Gregory, our onsite lead, was responsive, well organized, and his four-person crew worked very hard. My advice to anyone moving is to be realistic about how much stuff you have. I got three quotes. One company estimated one-and-a-half 27-foot trucks, while Royal and another company estimated one 27-foot truck. My move-out apartment was 895 sq ft with a large patio. Before moving day, I made two 10-foot Home Depot truck trips myself with the delicate and bulky items: my electric bike, Peloton, and other things that don't stack well. Royal filled a 27-foot truck with everything else, efficiently using all the available space. We did go a little over the estimate because of rush-hour traffic. The only part I didn't enjoy was the payment app prompting for a tip at checkout. After a long moving day, that was one unnecessary stress point because I never know what's considered an appropriate tip for professional movers. Fortunately, I had already planned ahead with cash tips and cold Gatorades for the crew throughout the day. I highly recommend Royal Movers. They made a difficult move much easier. I also gained a whole new respect for my son, his friend, and my old girlfriend, who helped me move the last time. And ChatGPT-5.5, who helped me figure out which movers to get an estimate from, the tip beforehand, and helped edit this review

After doing my research, I ended up going with All Express based on the reviews and pricing. Tl;dr: the other reviews were spot on. If you stop here and hire these guys, you won't regret it. Full review: Main reason we got movers is because the new place has a narrow staircase with a tight turn. And these guys definitely didn't disappoint. All Express was responsive and polite from the start. I reached out via Yelp to get details, and Omar was up front with everything. I got busy and didn't respond to him for a few weeks, but when I followed up, scheduling the appointment was super quick and painless. On moving day, they were punctual as well. Omar confirmed arrival between 8-9am. I got a call at 730 to let us know the team was on the way. Alex and Nur arrived around 750 and was ready to go. After a quick tour to take inventory of what needed to be moved, they got to work. These guys were insanely efficient and didn't waste a minute. They took great care to carefully wrap and protect our stuff (including two 75+ inch TVs), and were equally attentive at how they loaded up the truck. Everything was tetrised to perfection, and nothing was damaged on the way. Alex was very communicative the entire time, and was committed to making sure everyrhing was done the way I wanted it. When we got to the new place, he and Nur unloaded the truck quickly, while still making sure everything was placed where we wanted (e.g. they not only moved the TVs to the correct rooms, but set them up as well). Can't say enough about how great these guys were. They navigated everything up the aforementioned stairwell (including a safe) with no complaints. We recently moved an entire 2,400 sq. ft. home, including four bedrooms, two home offices (with multiple computers, monitors, and printers), a large refrigerator, washer/dryer, several TVs, and gym-quality equipment like a NordicTrack treadmill and rower. They even moved an outdoor fire pit--all with seamless execution. From start to finish, the team was exceptional. I hired Omar and his man (2 movers) to out ACH and move me out of a 2 bedroom house into storage. They arrived on time and quickly but careful set to packing and wrapping all of my belongings in plastic to protect everything from dirt and damage. They kept up the great work for more than 5 hours (about as long as I would expect from THREE people). The only time I saw them take a break was to drive the truck! When requesting this service I expressed concerns to Omar that it might be a 3-man job. But he assured me that 2 could handle it. He was absolutely right and saved me the extra money of paying for a 3rd worker, which wouldn't have saved enough time to be worth it. Omar and team are really great, super responsive over text and very considerate. My husband and I had a kind of complicated move where we needed to move out of one house, put most of our things in storage, and move our clothes and kitchen supplies into a furnished apartment. Omar helped me navigate the move in only a few hours, with three addresses. They very securely stored the sofa my husband and I love, and were able to move our furniture into a storage unit that was not empty, they found space for everything among all of our other possessions that were currently in storage.
