The line was decent. The worker as a little impatient and on her phone. It was my first time, I know how pokebowls work but was scoping out the menu. The fish was ok in terms of freshness. We got the salad with salmon, spicy tuna and masago among other toppings (Don't worry: we didn't forget the wasabi) with the garlic soy mirin on the side. The salmon was fresh (no fishy-ness) even though it was close to closing time, but the imitation crab was a little off for some reason. Even the spicy tuna was fresh (not masked by too much spice). Also, the seaweed salad was perfect and the miso soup was just right (not too salty or bland). Overall, the food is really good here! Definitely would recommend anyone who enjoys poke to come here! For the drinks, the guava and tropical juices were WAAYYY too sweet BUT the Thai tea was great!! My Thai friend tried it and said it was okay and not great (high standards, understandably), but the rest of us thought it was yummy. Service was fast and easy, Vanessa was also very sweet! I've tried quite a few poke places around Upland and when this first opened I was pleasantly surprised with some of the unique selections they had here ex. Unagi bowl and tamago sides. The last time I came I had a decent portion of their unagi bowl but now it's just 2 measly pieces of unagi for $11.50!! I am not happy how the portion sizes changed so drastically for this. The restaurant is new, and looks nice inside. The price for a large bowl is around $12, but it only comes with 3 scoops of fish. My go-to spot is PokiCraze in City of Industry, and they have a large for about the same price but 5 scoops of fish. Aside from the price/value, the first thing that threw me was they served our "bowls" in a flat and rectangle container, with my half brown rice/half salad mixture separated. AhiPoki had a few different fish options, but really the shrimp ones didn't look all that fresh, so I opted for the octopus, salmon, and tuna. To be fair, the quality of those options was good, and their sauce variety was solid. The other thing that was wonky was they charged an extra fee for getting yellowtail, avocado, or another scoop of artificial crab. Really? The overpriced bowl itself didn't leave enough margin for you to include all the toppings in the cost? We really wanted to like this place since the next closest poke joint is up in Claremont, but honestly we won't be coming back. read more

Well,popped my Poki cherry tonite. Had to see and taste this semi-new craze sweeping the area. Thanks to my $2 off coupon,I came prepared to chow down. First, let me start by saying the food was great. The spicy crab was amazing. I came to Ahipoki Sunday 11.10.19, I ordered my food to go. The Server was pleasant, he neglected to offer any wasabi or ginger with my bowl. Not mention, I wasn't directed to napkins and flatware. So, my boyfriend and I went in last night (Saturday Night) to grab some poke to go. Went in around 20 mins before they close. I've been here before and have had great customer service, but I wanted to come in and update my previous review. We had the best customer service from the sweetest ladies Jenna, Kelly, Genesis, and Ventura! They deserve their own personal review! Despite going in last minute when they were so close to closing, they greeted us with much friendliness and amazing service. They were very patient, always had a smile on, and very courteous. We didn't felt rushed in having to order real quick due to them almost closing. The portions were great, and the food tasted amazing! I would highly recommend this place, and I would personally ask for Jenna, Kelly, Genesis, or Ventura if you want to get the best customer service that you can. I've gone before a few times, and the service I've received does not compare to the service from these beautiful ladies. Seriously no comparison people!! This poke place is the best poke place I have ever been to (no joke). Ahipoki is just amazing all-around and if I could I would go to Ahipoki more often, but sadly I can't because I live in Nor-cal. The options here are endless and the different options can create a much different experience each time. The atmosphere is very comfortable, because of the simple and warm light that they use with music playing in the background. If I was rich, I would fly down at least once a week for poke, but sadly I am not. Ahipoki, please open a shop in the Bay Area, I guarantee that you will have plenty of customers up here! The food is good. But I was confused with the sauce they had. So I made calls to the shop but no one answered me. It happened couple times. Till now, I didn't call them successfully once. Best Poki So Far!!! I was introduced to poki bowls by my sister and it was not as mind blowing as I thought since I love sushi. I guess it depends on where you go. My coworker and I came to AhiPoki for lunch, the people there were attentive and greeted us with a smile. They have more options than other poki places I've been to, you can even make your own burrito. Havent tried it yet since im addicted to my salad bowl but it looks appetizing. Food is good but 1 star for laziness: they use the SAME tongs to mix EVERYONE's food! If someone has major allergies that's super dangerous, not to mention gross. I've watched them use the same tongs for three separate groups of people. This happens every time I have come in. Returned to AhiPoki tonight and had a great experience. Vanessa recognized me as a repeat customer and basically re-wrote the book on customer service. We talked for a moment but not too long that we held up the customers behind. She was just so personable that it put AhiPoki in a whole different light for me. The food was great as well! I still prefer my spicy food to be spicier than what they offer here, but the portions were just right and the cuts of fish were fresh and filling. The other ingredients and toppings were mixed just right, overall a very balanced meal. I went here yesterday for a quick lunch with my wife. The price is certainly steep for what you get. Consider, if you got to Oke Poki in Chino Hills their small (3 scoops) is $8.95, but at Ahipoki the Large (3 scoops!) is $12.95. Ahi does offer a wide variety on the protein, but to me the fish was not that fresh. I have read other reviews and everyone else seems to say the fish is fresh, so maybe I went on an off day. We were going to dine in, but the juice machine was down as well as the coca cola. Also, when we were checking out, I asked for some packets of soy sauce but when I got home it was not in the bag. On the bright side, the young man behind the counter was very friendly and polite. read more
