I LOVE THIS PLACE! The fish is fresh and tasty and they have so many options, especially for me. I have a severe gluten allergy (Celiac's Disease) and I have to be very careful about eating out. I couldn't decide between Ahipoki or Ono which is next door so I'm very glad I let my feet walk in Ahipoki. The people in front of me were taking forever! The wife kept asking her husband want he wanted but he was talking away on the phone...finally Esther took control of the situation because while she was making their order the line was getting longer because it's the lunch time rush. I noticed how quickly she kicked it into gear. I really appreciated her doing so to get to my order quicker. I'm on a lunch and only get 30 mins... Walked in and the scent of clean hit me, I am a neat freak myself so that smell is pleasant. This particular branch was spotless! The menu is easy to understand, I chose greens with octopus, spicy tuna, two scoops of crab 0.75 for extra scoop of crab and $1 for avocado. Came out to around $14.76 with Thai tea. The food is delicious and healthy (if you avoid mayo and rice). I dined in and the Young Lady working came and asked everyone if the food was good, I was delightfully impressed. Great customer service from this young lady Tuesday night, I hope she gets recognition. All together, this was a great place for a quick healthy meal. read more

So I've been meaning to leave a review for this poke place and unfortunately I forget to do it. This time I told myself I wouldn't forget due to the great service we always receive from Joey. We have been to other poke places in the area and this one is the freshest by far. Their fish selection is always fresh and the sauce selections are very tasty. On several occasions we have had the pleasure of being assisted by Joey and have been grateful for his attentiveness and courteous demeanor while assisting us. I had their 2 scoop meal that comprised of octopus and tuna over salad and thai tea. The octopus was small and thinly sliced not marinated. The sauces they had was good but the thai tea was toooooooooooo sweet . This place was not bad but lacked in options that you can add to your meal than another place i visited . I was craving something healthy but filling for dinner so I decided to try Ahipoki due to the high ratings on yelp. I ordered a regular size bowl (2 scoops) with brown rice, spicy tuna and salmon which came to just under $10. I'm giving this place 3 stars due to the very small portions. I've tried other poki places and for that price a regular is usually much larger and comes with 3 generous scoops not 2 and toppings are very generous. The flavor is okay, but the spicy tuna tasted a bit off and the scoops and toppings are not as generous as other places. Seeing as I'm trying to find a poki spot in the area that's "my spot" I'll check out some other places. I'm really not sure where all the awesome rating are coming from, but there are better poki places. read more

I've been going to Ahipoki since they opened. Everything always tasted great. Never had any problem. Their poke bowls and the burrito tasted amazing everything. Their Shushirrito (I think that's how spelled) is my favorite. All their sauces taste very good too. They have some great specialty drinks there. The reason I'm giving a 3 star bow instead of 5 is because this time I truly feel like I got robbed. I really should've just left instead of paying for my meal. I ordered a large size today. When I was about to pay I noticed it's the regular size bowl. I asked, and they said right now it's the regular bowl only an additional scoop. Umm over $2 extra for a large bowl and only difference is a tiny scoop? I didn't question it even though felt very WRONG. In my way leaving I saw a few other customers with a large size bowl for the large size. Not sure what happened right there. If I go back, I'll definitely not order the large anymore and if I crave a large size, I'll go else where. Very wrong what happened. read more

I want to start off by saying that I eat poki on a weekly basis. I've tried many different poki joints and this one was disappointing. First thing I noticed was their pricing, it's unusually high from my experience. Their regular bowl (2 scoops) is $9.75 and their large (3 scoops) is $11.95. This wouldn't have been so bad if they weren't so stingy with their toppings. Another disappointment was that they use regular white rice, not sushi/sticky rice, so it was almost too hard and it ruined my meal. This place is AMAZING. Very fairly priced for what you get. I think the half salad and rice combo will get you the most bang for your buck. I got a small half brown rice and salad bowl. With the small, you get 2 options of fish - I chose the fish that was already mixed with sauce, which also seemed really popular as I got the last scoops of each. I believe it was the Tuna Luau (which had avocado mixed in with it so you don't have to pay $1 extra, albeit not as much tuna or avocado as you would normally get from ordering both separately). I also had the blazing salmon! I highly recommend these two as they are unique to this store! They have so many options for toppings, it's ridiculous. Everything is fresh and high quality. I really enjoyed my visit here on the way to Vegas. Also, service was impeccable. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and also as we left. This is the 2nd poke place I've visited and like a normal person, I have to compare it to the 1st place that I was turned on to. And I have to say the number one thing that turned me off was the pricing. They had no shrimp so I got double salmon because I'm picky when it comes to fish. This place doesn't offer cream cheese either which was also a disappointment because for me cream cheese has a tendency of bringing everything together. Ultimately my bowel was still pretty good but for that price I could've drove to Rancho to my spot and got a meal with a drink. I also got super excited that they had spam musubi. The only other place I've tried it was in Los Angeles, so I decided to order some. Very sad. Granted they are huge but nothing like LA. But they're still good. Whoa. What's with all the negative attitude and reviews. I laugh when people say its not tasty and lacked flavor.... it's because you ordered it like that. It's poke and to your liking. I'm a poke fan. I'm happy I found this place because I customize it to my liking and never disappointed. The fish has always been fresh for me, the sides are great and the sauces too. Love the fresh salad that isn't wilted. I frequent here all the time. It's the only place in a radius of Rancho, Upland and Ontario I will drive to. With that said there are.... some changes that I'd like to point out that I did see in some other reviews and witnessed for myself. 1. Ask if this is enough sauce or make sauce recommendations. 2. Educate staff about poke and the different ways you can make it. 3. It's ok that you are different and its totally not traditional, however, do change the tongs out with each customer. Customer's can have allergies to certain things and you don't want an issue with that. 4. Offer cilantro... just for me please. 5. Staff need to be taught better sanitary methods. They can't touch surfaces, then go straight into the food. Meaning I personally witnessed a staff member with a glove on, pat another staff member on the back, telling them, I got this customer and then proceed to used the same hand to mix the food. Not good. Just a side note, yes its pricey. Have you bought fish in the IE? It's expensive regardless, so don't knock establishments down for the price of fish. If you want cheaper fish go coastal. Just saying, be reasonable with your reviews. read more

I am a picky eater and I like this place because you can make your own bowls. Nothing like I've ever had but I love Asian food so I though I'd give it a shot. You can pick rice or salad or both. Found this Poke place while exploring the area :] It is so delicious! I love the kelp noodle options that most poke places don't have! It doesn't matter who serves us....Kelley, Vanessa, Genesis and Jenna are awesome! Always smiling and fixing our bowls exactly how we want them. From the time that I initially made my review, I must say that I have become very disappointed with Ahipoki and after tonight, will not be going back. I have found that the serving sizes really depend on who serves you. It's so inconsistent. I guess if you go by what the serving sizes are supposed to be, they are very small, especially for the price. Tonight I ate dinner here and without a drink the total was nearly $15. At the time of my review, I had no other poki places, in the areas, to compare to and thought this place was amazing. However, ever since they made a poki place in the mall, that has been my go to place for poki. The serving sizes are huge and fresh, and the price is more adorable.
