I was going to this place for about 6 months and my first few pedicures and gel manicures were amazing......Until recently... This past Tuesday I went and got a gel manicure. The manicure took the woman 30 minutes in full..... my gel completely chipped off in one piece of one nail and I went and got it fixed. It has been 4 days and not the gel is chipping off on majority of my nails. It sucks when you pay a decent amount of money and have my nails look like poop 4 days later. read more

I had a terrible experience here. I normally do not like to leave negative reviews but after the experience I had this place deserves one. My recommendation is if you are new to getting your nails done do NOT go here!!!!! This review is regarding the staff that works here. I first went in to do a pedicure. Half way through the pedicure I decided that I wanted to get my nails done as well but I was not sure what colors or what designs I would like. So I needed some time to decide. After my pedicure they started to do my manicure while I was still in the pedicure chair they moved me over to a table where they do the gel/ paint. I was still deciding on what colors I wanted, all of a sudden a employee by the name of Linda that was working there that same day (not my nail artist) literally yelled/screamed at me in front of the entire nail salon told me to get out and that I was taking too long. (5 mins to decide is really not that long I don't think.) I wanted to make sure that is was what I really wanted. Even the people who were in their getting there nails done was caught by surprise. I even got witnesses who witnessed the entire event in disbelief. I am very unhappy with this places customer service and how they treat their paying customers. I felt rush, and like they really just wanted my money. That is not how they should treat paying customers. Also I showed the lady who was doing my toes a picture of a flower that I wanted and she said she could not do that??? It was a simple painted flower. I also wanted my nails shorter but since they were rushing me I felt unwanted there so I just settled for whatever they wanted to do. Now I am going on a cruise tomorrow and my nails are not what I had in mind, they are very disappointing. I will need to go home and grind my own nails d It is unfortunate that I had this experience and I will be in contact with the store manager and will be asking them for a refund. Also another thing about this salon is that they were really wanting me to pay in cash... I would not be surprised if they pocket the cash, so glad I did not pay in cash, cause now I am able to dispute the charge on my credit card. read more

Came in today to redeem my gift card. Cathy did my nails and she must be the least experienced nail technician at the salon. She doesn't take her time when removing or filing the nail to shape them, when she polishes she doesn't paint across the tip of the nail, and she can't give a hand message to save her life. I came here for the first time and I've got to say I'm disappointed. My nails feel like they've been abused, as I left the salon with multiple knicks and marks. When the color of the nail polish on my nails seemed off and not the color as described I asked if I could change the color. The response I received was very surprising. All of the ladies attacked me with "no's" and looks of astonishment and disbelief and began to practically yell in their language to each other. Everytime I would try to make a decent point that I was not satisfied, they'd just up their yelling and finally stated that I will have to pay extra. Customer service was horrible and I'm pretty sure my fingers are not supposed to hurt this much after what was supposed to be a relaxing spa day. i want to give this spot a better review because my pedicure wasn't bad. i wish the ladies here didn't want to file your nails down to nothing tho. i've received 2 pedicures & a set of gel nails here, and the gel nails were HORRENDOUS. they did both my pedi + mani at the same time in the pedi chair & i really dislike that experience. it's overwhelming & i can't enjoy my pedicure + massage chair like i'd want to. when i got outside into the sunlight & saw my mani, i wanted to cry; it was that bad. she didn't reach the edges of my nails, so they looked grown out when they were literally just done lol the color she chose to go under the glitter i chose was hideous. tbh, i wish i would have said something & just made someone else start over, i truly regret it. i def won't be going back for a gel mani, that's for sure. read more

I was overcharged the last 2 times I've gone here! The first time I got the basic $22 pedicure and got gel polish for an additional $5. The second time I went in, they told me it's $22 plus $5 to remove gel polish and $5 for new gel polish for a total of $32. They told me to get the Deluxe pedicure with wax and massage and the extra $10 for removing and getting new gel polish was included. They charged me $32 for the Deluxe and removed and gave me new gel. Today I went in and asked for the Deluxe pedicure and to remove and get new gel polish. When it came time to check out, she charged me $42 and told me it was an extra $10 for gel removal and new polish! I explained that they charged me $32 last time and it was included, but she argued with me and charged me $42 anyway. They try to upsell then they gouge you with the price. Don't go here. read more

