First of all I want to express how thankful I am for The Rock Movers…read more Being a full-service moving company, I needed someone to help me pack AND move due to a recent injury crippling me right before I was scheduled to move. Their reliability and ease of setting up the packing and move when I was not even able to be present and the timing was truly helpful. It was more expensive than I had ever paid for movers, even without the packing, and that's honestly why I could not give them full 5 stars. As a military member going through an honorable discharge to help my family in crisis while already injured myself, I had to empty out my own savings and my children's I had saved up over a 9-month deployment in the combat zone to move back to my family when they needed my help, not even sure if I could then provide for them. So while I really thank them for the job they did, I never financially recovered from that and I do ask Rock Movers to consider the vets or military members in San Diego and to complete a weight estimate for them to be reimbursed.

Booked 24/7 to do the work. They showed up on the scheduled day about 8:30 am and we did a walk thru, showing them what was going and what was not. moving from a 4 bdrm to a 2 bdrm takes some downsizing. They started right in, wrapping, filling boxes and moving them out to the truck. Taking apart the furniture that needed it and moving it out to the truck. They are definitely good at their job. It took them till 10:30 at night to get it all packed and stowed in the truck. They were prompt on delivery day too. Showed up at 9 am . started unloading and putting together furniture and placing it where requested. Took till 4pm before they were finished with their part of unpacking . Great job! I highly recommend this company. They are prompt, polite and very good at their job.

Jeremiah's communication heading into the move was excellent and Mike and his team arrived right in the window they said they would. As soon as I gave them the rundown of the place, they wasted ZERO time and got straight to work - all the way until the last item was carried into the new place. Heading into this move, I was worried about taking apart our bed frames and putting them back together. Mission Movers took care of it at no extra cost. But the biggest thing for me is how friendly and HONEST the team was. One of my dining chairs was already cracked before the move and they approached me and apologized for thinking they did it. That small gesture went a long way for me and I know they were going to find a solution even if it was their fault. They also could've charged me for a full 4 hours but charged me to the exact minute they worked at 3.75 hours. The weight that I got at home was about 12 pounds of aluminum. When they waited at the recycling center, it weighed at 8.5 pounds. They put all of the lighter weight recycling things like plastic bottles, and aluminum cans in these lightweight plastic mesh baskets. The glass bottles, however, are put in a thick plastic trashcan. The scale is zeroed out for the heavy trashcan. Therefore, the only thing that is measured accurately is the glass bottles, which aren't worth that much. The things that are worth more, such as the aluminum cans, show up as much less weight because the scale is off.

For the first time, I didn't have to provide any guidance. He and his crew arrived early and just went to work. When he was done, I did ask why a few things weren't trimmed, and for each he had an answer that made sense. Most importantly, I didn't have to ask him and go back and pull weeds that still remained or cut other things that should have been cut. On top of that, he trimmed my trees (small lemon and olive trees) way more than any other gardener before me, without my asking! Needless to say, if you are looking for an expert gardening service for regular maintenance, Angel is your man!

