LOVE this place. Been coming here for a couple of years now and just can't get enough. There isn't a bad item on the menu, great vegetarian options, the best damn potato salad I've ever tasted, and of course......the bread, don't even get me started on the bread. I literally renewed my lease so I don't move outside of the All About the Bread delivery territory. The bread is amazingly good, it's always so fresh. The meat is always sliced perfectly and layered on so it doesn't fall out the back or sides of the sandwich (sandwich blowout). I can tell the staff really cares about it's customers, once when I was having a garbage day and so I asked for "extra love" on my sandwich and they gave me a special treat. I always go with the large honey turkey, swiss and lettuce and save half for my lunch the following day. But you literally can't go wrong with whatever you order, I've tried them all. You may have heard this place is better than a certain Italian deli over by the water. I can confirm that I am one of those people perpetuating this very true rumor. Is The Godfather better than the godmother? Could be. I've been getting sandwiches from here every few weeks for 5+ years and in my opinion you can't go wrong. Unless you don't like the bread here. I love the bread and think it's the best part but I've met people like my partner who don't (yes, I have considered whether we may be incompatible as a couple over this issue). The pickle and the chocolate chip cookie - also great. I typically get The Godfather with hot peppers (if you like spicy, get them!!) or build my own mortadella/mozzarella/avocado sandwich but the meatball, burrata, caprese, all great too. I should mention I do not like the shredded iceberg situation, it's soggy and weird but that might just be a me problem (and also if you're like me, you can just not get it on your sandwich). Or you can just build your own! The side artichoke and boccacini salads are only ok. I like the Caesar salad generally if I'm looking for something a little green.
