Plenty of parking space outside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Arranged a weekend lunch here with a group of friends -from their interior decor to comfortable seating to delicious food, I can confidently say we will be back![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You order through a QR code at your table, and honestly you just want to order everything on their menu. The variety of skewers all came out at once and placed on their skewer platter at the table. Everything was delivered in a timely manner, and the waitress was attentive with refilling our water pitcher. Be careful with the XLB because they're juicy! I bit into mine and all the soup splattered onto my plate and my top a bit. All of our tummies and tastes buds were satisfied! Oh- also thank u so much for providing us some dessert plates and forks for dessert we brought in to share with our group!

Having a get together with some friends when in town. A friend picked this place and it was delicious. They have lots of variety of skewers and side dishes to share. So glad there were 5 of us so we can taste most of the menu. We thought we over ordered but it was good portion size. Their dumplings and beef rolls were delicious. All the food came in a good timely matter and you don't feel like you have been waiting. Love the decor and super trendy. It reminded me when I was in Hong Kong. Toward the end of the night they have open mic karaoke. Seem super fun. Definitely a place for a group of friends. Will definitely come back when in town again.

First time here and it was GOOD. Great location with big parking lot. The sign js huge so you can't miss it. Very cute decoration here with lots of colorful lights. Extensive food menu. Order food with QR code. We got a lot of stuff and everything taste good. Server Jeff cooked the stone pot noodle right in front of us. Excellent service from Jeff. I highly recommend.

Always Cool BBQ is a very fun place, especially if you come in a large group. I've been here a couple of times and both experiences were very different. The first time, I came with a large group and we ordered multiple dishes (family style). It was interesting trying the various options which is a lot!! Then we walked next door to do Karaoke and it was a lot of fun. The second time, I came only with my husband since we had been dreaming about the food since the last time we went but it was a bit different this time. It was too much for two and we didn't get to order too many dishes like the first time. I suggest coming with a group of 4 at least. Also, I believe the menu has changed a bit. Before you could order by the skewers but now you have to purchase 3 minimum which I wasn't a big fan of. To be honest the skewers are the least favorite dish from here. They were very chewy. We had the beef ones. The rest of the other dishes were delicious! My husband's favorite is the Spicy Fried Clams. They have the best ones I've tried. I'm not a huge fan of clams but the ones here are delicious! We also have the Onion Pancakes (they were better the first time we ordered vs the second time). The second time they were very thin band didn't taste like onion pancakes. The combo fried rice was good and my favorite was the String Beans and Eggplant. This dish was delicious! The Red Oil Pork Won Tons are a bit for me. They have the Sichuan sauce that is tingly and it was a it for me. Overall I would totally come back just with more people. It is funner with a large group.

Wow, what a score in Fremont! Was looking for something random with my daughter and came across this review on Yelp and thought why not? This place has a very cool vibe inside with vibrant signage and fish tanks next to tables that are super relaxing. You order on your phone using the QR code and pay the final bill with your server. They have so many choices of great Chinese "street food" and everything else Chinese wise you would find at Chinese restaurants but more of it. Let me say the Chinese pancakes were TO DIE FOR! Light, flakey, not greasy and multiple layers. The sesame balls were the best I ever had. Light crispy outside, toasted to perfection with a true toasted flavor and the chewy tender inside that makes me want to take a nap after eating them. Like comfort food on steroids. The most interesting item was the street food squid on skewers which were amazing. Don't think soft tender calamari, thing a snappy piece of tentacle you have to chew but it's not rubbery like old squid, it's a refreshing snappy bite with an incredible sauce that has a nice kick but doesn't kick you back from your chair with tears running down your face. Been there and done that plenty in my travels. This place has Chinese BBQ only in the evening but with a menu of this size, you really need to come with 4-8 people (there were only two of us) as they give you portions that easily would allow each person 1-2 pieces of everything and that's where the fun really would explode. This is 5 stars for me but we only tried 4 items and took 1/2 home for left overs. Next time I am bringing my army and hitting the bbq. Definitely check this place out!