From the front of the store this looks tiny and I might not have tried it. But we found that the storefront goes back deep and the salon is spacious. There are a lot of pedi chairs and the decor is soothing. It is clean and the pedi specialists are quick and efficient. They were friendly but I enjoyed the fact that I didn't have to engage in idle banter. I found that this is under new ownership and the new owner is welcoming. I decided to give this nail salon a try since it is around my work area. My friend and I went here for a pedicure. The ladies took their time and paid very close attention to our feet. Allure Nails' service is exceptionable. The staff is very welcoming and easy to talk to. The place is clean and does not have the strong smell of nail chemicals. Moreover, there are a variety of 3D art nails, glitter tips, and flower designs that I would love to try next time. The manicurist also informed me that they recently switched owners and that they will be handing out discount coupons very soon! I recently tried to get an appointment with my regular lady and was told she was on "vacation" for three weeks but people seemed vague about when she would return so I could book a future appt. My first time at Allure Nails, was greeted right away and seated. I knew exactly what I wanted and showed the lady who was helping my sister and I. She told me my nails will be $23. The lady who was doing my nails was Anh? I believe. She didn't ask me what shape I wanted my nails.. So I told her I wanted an "almond" nail shape. She had no idea what I was talking about and started asking her fellow co-workers in her language what "almond shape" was. Long story short, she got done with my nails and instead of putting my nails under UV lighting she used a tiny fan. Looked at my nails and said there done. When it came time to pay she told me 23 plus 5 for shaping my nails?! What!! She never mentioned anything about charging me extra for shaping my nail! So I told her those exact words.. She literally puffed her mouth and rolled her eyes and said something again to her co-works. With an angry face she said "okay, 23". I got to my car and pulled my phone out and what do you know...... My thumb nail wasn't even dry and half of the nail pain came off!!! I had go back inside to tell/show her what had happened. She saw me and had a annoyed look in her face.. I seat at the same place and she took off the nail polish and repainted my thumb.. And again she put my nails under the tiny fan! Ughh.. She left for awhile then came back to check my nails.. She put a top coat and got her stuff and LEFT to go home! What are you serious!!! Ugh I was so annoyed at that point. Anyways I really liked the place and the nail tech my sister got. Had pedicare done. They USED to use sugar scrub for the $20 service and what seemed to be clean nail kit. NOW they reuse an old emory board (nail file), they use a pumice stone which is totally porous and can't possibly be rid of athletes foot or herpes worts. I did not see them clean bowl with circulating disinfectant for at least 10 minutes after our service. I did not see them put metal tools into any disinfectant for at least 10 minutes. They do a darn good job making sure they don't catch anything with latex gloves they reuse and reuse and reuse probably for the whole day! Does any one know of a nail salon that keeps a place clean with disinfectant they way they should do in elk grove? read more

My aunt and I followed her manicurist when she moved to this shop, and boy am I glad we did. This is one of the nicest nail salons I've been to, and coupled work the excellent customer service and prices, it can't be beat! The ladies here are so warm and inviting, it's a breath of fresh air considering the welcome I usually get at other shops. But the value is amazing. Where else can you get warmed lotion and heated shoulder packs included in your pedicure for the same price as a no frills pedicure elsewhere? So...... They have been rated best nails in Elk Grove...... I'm not sure by whom.... Definitely not me! I decided to give them a second chance, not sure which time was worse! To be rated best, I personally think that all employees should be the best, not just the owner! Both ladies I've had..... Weren't very great! The first time I went in for a full set. I had to tell her 7 times that my nails needed to be shorter for work! I kept telling her what I needed from her, and still left with crazy thick weird looking nails! So, this time I went in wanting a soak off and gel manicure. This lady tried ripping my nails off!!! I said ouch at least 4 times and am bleeding! I wanted a little nail left to put the new polish on, but now she has had to cut the rest to make them even with the one she tore off! I took the file at the end to make them how I like them, she still proceeded to file them more after I was done! I thought I'd come to this place at least 3 times before I wrote a review. Every time I've come to allure nails I was welcomed with a pleasant smile and was seated almost right away. I don't know how busy this location is on weekends but I usually go in the weekday. I've gotten both pedicures and fills here and received wonderful service! The deluxe spa pedicure is beyond relaxing. They really take care of you and make sure your comfortable! I don't get my pedicures from a particular person but as for my nails, I have Tim do them. Tim is awesome! Very nice and professional and not only that he does an exceptional job. Due to my busy schedule I get a fill 3-4 weeks apart and even though I go so long without getting them done, the nails looks good! They don't chip nor break on me. I also get compliments on my nails on a regular bases, which is definitely thanks to Tim! I also love their gel nail polish choices! Lots to choose from, big selection.
