Nail salon from hell! This is the worst nail job ever. I made an appointment for my friend and I and when I got there I still had to wait 20 min before they serviced me. I asked for French tip and fiberglass she didn't seem too happy about it so once she started she was grabbing my hand like I'm some child going to run away, she then proceeded to cut my cuticles and she cut me and as my fingers were bleeding she took the nail sanding thing and kept smashing it against my cuts and once I saw ouch and started pulling my hand back she grabbed my hand and told me it's supposed to hurt! I was pissed and she kept trying to tell me to get a design on my nail and I said no and she did it anyway and she had the nerve to charge me for it. This place should be shut down. I will never be coming back and I don't recommend this place to anyone. They were expensive and my nails are hideous. I told them there were bubbles and they kept telling me they couldn't see it! This was my second time at Allure Nails, first time I had a very good experience and was treated wonderfully. I wish I could say the same about this experience. Walked in almost as soon as they opened and felt like a burden. I was there to get a gel manicure for myself and a manicure for my daughter who is starting HS tomorrow. They asked if I wanted to get her a gel manicure as well, I said no thank you and she told me to have her get her color. And directed me to sit down. It was in a very bossy tone. The tech I had rushed my entire service, did not properly file my nails or clean my nail beds. She hurt me and was rough all along speaking in her language to the other techs and it felt like she was talking rudely about myself and my daughter. She then asked me if I was pregnant..which I am not. She did not apologize. She began to massage my hands and it too was rushed!! I then looked at my nails and I could have done the same job on my own at home!There was not a long line of people waiting to get there nails done so I have no clue why she felt the need to treat me like I was a burden to her. I asked to speak to a manager and all of the other techs ran over to me and apologized for her actions and said she doesn't speak much English, well she knew enough to ask me if I was pregnant!!! This place is clean and relaxing. I went there 2 times. The second time I asked for pedi and manicure. I pick my color and I did not tell any thing about special manicure that last longer. I just want the simple nail polish. They did not ask me if I want a different nails polish. I did not know about. They charged me 55 dollares. I was expecting for 35. They don't tell you that they will put a special nail polish and that will last long, so this will be 20 dollares more for pedi and manicure. And really this special nail polish just last one week. I never more will get this again because cause damage in my nails. The ladies that work there don't do a good work. They like to talk a lot to each other and pay small attention in your hands. Plus they don't listen to you. You ask something and they don't really pay attention. There is many good reviews ....I don't know how. Not for me. I will not come back again. read more

As this lady was doing my nails, I explained this is not the color I chose and didn't like it; she continued to put the color on and said, "you should have told me that from the beginning." Found on yelp with great reviews for Tim so I tried the shop out. I was a few minutes late and he called to see if I was coming, he was very nice and calm. I walked in and he was standing at his booth & ready to go. I showed him a picture of the nail design I wanted and he knew exactly what colors and how to do it. I liked his service because he asks how do you like his work, is this the way you want them and it doesn't bother him if you want him to fix something. I love that so when you are done you have perfect nails. He finished in a reasonable amount of time and I have found a new nail salon!! read more

I've been coming to this nail salon for quite some time now and it was always a hit or miss. BUT today, I had one of the BEST nail technicians ever! Michelle pays attention to every tiny detail and I love that. She took her time and made sure I liked what she was doing. She went above and beyond my expectations and I love that. I tried the shop today for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised and I they have a new customer in me. Tim gave me a beautiful new set of pink and white nails. I had the best pedicure I have ever had from Katie. Paraffin on my feet, hot rock massage on my legs and both my toes and nails look absolutely beautiful. Went to this salon for over a year and I loved the shape and all the colors they had to offer but after some time everything changed. My nails were breaking and one particular incident made me stop going to this salon all at once. My nail had broken off and I usually get it fixed for free by Tim but he wasn't in that day so an elderly women was going to be fixing my nail that day and I specifically told her what color was the one I had previously and she insisted it was a different one. All in all I had one nail that didn't match the rest; thicker, different shape and wrong color. However, Tim does a great job, and I believe a lady name Lynn is also good. read more