If I could give negative stars I would. We have always used QShark Moving company and they are the most trustworthy movers. They were booked when we needed to move so I went on yelp to find another trustworthy mover. There were so many wonderful reviews so I didn't hesitate. This move was the most stressful move ever thanks to Nomad movers. I was hopeful at first when they showed up on time. I had packed everything and it was ready for them to just haul everything away. They were unloading it to a storage unit while our house was getting prepped for us to move in a few days later. 14 hours with 3 guys!!!! We ran a few errands and had to check in to our hotel while they were moving and when we came back a few hours later it didn't look like they had made any progress. When they were unloading at starve facility they were gone for over 4 hours which didn't make sense to me. My husband was so pissed but I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. I was shocked with the total but we paid. When it came to the day of us moving into our house they were supposed to show up with a full truck that they were supposed to start loading that morning. They pull up after 11 and they unload 3 tvs, a table, 2 mattresses, some painting and my toddlers kitchen set. WTF! That took a few hours to load??! At that point any shred of trust went out the window. I called the manager and complained. They deducted 3 hours. Which I was thankful for but I had the absolute worst feeling. They were gone for over 3 hours loading the truck with everything else from storage unit and this time we didn't go anywhere we wanted to watch them. They had an attitude the rest of the move because of my talk with manager and after we paid they pretty much force you with them standing right there over you to post a positive review for them so they can "win a contest." Which makes sense why there were so many reviews. So it's after 6 now and we are finally able to start unpacking. They had loaded our fragile marked boxes at the bottom of all the stacked boxes!!I had broken glasses and bottles. They broke our bed frame putting it back together. Then around 11pm my husband noticed his CBD pen was missing. He had left it on one of the bathroom counters. He immediately said he thought they took it. I dismissed that thought thinking no way would someone steal it. We searched high and low and it was no where to be found. He was furious and called the head guy that was running the crew and the manager. Everyone played like they had no idea what we were talking about. My husband told them to bring it back within the hour and at almost midnight he knocks on our door and gave it back apologizing for what they did. We were in absolute shock that they would take something from our house and I immediately felt taken advantage of on all the hours they claimed they worked when we weren't there to see. I want to thank AFD movers for the two strong men, Tushig and Gegee, that you sent out to help me, with the what I felt was an overwhelming move. As I searched online for a reputable company with positive reviews, AFD stood out. I called and spoke to Sean about what I needed, even help with the packing this time. He patiently took an inventory over the phone of what I had to move. Then I was given an estimate with a discount, and we set the date. I called with questions or notification, a couple of times before my scheduled moving date. I always received courteous response. in addition I received a couple reminder emails ahead of the date to reassure me, my date had not been overlooked. However, there was still anticipation, as to whether the one's assigned to actually move me on the big day, we're going to get the job done with consideration and efficiency? Tushig and Geiger did not disappoint! They were communicative and worked tirelessl, making the heavy lifting look easy. Upon arriving at my destination with all my things, and nothing damaged, they carefully placed everything where I wanted, and if I was unsure, they gave an experienced suggestion that made sense. They were asking me, after re-assembling all my furniture, did I want them to change anything around or do anything else before they left. I won't bury the lead here: hire AFD Movers. They were punctual. Professional. Respectful. Hardworking. Everything you could ask for on a typically stressful day. Nick was extremely responsive and helped answered all our questions. It was a last-minute move from OC to LA with some time restrictions. We entrusted him, and he delivered. Dos and the crew of three movers did an excellent job. They arrived right on time, ready to work. Great attitude and work ethic. We did our part by not allowing them to walk into a hectic mess. (I can't even imagine some of the disaster scenes these hard working folks find themselves in.) Home Depot bins were pre-labeled and stacked. Furniture was tagged with which room it would go in. After multiple moves over the years, upfront organization will give you the most chance of success. And with the right crew like AFD, you should have a very smooth move day like we did. On August 27, 2020, Oscar and Rocky from Nomad Moving and Delivery moved my son's one bedroom apartment to a storage unit. The apartment was located on the third floor of a building without elevators; the storage unit, about six miles away, was on the second floor with access to freight elevators. They called me when they were on their way and they arrived on time. They wore masks. They both were polite and worked without interruptions. They wrapped what needed to be wrapped and handled the furniture and moving boxes with care. I was surprised and very pleased that they completed the move in under three hours (the minimum is three hours). I noticed that the truck looked like new and the blanket were clean. We used AFD for a recent local move and I couldn't say better things. From the booming to the move, everything was so easy and seamless. There's no hidden fees and everything is laid out very clearly. They contacted us the morning of our move and let us know they were ahead of schedule so we were able to begin our move earlier which was great. They assigned 3 movers even though you pay hourly so they were very efficient even though they could have easily tried to take longer for more money. I really appreciated that. We just had a very long day with this amazing moving company. We live in the Costa Mesa Verde area and we're moving about 10 minutes down the street today on Sunday, August 18! Yikes!! 7 1/2 hours of extreme strenuous work. They actually had to go to two different locations to drop off all of our stuff. The three gentlemen that were here were polite, respectful with all of our things and so kind.. If you are looking for genuinely amazing movers, I highly advise you choose AFD Movers! Based on reviews and being Google Verified, I decided to hire AFD Movers for my move. The scheduled arrival time was between 10:00am and noon. The movers, Alex and Anthony arrived at 10:00. Prior to arriving, I was kept informed of the anticipated arrival time. Alex and Anthony were very personable and all through the moving process made sure my expectations were being met. They were very efficient and made sure each piece of furniture was wrapped and protected. Nothing was broken or damaged. The disassembly and reassembling of my king bed was done without a hitch. Prompt, quiet, polite, efficient, and unbelievably ingenious leaving about 2/3 of a storage unit FREE because they packed and wrapped the items so carefully. They saved me a LOT of money because they got 2 storage units worth of stuff into 1/3 of one unit! They did a smooth job with everything from bulky rocking chairs to recliners to a dining room set, packing books, papers, valuables, and rolling everything down two very sharp brick stairs of a huge house without chipping the bricks, making noise, or damaging anything. I honestly still wasn't 100% sold as I wanted a more concrete rate that I would be paying and not put in a situation where any movers knowing it's an hourly rate past the required 3 hours could take advantage of the situation and take longer to get more money. I fully understand it's nearly impossible to determine how long a move will take but I think most still want some sense of security that it'll only cost "xyz" amount. This isn't a comment specific to Prime Moving but the moving industry as a whole from what I experienced.
