Michael came out to my house and walked me through the pros and cons of a heat pump HVAC. For my home, the extra money made no sense. I really do not need central AC. We then talked about a new Carrier, high-efficency furnace. That was exactly what I needed. I also opted for the Ecobee Smart, wi-fi enabled thermostat. I am extremely happy with everything. The price was right. The installation was flawless. The post-intall QA walkghrough, by Johnny, went really well. ThenI worked with the folks that checked all the boxes post-intalleation. HERS test was easy with a pass.. Today, we passed the inspection, in under 5 minute. Every person I dealt with was amiable and professiona. The office staff always very nice. Michael Calvey was a joy to talk to. Thank you to Johnny, the project manager, and the folks from HOPSTER that facilitated the post-installation test and inspectioin. I had one contractor come through and give me a quote of $500. That's ridiculous man. No way, so amongst the other contractors that responded to the quote request, Irbis was one of them and I reached out to them and they got a person to us the next day. Jonathan was super friendly and knowledgeable. He immediately diagnosed what the issue was. It was a burnt out fuse. Or so we thought....he looked deeper and found that there was actually a short going on. He correctly set our wiring and the hvac came to life. I love that he really made sure that the job was properly done. He kept testing the thermostat and system until he was sure that we would be okay and there would not need a follow up visit.