So i dnt know what happened to this place. i come to this spot every other month for 2 years now and havent had a problem. Service is excellent. But just recently ive had 2 BAD experinces with the employees, that needs to be told. 1ST ONE I LET SLIDE WHICH WAS A MISTAKE, the lady i believe was the owner i guess was having a bad day or maybe just overhwelmed with customers that day, i had took my niece to go get her nails done first time getting a full set. Explained to her how she wanted them done and even showed her pictures or what she expected and the lady wasnt geting how to shape coffin nails so the owner had to step in. FOR one it is the place job to stay current with nails styles since it was voted 2014 best salon shop. Well lets just leave it as the owner had to step in and fix one of the employee job they had done on my niece but she still couldnt masture it so tim had to step in and slim and form them but that is besides the point the point is that it took three people to work on ten fingers which was not like them from past experience. My second experince the lady name mindy had major attitude i told her what i wanted was a full set she the lady that greeted me automatically said gel full set said im like fine why not i was spoiling myself anyways i had asked before if i could get alil bit of clean up on my cuticles the lady said yes but 5 bucks extra i said thats no problem when i got to mindy she refused to do so she insisted that she couldnt do it because the drill would fix my issue that fustrated me because one it DID NOT and two im the one paying money and going to get something nice and suppose to be relaxing and enjoyable for me but no so we go back and forth about it i finally said forget it and she went on then we had an issue with lenth of finger nails saying if i went longer then the finger nail clipper they charge 5 dollars extra im like wow is that so didnt have this problem in december when i came in and it doesnt say on price sheet oh boy then i couldnt help and say forget it heres when my happy mood switched to attitude when it came to shaping my finger nails i had to say to go thinner twice she kinda gave a scuffle like mumble i asked her do you have attitude she asked huh like she didnt hear me so i repeated myself she says no and trys to put on a smile.... overall i will not be going back there as the saying goes fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me... My daughter's and I went here for my birthday to get mani & pedi's. I showed them the Yelp check in offer & they acted like they didn't know what it was for. I explained that we wanted gel Manis instead of regular polish. Asked if we could pay the difference. They said yes. While I was getting my pedi another worker started working on my fingers. She even painted them while I was still getting the pedi. This led to the pedi girl getting reprimanded by the mani girl for moving my legs & messing her work up. At least I think that is what was said because they didn't speak English. The mani girl cut a chunk of skin off my pinky finger & the pedi girl cut the side of one of my toes while they were trimming cuticles. The finished mani & pedi were okay. However the gel is starting to chip on my fingers after just one week. One of my daughters wanted a full set of acrylics instead. She picked the colors she wanted & asked if the girl could do a design. She said yes. So, my daughter started to show her some ideas she had in her phone. The girl said later. So, she figured once the prep work was done she would show her. The girl never asked her to see designs again. My daughter realized it was a waste of time to try to get her to understand. So she just let her do a one color mani. Not what she wanted. When it came time to pay I asked if I could add tip to the charge card. Yes, yes was the answer. But the slip printed with no space to add tip. So, I had to pull what little cash I had to cover tip. When it wasn't as much as she expected she said 5 people and only this? I went to Allure Nails for a pedi and soak off/mani. Pedi went well until she stabbed me with the sharp tip of her tool when she was cleaning under my toe nails, surprisingly she did not draw blood. Too much of my cuticles were cut off and a day later my toes still looked inflamed. The color I was talked into, turned out to be a very nice color however the paint job wasn't that great. My soak off consisted of another lady using a nail tip to rip the acrylic off. She continued this after I told her that it hurt and would cause my fingers to be in a lot pain that night and they did hurt. If neither one of those experiences are bad enough, I was charged $5 over their posted price. Although I am not a talkative person, I definitely do not expect them to talk to each other, much less in a language that can't be understood, it's just rude! okay I have no idea why this place is rated so many stars, for starters. when I went to go make an appointment I asked for tim because of the great reviews he got, but then the lady said she was busy, okay that's fine. I went to my appointment and time was sitting around with nothing to do the whole time!!! I ended up getting linda. Linda was forceful to making me choose gel but i declined, I went in for an acrylic fill. while she was doing my nails she took sooooo long. I came at 3:00 and left at 4:30 mind you it was a fill!! i liked my nails but she didn't put enough coats on I constantly had to ask her to keep putting more on, they had a very wide selection of colors though anyways. when I gave Linda a $20 bill for the fill that was 17. she didn't give me my change back!! I had just realized when I got home. also when I got home my nail ended up breaking the same night. never coming back. I'm going back to my old nail place , lynns nails. read more

Been looking for a go-to salon in Elk Grove and decided to give Allure Nails a shot. Very good service.. up until I was deciding on my nail designs. I wanted a cheetah print design like the one on the wall and it didn't come out anything like it. It looked like eyelids with no eyeballs. The nail tech (I'll leave her name blank because aside from not knowing how to do a design was very personable.) It literally was the worst attempt at cheetah spots. When I told her I didn't like the design, she was in shock and didn't want to remove the color. She mentioned how she would have to do extra work and file it down before taking out the gel color. The nail tech sitting beside reminded her that she used regular polish and that all she would have to do is wipe off the regular polish. Also, she blamed it on how I wanted the spots along the side of my nails and how my nails weren't long enough when just before she attempted the design, was talking about how big my nail bed was. I ended up not doing any design and just leaving them plain. Overall, I like the tub liners for hygienic purposes, but I need more variety in choice of gel colors and workers who are willing to satisfy their customers. read more

me and my friend are regulars at this place. i go every two weeks; faithfully. i used to love this place. Lynn and the male that work there are so professional and very kind but they other workers not so much. they don't take their time on you and one time when i went back in two days later because my polish had chipped on my toe they acted like they didn't even want to help me. The lady came up to me painted the chipped part and whipped it off and just said "wrong color" and walked away, left my toe nail worse than it looked;polish all over my skin, i sat there for a minute thinking she was going to get the right color and come back but no i was wrong so i just walked out. There is one lady there that is older, she wheres glasses and always has her hair pinned up, she is very rude; my daughter was standing next to me while i was finishing up and she was in her way and she yelled something in her language; obviously i don't know what she yelled but the yell scared my daughter enough for her to immediately move out of her way and as she ran by she kicked my sandals out of the way. Another thing is they constantly are asking for TIP TIP TIP when you are paying...im like calm down let me pay what i owe and then i will give tip. i even gave them a second chance after the one time they left me in water at the pedicure chair for 40 minutes and finally rushed to help me after i complained and said something. i would have rather been told to come back later we dont have time . im sad because i really liked this place for years and they are so clean here and that's hard to find but the environment feels awful. i really used to love this place but some of the girls that work there ruin it for the business, i decided to go across the street in Bel Air parking lot and loved it and they are very sanitary too, im glad it was hard for me to find a new place and after seeing how much time they take on you at my new place i know i am getting my moneys worth, the appearance of my nails are so nice i love them. no stokes in my polish not short cuts, just really nice professional work. read more