The portion of the grilled fish is big, with plenty of side dishes inside like tofu skin and rice cakes, which are pretty special. It's savory and very spicy, pretty delicious overall. The bbq skewers are just okay level among authentic Chinese bbq. All of them taste too light and flavorless. And the prices of skewers is higher than average but the portion and the taste are not. read more

We ordered 2 dishes: 1. Grilled Fish Sichuan Hot and Spicy 2. Shrimp and Beef in Golden Soup. The shrimp and beef soup is tasty and not spicy, the kids love it. It has soft shrimp ball (seems to be home made) and sliced beef. It also have the glass noodle. It is warmed with candle. We rate it 8.5/10. The grilled fish is excellent! It has charred taste and the sichuan soup is very tasty, not too numbing and spicy, just nice. The fish seems like a big catfish with tons of meat. There ia fire underneath to keep it warm. We rate it 9.5/10. Both dishes have big portion. We will surely be back! read more

We've been here a couple of times, and we had pretty good experiences both times. There's some funny English menu translations, but the food is decent and it's at a spice level that my kids can (mostly) handle. What I didn't expect was an actual fireworks show with the corn and the popping boba within, but the kids were impressed and that's all that matters? The warming plate isn't hot, but it did keep our rice cakes warm up until the end of the meal. Extra napkins were provided, water pitcher was refilled before it was empty, etc.. Overall the food and service is good, although I'd caution anyone with sensitivity to flashing lights. The music level is reasonable though. We'll definitely visit again. read more

Very mellow vibe. No reservations because the restaurant wasn't busy that day, and I went with a group of 10. Ordering with the QR was so easy, and the servers were very cordial. The food was very saucy and garlicky (I had the Dan Dan noodles and some of the sweet and sour pork); as a personal preference, it was a little overwhelming. I'm a garlic girl, but the garlic was a bit much even for me. The rest of the food was shared amongst the group. Skewers left much to be desired for (there wasn't much). Overall, I would definitely go again, the price was fair and the setting was nice. read more

I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant. It was my favorite late night bbq spot. Last night I took my friends here that was visiting from out of town. I was raving to them about how delicious their skewers were. However, last night was a miss for us. The chicken skin lacked flavor; Actually it didn't have any flavors beside a little salt. I love that it's more crispier now but its just way under seasoned. The beef used to be very good and flavorful as well but this time it was dry and also under seasoned. Their cucumber was also on the bland side. Wished it was a bit more tangy so it can awaken our taste bud. Although some items were not as good as it used to be, we still love their string beans, chicken kebab, and grilled chicken wings. Those items were still just as good as before. This is why I'm still giving it a 3 star. I did notice that they updated their menu with a lot of new items. I might still come back to give the new items a try but I do miss their flavorful chicken skin and beef kebab. The interior design also got a little upgrade which was nice. Loved the fish tanks and light fixtures. read more

My cousin loves their golf simulator which is in the back and you have to reserve it. There's 2 of them in the back room so multiple parties can be on the simulator. $20 per person for an hour which isn't bad. Since I don't use the simulator, I don't have to pay, I just hang out with my friends. I usually just order a drink and hang out. You order at the bar and they will bring the food right to you. They also have a bunch of tvs around that has all the sports channels on. There's so much to do and all of the workers are friendly and helpful. They have blacked out windows which could freak out some people, but there's nothing to freak out about. Staff is nice and customers tend to keep to themselves. I love seeing how there seem to be a good number of regulars because people seem to know each other there. Front desk is at the very back next to the bar and restrooms. They have a bar so you can eat and drink while playing pool. Each time we've gone lately, we haven't had to wait too long for a table. We've gone on off peak times and it was great. Service is great. Nachos are gigantic for just us two, but we made a good dent in it. They definitely hit the spot. We'll definitely be back.

