I purchased my home on 10-18-16. Unfortunately, very shortly after my we moved in my wife went into hospice and died. I did not transfer my foundation warranty. I reached out to Advanced Foundation Repair and asked if they would allow me to transfer the warranty even though I was over a year past the deadline. Without argument they transferred the warranty. This is a compassionate family run company. I give them the highest possible recommendation. I had my foundation repaired 9/2/2010 they did a great job moving my plants, cutting the concrete even leveling my home. I started to see cracks in the wall about five years after. I waited a few years to see how bad it would get and it did get worst. This is the third time I have called them and they again tell me my foundation is doing what it is supposed to do. This last time I called they charged me $75 to come out with their machine and tell me the foundation is doing what it is supposed to do. They told me to water the foundation which I have a sprinkler system and I purchased several of those soakers and we have had a lot of rain. I'm unable to lock several of my doors which I don't feel safe, if it wasn't for the storm doors my wife and I would be fair game for the thieves. During the demo part of this project the company was all speed ahead. When the repair part of the project began the company went MIA. The engineer had unrealistic expectations and haulted the project for months. This project was projected to take 30 days, and it has been GROSSLY mismanaged, 18 MONTHS later and we have barely begun lift work on a handful of the buildings. hundreds of people have been displaced, this company even demanded more money, engineer quit mid project. Very bad service......and nightmares. Our foundation had a corner drop down 2" very low. The sales guy told us they will make everything flat. After putting 10 steel pillar, everything was no change. We complained they didn't finish their job as they promised, but they refused to do anything. After three years the corner and the wall they put pillar keep dropping down and make tons new crack of the house. The photos are all new crack after repair. Advanced was wonderful at the beginning of our process. We were very impressed how Bob Snyder came to measure and did not take the Engineers measurements. But after the first lift and the cosmetics fixed we noticed more cracks in different places appear. After many phone calls we finally got Bob back out and he agreed we needed another lift. Bob was no where to be found after the lift. He would not answer phone calls or return calls. We called the office and demanded on knowing the name and emails or numbers of owners that could help us. She said Bob was one of the owners. Bob finally called back and said he could not help us with our new cosmetic damages. These cracks were worse than the first ones and this is only one picture of many. Now we have been trying to call Bob and the office and no one will call us back. We believe if they would have raised it right the first time we wouldn't have these problems. The whole neighborhood is having a problem and in the beginning we were pleased with Bob so we recommended him. Three neighbors called him and he did not return their calls. They all went with another company and now we wish we would have too. Now we have a lawyer that will handle this for us. NEVER AGAIN! Evaluation done on a Friday. Several days later I hadn't gotten the report as promised. I contacted the representative and he said he went out of town and would have it the next week, After one week nothing. I had to have another evaluation by a reputable Foundation Repair Company and received the report within 2 hours. Still nothing from Advanced Foundation. If time is of the essence, this is NOT the company to use. If you can't get a report, not sure I would trust their work. BLOOMFIELD Homes uses this unreliable company.A second company was needed because I couldn't use a verbal reply from someone who said I would get a written report. I needed and was told I would get a written report which is usual. There was absolutely nothing I could do with the verbal reply 4 days later and 7 days later I still don't have it a written report. I spoke to the Bloomfield representative and he had not received it either. The proof is in the report. Update. Evaluation done on the 7th. Report received on the 18th. I used Advanced on my first house in Frisco that really needed help and they were efficient and able to work around the house where you did not even know they had installed all those piers. it was great. I recently asked them to inspect my house in McKinney after some concerns but was advised not to do anything. just recently my daughter bought a house and the inspection said it needed foundation work but J called Advanced and after an extensive examination they said none was needed. read more

