Visited AK from MO. This place was awesome! They have a limited selection, but the atmosphere and staff were great... And the small selection was of high quality, so I didn't miss having 50 options to pick from! It was close to my hotel, so I went back several times when I was returning from my day out on the town (or wilderness). If I ever go back to AK, I will definitely return. Recently went through Alaska on a trip and stopped here on the first day. Being from Texas, it was nice to try a bit of the Alaskan/Tex Mex infusion (the reindeer tacos were delicious and it's hard to be beat the salmon quesadillas). Plus the coffee was great. Very friendly staff and delicious looking food menu. Got a peppermint white chocolate mocha and paid my $6 for it (before tip.) Gave it a three stars due to the overpriced drink that didn't really taste any different than any other, cheaper spot. Will go back but only to try their food. read more

I enjoy their quesadillas and the service here. While there's not a lot of room inside to eat, there is some. But the best part is to be able eat outside during the warmer months. The food is quite good though and I particularly like their guacamole. I'll have to try their coffee sometime. read more

My wife and I have drove by this place the last year and have wanted to try it. First time, my wife got the halibut tacos, which she liked. I got the fish and chips, and was not a fan at all. "Enjoy, this was made with love and passion" is what the cook said. The fish part of my meal was made with the smallest and thinnest pieces of halibut you could find. Possibly the scraps from the tacos. I was eating the fried outside with a sliver of meat in it. A total of 7 potato chip thin, hardly any meat pieces. The kicker was that plate cost more that than the tacos that my wife liked. Not sure I will spend the money here again. read more

The coffee tastes horrible. Milk over steamed and they use white chocolate syrup for a mocha instead of the powdered ghirradeli. Yuck.

My coworkers and I have stopped by for coffee for many years now and it's gotten progressively worse. From multiple coffees with burnt espresso to now getting a completely liquid (no ice whatsoever) redbull smoothie, the baristas don't seem to have any quality control. We keep going back in hopes of better baristas/service but nothing's changing. It's a bummer too because the shop is so cute and in the perfect location. I was so disappointed this time... this was my third time trying the Alaskan Burrito (a breakfast burrito). I loved it the first two times, so ordered it again. The first couple of bites were great and then it started getting lukewarm to cool to cold. The bottom of the burrito was warm to touch but it was refrigerator cold on the inside. Unfortunately, I don't like cold eggs. This experience was quite disappointing because they have been good in the past. On the contrary, my husband got fish and chips and they were tasty and HOT! Once we got our food it didn't seem like it was fresh my tacos were very crunchy and cold my wife's quesadilla was also very cold. I can only speak to the coffee, but it was FANTASTIC. This shop served (by far) the best coffee/espresso that I found in Alaska. There was great natural flavor in the espresso and standard brew. What a wonderful find on my last day in Alaska. Had some time to kill in Anchorage as I was taking a later flight out. Just saw it from the road. The halibut tacos are fantastic, and the service phenomenal. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. This spot capped a great week in Alaska from Denali to Seward and several stops in between. If you are in Anchorage you owe it to yourself to experience this gem. Marissa will definitely take good care of you. One more thing I will miss as I leave this great state. read more

Owner is super cool. Employees extremely polite and respectful. No quality in the food and extremely slow. Constantly have to go to counter and ask on the status. Love the decor and tiny building itself. The workers were all extremely kind and actually seemed to take the constructive comment that I had for their food very well (just that likes in the halibut tacos would really make it perfect in my opinion) and they all agreed and said they will definitely do that. I had an iced coffee and my husband and I shared the pound breakfast burrito and the halibut tacos. They were both pretty good but what made us decide to definitely come back was the excellent service. Great coffee for sure though. They also just got their liquor license and built an outdoor patio.
