That being said, the owners baby crying in the background the entire time, and the rude waitress we had completely killed my wife and I's entire experience, top it off with high prices and that's perfect imperfection, beware the hypernatremia causing crab Rangoon. I have been in search of halfway decent Chinese food since moving to Seattle from D.C. I was attracted here because someone else stated they haven't had good orange chicken since living on the east coast, and this was the place to go. They also claimed they used to live near award winning culinary schools. So was it worth the trip??? Well 1st I will say the sushi is decent but extremely pricey. The meals are also slightly high, even for Alaska. And $3 for fried rice??I almost skipped the Miso Soup because let's face it, Miso sucks. Well their Miso was actually really good! Like the best I've ever had (I've been to Japan, and lived in Asia). So was the orange chicken worth it??? The sauce was ok, but the chicken tasted old, tough, and was dark meat. Yuck!!!! Had the dolsot bibimbop with no meat. It was pretty good and I'd definitely go back to satisfy a craving. The place looks newly remodeled and the dining area was nice with a lot of good seating. Went for lunch and service was quick. Had the pho and general tsos chicken. The pho they gave very good portions and the chicken was okay. I would recommend the bulgogi tacos too which get really good reviews and the flavor of the meat is good. read more

The food was amazing, but we almost do not go because of the horrible service. This has always been a favorite of ours, but the one lady there seems to not want to serve us at all. We sat down, she gave us out menus and just walked away. Our cups never got refilled and a family who came a few minutes after us got served and also was taken their order promptly. We waited another 15 minutes before I had to go up and asked to be taken our order. The next time we went, she again gave us our menu and took our order, then preceded to disappear and not come back. The food quickly came out but she was no where to be found. I then had to ask to refill my cup and she was so upset that she spilled water and was even more upset then slammed my cup in front of me. I cleaned up her spill. This restaurant has amazing food but I wil never go back as long as she is there. read more

Delicious! We heard through the grapevine that this place was awesome and decided to check it out today. We split the Szechuan garlic butter wings, which were so flavorful and extra extra crispy. I had the Nine Flavor Chicken, which was chicken in a caramel colored peanut type sauce with just a hint of heat. I would definitely order it again. We have dined here on numerous occasions. This time (4/5/19) ordered the same menu item (kimbap) only to find that the sea weed was stale, rice was hard and was nothing compared to the (kimbap) ordered approximately two weeks earlier. What really came as a shock was when we received the bill. The total bill should've been $42. But, instead the amount billed was $442. I brought the error to the attention of the owner. She was seemingly casual about the gross error on her part. My gut feeling was that it was a deliberate attempt to overcharge. Very disappointed. read more

For a saturday it was busy so i can understand if service was a little slow, but why would you only hae one person serving food and behind the register. food was excellent but I ordered a wine and had to remind the server to get it once the food arrived. Also, i waited for my plate to arrive 10 minutes after the first plate got there and we had to take silverware from another table. While we were here, another couple arrived and sat at the table for abou 10-15 minutes with no service then just left. I probably won't come back. read more

Mediocre Korean food, not cheap, not generous portions. It adds up to 2 stars for me, although I wavered over dishing out 3 stars. It's Alaska, after all, right? But I had too much legit Korean food in Alaska (who'd a thunk it?). Plus Aha's got plenty of Yelp fans. So, I decided to go "realismo" and say it like it is. At best, the Korean is inauthentic and underwhelming. At worst, it's sort of scammy how they take Korean cuisine and seem to target the unknowing customer. The owner is Korean, so I can only imagine what they do to their Japanese and Vietnamese food offerings. They do have a nice location off the highway, and they apparently mix a great drink, so I imagine this place gets plenty of people zipping in for a stiff one. The food was excellent. I had the chicken Bulgogi tacos. The service? Not so much. The server looked as if it were a major chore to serve me. It took a good 5 minutes to get a menu, another 10 to get my order taken, included soup wasn't served until asked for, no spoon in provided silverware. But, again, I have to say the food was excellent. 5/5 for the food, 1/5 for the service. 2015 Update: I gave Aha another try this year. The server appears to have taken a class, same server, but there wasn't as much scowling, and she appeared to want to serve me. The food is still very good. Overall, the best asian restaurant in town. Sushi is second best to fushimi, pho is second to pho house, and Chinese is best I have seen but this is the only place to get all of these. Korean is on par with any place in fairbanks. My go to place especially in a group that cannot choose just one style of food. read more

We just went there and ordered bunch of food , one of my friend order salmon hand roll , and she didn't like it . We told the server that it was not good and she agree to take it out of our check . But sushi chef , whose name is jay came rushing and said I just made that with my hand and you are going to pay for it. Never going back there again . We are done .