My contractor recommended this company when I was remodeling. All went well. I called them two weeks ago to have them check the foundation due to cracks in walls and ceilings. Two men came out and inspected. A week went by. No bid. I called the office and they said they'd send an email to the inspector. No response so two days later I called back and got the inspector's cell phone number. Texted him. No response. Called the office today and was told the inspector is no longer with the company. Receptionist said she'd send a written request to customer service to have someone call me. Waited a few hours, called back and asked to speak to a manager, supervisor or the owner. They were all in a meeting so ... when customer service manager finally called, she told me the inspector who was no longer with the company had dropped off all his files and my paperwork was missing. Said she could send another inspector out and we could start all over. Told her NO, after seeing how poorly they run their business, I would not trust them to do a good job on my foundation. Unlike the other two foundation repair companies I called, they charge $75 to come out and give a bid. Used Advanced Foundation Repair to raise and level a small pier and beam house. They charged me $9500 and provided a warranty on the work. Turns out that they actually sent a subcontractor to do the work. The subcontractor team did not speak English but since I speak Spanish I found out that this particular subcontractor floats around among different companies as hired. Advanced sent me an email to ask about when a plumber and engineer could check the work. I replied that no plumber was required but they could send the engineer anytime. No one showed up from the Company to check the work. I had to call numerous times before they actually sent someone. That person claimed to be an engineer but he simply walked around the house, walked through the house (did not go under the house) and then left. The Company did not call me to confirm that the work was done properly. I had hired a framing crew to put up a new roof dependent on fixing the foundation first but before they started they checked the house and demonstrated to me that the house was not level. There was actually a 2 1/2 inch bump across the center of the house that was higher than the rest of the foundation. They also said that 1) the foundation work was incomplete for the following reasons: - front and back wall support beams were rotted - 3 of the supporting beams under the house had been cut half way through so the bearing weight was compromised 2) work done was incomplete as several piers under the house had a 2 inch gap from the beams so they were not actually supporting the house The latter items should have been recommended for correction during the proposed work (with extra cost) or done properly but this demonstrates that the initial work recommended was improperly assessed and improperly reviewed when completed. I have been calling Advanced Foundation Repair repeatedly asking for them to make good on their warranty and level the house which is what I had paid them for. Their receptionists have told me that they will make an appointment to "assess" the situation, and more recently that they would call me "right back" but no one ever calls. I have told them on numerous occasions that I need them to level the house so the framers could start the roof and that if they did not come soon I would lose the framing crew but they have not called me. I have asked to speak to the manager or the owner but no luck. Final review for Advanced Foundation Repair: - inability to assess corrective work required in initial recommendation - poor customer service - failure to honor warranty Please learn from my mistake. Advanced Foundation Repair (through the subcontractor) insisted that I make payment in full before they left. They have my money and I have no leverage. I would never pay this type of Company in the future 100% until they can actually demonstrate to me that the work had been done properly and that my house was level. I had to pay another party to fix the noted issues and level my house so as to not lose the framing crew. I rate these guys ZERO stars. read more

They charged a lot of money. The contractor did a good job. They fixed problems I did not know I had. They ignored the issues I placed the call for. They have refused to send anyone out to look at my problems. When I asked for someone to respond I was referred back to the estimator by the owner. All I got from the estimator was short term memory and threats and I was told I was trying to avoid the final payment. All I wanted was Customer Service, something apparently foreign to this company. We hired Advanced to install interior and exterior piers at our house...the job was $10,000. We gave Advanced $5000 before they started, after they finished they asked for the balance. I told them I thought the interior piers were sloppy and asked them to repour the concrete that covers the new holes. I told them once they do this I will pay the balance...Advanced agreed to my terms. Advanced to 6 months to get it corrected...they did half about one month after I told them I was dissatisfied and the other half a month later. During this process they filed a lien on my house. Once they finally corrected their sloppy work I told them they need to remove the lien when I pay them the $5000 balance...they told me I now have to pay $500 of legal fees. Moral of the story...be prepared for them to file a lien midway through the project and hit you with legal fees. read more

The absolute worst for warranty work (even when it's not under warranty) We did not choose this company but did foundation work through our builder and everytime I have to deal with them it's absolutely the worst! We have a sump pump that always gives us trouble....They never call you back, they lie about calling you back when they say they will.... Took over 3 weeks to get an appointment ( still didn't have one when called to cancel) when I was told there was only one other person on the list just doesn't make sense why it take so long and why the lack of communication. I only pray I never have foundation issues that is under warranty because I dread having to deal with this company again!! This company was the worst nightmare ever and still continues. They were hired by the warranty company to fix my foundation and have made this the worst experience. From pipes busting and left unfixed for days to dealing with black mold currently. To demanding payment for their poor work and poor communication. During the freeze my pipes were left bare unprotected. Well they busted and me and my family were left without water for 5 days. I was told they would get to my house when they could because they were responding to emergencies. As this was not an emergency. My flower bed was left a mess and rebar was left sticking out. My stairs were left leaning and still left and fence leaning and unstable. I was told it's all part of the incidentals. Holes in my laundry room with black mold found inside and on my half bath. Rotting floor boards. I wish I would have been able to choose the company. When I had no water I was advised to find a place to stay and they would reimburse me. They have yet to contact me about this and demand payment or they would place a lien on my house. Yet they have yet to deduct for the rooms I had to rent, gas expenses, food and toiletries. These people are so incredibly hard to get in touch with, or really, to have them actually give you a call back. We have a lifetime warranty for work they did on our home's foundation, started experiencing continued issues last April and had them come out to inspect things. After that consultation, a Mr. Frank Check informed us that our home's master bedroom had actually risen 3 inches and advised us call a plumber to see if there was a leak that was causing it. Even though that sounded like a stretch, we obliged and called a plumber who relayed that there were no leaks anywhere. We gave Advanced a call back and Mr. Check said he would talk with his boss about next steps and would get back to us - that never happened. I have since called back asking for assistance, and each time I am told that they will reach out but they never do. I would absolutely not recommend this company. read more