The room options here are: *SMALL [housing 2-5 guests comfortably] *MEDIUM [housing 6-8 guests] *LARGE [9-15 guests] *VIP ROOM [16-30 guests] Costs per hour ranges depending on the room you decide on and the larger the room is, the service fees increase. TBH, there isn't much servicing happening beyond someone taking you to your room and handing off the mics and letting you do your thang. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I only wished I had know beforehand that food and drinks are okay to bring in on your own. There is a neighboring business where we ended up buying snacks and foods at but I would have loved a few bags of jerky and XX Hot Cheetos. There are specialty Asian flavors of Lay's potato chips and drinks for sale. Cold sodas, iced teas, sparkling flavored waters, red bulls, beer, Truly, sake, and soju are available but these are beyond overpriced. Spend at your own risk because things add up quickly. Rooms come equipped with tambourines and the staff will come in to give you a 5 minute warning of your time being up. 4 Stars overall, this was such a fun and memorable night!! I'd easily come back again but would be a lot more prepared in terms of the foods and drinks the next time around.

The biggest issue with Always Cool BBQ was the skewers, which were supposed to be BBQ but tasted more like they were fried. The meat was dry, and the flavors were lacking, leaving me wondering if the dish had even been cooked on a grill at all. As a BBQ enthusiast, I was incredibly disappointed and felt that the restaurant did not deliver on its promise. Adding to the frustration was the constant questioning by our server about whether we enjoyed the food. While I appreciate attentive service, the frequency with which she asked bordered on annoying and made me feel like my dining experience was being monitored. Okay, I have not tried this place yet, but I have been looking at the photos of the food which 90% of it looks quite good. But what in hell is up with the adding cupcake sprinkles to your food. This is the type of action that will make your grandma consider disowning you. Just blocks away from the highway, you'll find yourself in a mini food Mecca with plenty of food and drink options in this area in addition to shopping and entertainment. However, for a fancy night out that will be sure to fill you up and amaze you with flavors and presentation, Toro's got you covered. Upon entering the space, you'll find yourself walking into what seems like a luxurious staging area as you wait to get seated. Peeking in, you'll catch a glimpse of their large dining two large dining spaces and the bar. Accented by colorful neon lights, you may get the feeling you've been dropped right into a hip club scene only to be brought back down to reality from the delicious smells wafting to your nose. We checked in with the host and were seated right away during our early evening dinner, however as it gets closer to peak time, the place can get pretty packed. We planned to eat some barbecue in addition to the sushi so got situated at a table with a grill. It seems the tables are best suited for about four patrons per cooker or otherwise, it might get a bit crowded. Furthermore, since you grill your meat yourself, having too many cooks may damper the experience. As we were seated, we were given menus and waters and left to peruse the different options and sets that were available. For those looking to grill, they have quite a few different set meals that include a variety of different meats and cuts and side dishes that ultimately could feed between two to four people. The premium meats like the high grade Wagyu are going to cost you a chunk of change but it may be worth the experience for those beef connoisseurs. For us, we opted for the gold set which portion-wise was perfect for our party of two. We also got their sushi sashimi set to get a nice sampling of their dish selection. To top things off, we also ordered a specialty roll, the pink lady. The first item to come out was the sushi set and it was downright beautiful as it came out stationed with different elevations, colors, and even a dry ice effect. The fish cuts looked fresh and portioned well. The rice faired well also and complemented each piece of fish just right. The pink lady roll was also very scrumptious; each bite had the perfect amount of sauce and balance in protein and rice. The wasabi was also pretty fresh and not your average green paste. Then it was time for the barbecue meats to shine - with each cut sectioned on its own pedestal and labeled separately, it was fun to cook through each bite and savor the tenderness and flavors. Alongside the meat, we had a small dish of fat to be used in cooking the meats - I thought this was an ingenious use of what is a typically discarded part of the animal. Most of the meats only needed about a minute to be ready to eat; once it was off the grill, it was dunked in some of the dipping sauces and went straight into our mouths. At the rate we were cooking, the grill got pretty caked up fast but the staff were just as quick to change it out for us. One issue I found cumbersome was the smoke lingered as the vents didn't seem strong enough to suck it out of our faces. Overall, Toro Sushi Stone Grill & Bar has everything you'd want for a celebratory meal - ambiance, service quality, variety of items, and presentation of food. You will end up paying a bit of a premium but for us, it was worth the experience. There sure are relative competitors nearby and all around the bay but Toro's a great option if you're looking to venture off from the crowds and put your money where the food's quality matches the price point.
