat inside and the meat were not fresh, they have replaced our lobsters with the dead ones in their kitchen.