Our builder hired this company to lift our home after extensive foundation damage. Their communication is absolutely horrible. They will promise to call you back in a few minutes and then never call you back (Beatrice and others). It is 4 months after our house has been lifted with piers and we have no warranty from them whatsoever. They also installed a sump pump and we have no warranty information about that either. We have also been asking for documentation of the work done on our house for over 2 months to turn in at our tax hearing tomorrow and as of today we have nothing from them. Run don't walk this company is so unprofessional it's unbelievable. The builder gave their permission for all of this information to be released so this is nothing short of negligence on their part not to get the information to us. We have made over 10 phone calls and emails requesting this information. The owner of the company met with us personally and talks a good game but don't trust them. Update*** Advanced contracted a cable company and the repairs were completed today. I am upgrading them to 4 stars for making it right. I've used Advanced Foundation Repair for 2 houses, and the repairs were fine - so I'll give them a couple of stars for that. Service after the sale, however, is non-existent. On the 2nd house they left a hole with a thick cable sticking out. Today marks 2 years since the foundation work and after numerous calls, emails & voicemails I'm still not getting a response. The cable is now rusty and I'm concerned about the hole in the foundation. I guess since they've been paid they don't feel like they need to come back and finish the job. Buyer beware. Advanced Foundation Repair did a review of our foundation issues and recommended a $4,000+ fix. They did the work in July 2022. We had an independent structure engineer inspect their work. The independent said the issues were not fixed and recommended the additional work needed. I contacted Advanced Foundation by phone and left detailed messages and a request to discuss next steps. We received no communication from them (no text, email, phone call, voice message, paper letter) We located another foundation company to complete the work. Just this week I received a letter from an attorney stating AFRepair had placed a lien on our property with hundreds of dollars of additional fees. We paid a premium for them to dig tunnels and not go through our foundation or patio, we came home to them jack hammering our custom faux concrete topped patio!! The repair is very noticeable and need to be fixed...We get flooded tunnels under our house every time it rains without ventilation to keep out Black Mold! The water pump has failed and had to be replaced multiple times... we still have broken pipes from the foundation lift/repair! They said they will not fix them.... Stay away! WOW, just when you thought there we no HONEST service providers any more! I was referred to Bob Snyder and Advanced Foundation Repair by a friend who raved about him, and how I see why. He spent an hour meticulously analyzing our home and then about 20 minutes taking us through his analysis and while it would have been very easy for him to sell us repairs we didn't need, he was fully honest and told us we didn't need anything at this time. While I did not hire this company, I had a huge problem with a home that had a recent foundation repair from another company. Since it was a bit of an unusual problem and I couldn't get the original company to respond in any kind of responsible manner because "they didn't know what the problem was", I contacted Bob with Advanced Foundation Repair. He took about half an hour on the phone with me to understand the situation I was dealing with and provide some insight into the problem. This enabled me to begin to move in a particular direction in order to try to attend to the problem. Again, I was not a customer and did not pay for this advice (even though I offered) Bob was glad to talk with me and provide information and education that was helpful and directive. We met Fred and Bob at a project where we were doing a mutli room renovation. The customer had some foundation issues and brought in Advance Foundation Repairs. They identified the issue, put together a complex plan and executed it superbly. We needed to coordinate some of our efforts with them and Bob was great to work with. He was professional, thorough and most of all communicated extremely well with us. Which as you might expect is a key item when working in a customers home. Advanced came out on behalf of my home builder to assess my foundation. The foundation guy I hired confirmed there was an issue while Advanced claimed they needed to wait and see. After several months, Advanced returned and suggested my house needed over 50 piers. The work was completed in about 3 weeks from start to finish. The problem is when they're done your trees and shrubs they removed are dead, your grass is trampled, and your yard is wrecked. I also have several shotty patches in my garage where covered their access holes; the patched areas are not level with the rest of garage floor. In my case I'm lucky because the home builder paid to have the lawn repaired and *eventually* I'll get reimbursed by the home builder to fix everything else. read more

We noticed cracks in the walls and nails starting to become uncovered. We called Advanced to get an estimate. They were very professional and the estimate seemed reasonable. If you need foundation repair, be sure to have a structural engineer assess your home instead of a sham sales person. Advanced Foundation sent Dan Brown (the engineer, not the author) to determine what needed to be done when our house was doing the "Texas Shifty-Sand Dance" a few years ago. He was honest and upfront about what needed to be done, and we felt confident that he was leading us in the correct direction. Advanced Foundation Repair has been around for a century, so they are not a fly by night company. They are insured, part of the BBB and endorsed by Troy Aikman (that is really all anyone needs to know right there!). This company has received awards for Business Excellence. I personally liked the transferable warranty. The work on our house was done quickly and with minimal disruption. I could not be more pleased. read more

Advanced Foundation Repair is easy to work with when they are taking your money, but don't expect anything after that. I had warranty claim for foundation sinking between 4 of their piers. The company will do anything to not have to do any repairs for their customers. They told me that the whole rest of my house heaved up except for the 15 square feet where my foundation had collasped. I think they are dishonest in their statements about warranting their work. Save yourself a lot of grief and use someone else. read more

Advanced Foundation assessed my mother's home in Amarillo. They did 21 piers on the home--some of them required going through the concrete walkway which went completely around the house and the patio. They did an excellent job. The house is very stable. Cracks in walls closed up, doors that wouldn't close are now in alignment. I also had a plumbing test done which shows no leaks and good pressure. Since they did my mother's home, when I had a problem in Fort Worth, I called them again. They said I didn't have a foundation problem. That I had a drought problem and needed a watering program which they explained to me. Told me to check back in 3 months. With watering everything corrected itself. Feels like a scam. The previous owner of our house used this service and declared that it had a 'lifetime transferable warranty'. Unfortunately, the small print on that is incredible. As the new owner, I wanted to have someone check possible cracks (no way of validating if they do good work, I guess!) but I found out that unless you notify them that there is a new owner within 30 days of buying the house, the warranty is void. Soooo, a new homeowner, with all the stress of moving, is going to know to read all the fine print of a legal agreement. I get it, they protected themselves legally, but really, they created the concept of 'lifetime transferable warranty' to sell sell sell, knowing full well that with the amount of houses that change hands, chances are that vast majority of people will NOT call to update a name in a database (because THAT really impacts the quality of the work), and so therefore they have an unlimited ability to keep pouncing on the same property over an over again, even though it had a 'lifetime transferable' warranty. Shame on you for preying on people. A really company would stand by their work, not hide behind legalese because they are scared of a database name change. Based on that, I fear they really can't back up their work. read more

I would give a negative if I could. After a year of emails and arguing back and forth, still nothing good from them. The manager came out and measured my house again and verified that it was dropped in the front. He said he had to take the readings back to the office and let me know. After a week and a couple more emails he replied that my house drop doesn't meet the criteria, for warranty repair. So the split in my wood floor is a permanent thing I guess, cause it doesn't meet their criteria, that is no where to be found. The warranty does not have any criteria, or restrictions. I simply states that if there is a failure, or sinking of the piers, they would fix it free under the warranty. Advanced just finished lifting the entire front of our 8 year old house and I got to say ,,,,, what a professional job they did. They were very much to details and especially careful of my lawn with the dirt they took out to get under the foundation. They put down sheets of plywood board to shovel the dirt on so not to mess us the grass. And the clean up was OUTSTANDING. I used Advanced Foundation Repair about 10 years ago and they did work around a room addition and along the south side and part of the west side of my house. Over the past couple of years cracks began appearing in walls as is usual due to our shifting Texas soil. I thought the room addition piers were failing as the doorway into that room was actually tilting and cracks were appearing around the door frame. I contacted Advanced Foundation and told them I thought I needed warranty work. Their engineer came and did his measurements and the resulting paperwork said no failing piers and I needed to add 3 additional piers on the west side. Not comfortable with the report I mentioned this to a friend who suggested I talk with another mutual friend who had recently had foundation work by another company. Both of these friends had used Advanced Foundation in the past and both assured me that Advanced would not honor warranty work. I went with another foundation company and had them do work around the entire house, including the necessity of putting in two piers INSIDE the room addition. In some fairness to Advanced, the piers around the outside of the room addition are OK, but 3 piers on the south side of the house were failing, which the Advanced Foundation engineer never mentioned. As stated in my previous review your organization isn't to be trusted, and bullies your customers. You have no emails warning me of destroying my floors in their entirety, no details from my home warranty about any settlement, and no wiggle room out of my review. Instead of defending your ludicrous accusations, I will allow the other reviews highlighting similar phenomenon to stand on their own. I'm only giving them a one star review bc it isn't possible to give zero stars. They do poor work and then refuse to stand behind their work. They will not honor their "lifetime warranty" for the poor work that they did only a few years ago.
