We had our holiday work lunch at Americano today. The place was bustling! We were seated right away. The waiter and the chef were so welcoming and accommodating. We ordered fries to share (they were cooked to order so they were hot and yummy). I had the Yaas Chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The menu is quite large but my group all decided to have sandwiches. We also ordered desserts to share and we had the tiramisu, cheesecake and chocolate mousse. Everything was elegantly presented and so tasty. Be prepared to take a box to go because you get a ton of food. I highly recommend this place. It's not much to look at from the outside but the food and the service is outstanding! We all will be back to eat there again. read more

Amazing selection of sandwiches and very friendly people. I had a huge sandwich loaded with chicken, pesto, avocado and provolone cheese on a sourdough roll. It was so big that I only ate half and had the other half for lunch the next day. Definitely give them a look. read more

My wife and I were disappointed on our visit on 1/31 during lunch. The place was crowded as there was possibly a company lunch being held. We were ordering to go but later decided to stay as the large party and other customers were leaving. To start my Parmesan sandwich had burnt dried cheese all around and the chicken ends were rubbery un edible, possibly for over nuking it. I was going l to let them know but the place was again picking up and my wife although disappointed advised me to just go. I only took a few bites and disposed of the sandwich. I guess the quality drops when the restaurant is busy. As for the service, once I mentioned to the waiter that we were eating in instead of take out, he just handed me the paper bag, once we sat down he never approached us. It was like he made extra effort not to come by us. I was waiting for him as my wife wanted a drink. Oh well this is my recent experience and don't think I will be coming in when the place is busy. Also keep in mind the prices have increased, expect to pay over 20 dollars for a sandwich. read more

Delicious sandwiches! We had the meatball and the artichoke sandwiches. I would definitely order the meatball again, but I guess artichokes just aren't my thing on a sandwich. Although I didn't get the chance to enjoy my lunch in the restaurant, I was able to enjoy it at home through Uber eats! I ordered the spaghetti meat balls and calamari for my appetizer and I'm really impressed!!! The calamari came with two types of sauce, one with tomato and the other is cream based. They were both extremely good, especially the garlic-lemon cream sauce! Although the spaghetti sauce was a little bland and lacked salt but the meatballs were amazing. It was packed nicely and the food were still warm when they arrived! I would for sure order from here again! read more

Service was fantastic and the sandwiches are HUGE (see picture for size reference) You get what you pay for Only thing that sucks is by the time I got my sandwich it was soggy. I couldn't save the other half for later. It just made a complete mess and I was really disappointed I had to throw half of it away because it was just so so so soggy . So half of the price I paid got wasted. The taste was amazing tho! I got the number 19 as is on Dutch crunch And my boyfriend got the "shut the front door" no veggies or sauce on Dutch crunch add cheese We both loved the taste and my boyfriend couldn't even finish his . This was the 1st time my sister and I have been to this restaurant and it had really good Yelp reviews and let me tell you those Yelp reviews were true the food was amazing the service was great the atmosphere was amazing! My daughter was craving a cheesesteak, so I went on Yelp to research. Americano jumped out at me right away because it's close to our house and because of the great ratings. It's our first time trying them. I am on a very restricted diet and don't drive or walk much because of a medical condition. So I ordered 2 large custom cheesesteaks on their website for pickup. It said my order was estimated to be ready for pickup like 10-15 mins later and it gave me the time, as well as an option for curbside pickup, which I chose. We headed there and I called to see if it was ready and it was. I wanted to park in front of the restaurant, but it was a red zone and a car was behind me, so I parked at the nearest parking space. I told the lady on the phone I was parked right outside and she said I don't see your car, but I'll bring it out. Davina came out and brought my order to my car. The bag was sealed real well with a sticker that can't be easily torn, but needs to be cut. Talk about secure! I gave one to my daughter and had her open it to check the order was correct and had everything she wanted. They got it right and when she opened it, omg my car smelled so good! I appreciate how fast and easy the online ordering was and that Davina was kind enough to bring my order out to me, especially with my disability. I recently celebrated my 75th birthday with a large (60 plus) party that I had catered by Americano's. This experience from the first interaction with Camila to the last was a PLEASURE. I have never hired a caterer before and really wasn't sure what I was doing. I was walked thru the entire process and felt very comfortable. The food was EXCELLENT- my friends raved! They made special requests for me that weren't on the menu. There was plenty of delicious food - many went back for seconds and thirds. The service was the BEST. Friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. I would and have recommended Americano's as the place to go and to hire for catering. I plan on hiring them for my 80th birthday in five years. Wow... lived in the Central Valley all my life and last year moved to Texas. Anytime coming home I have to get all of my food fixes in because there's nothing like California food. My grandparents took me here today and I have to say it was probably the best sandwich I ever had. Great local business in Livermore! Think of it as Ike's meets an Italian deli. I prefer The Godfather Sauce as it has a bit more kick from the garlic and hot sauce. Quality of the deli meat is on point. Rather generous portions so come hungry. If you're reading this during Covid, I'd allocate 45 minutes to an hour if you're ordering during rush hour. For me, it's worth the wait and I'm totally understanding given the environment. It's a locally owned business and they're trying the best they can. Tip - if you're picking up, go in and stand to the right. It's not clear but usually folks on the left have been helped and are waiting for their food. It's a small area inside and with everyone needing to be 6 feet apart, you end up in a circle real quick. read more

Come hungry. Leave happy! The generous portions and friendly, efficient staff here make you feel like family. I love the selection of food, beer and wine here and the menu offers what you would hope to find at an authentic Italian restaurant. My first time here I ordered the Bolognese and Chicken Parmesan. The Chicken Parm was the clear winner, but leftovers of both dishes did not survive the next day. Most recently we tried the Chicken Parm (again, it's worth it) and the shrimp scampi. This time we cleaned our plates (so much for leftovers) and we tried the Tiramisu for dessert. They were quite busy on a Saturday night (everyone here works with the gusto of an owner, which is charming) but I'm sorry to add that the tiramisu was slightly icy in the middle. Giving them a pass on this because a) everything else was great and our water glasses were never empty and b) the presentation and flavor of everything was on point. We will be back! read more

The restaurant is a bit small and it gets busy so my recommendation is to get take out or make a reservation ahead of time. I went as part of a group and worked with Alexi to get everyone's orders ahead of time. This helped the kitchen and service flow quickly. I ended up typing it up and handing it to him. Alexi thought it was great because it made it easier to enter the order. Alexi was also very personable and has a great sense of humor. This is our second time as a group and hands down, food is AWESOME. The sandwiches are great as well as the fries but you have to order onion rings. They are the best we have had for sure. Americano Livermore is a great example of a small business, putting out great food. My daughter lives in Livermore with her family, and when we visit, we often get either lunch or dinner. The sandwiches are just huge and tasty, and not just with filler, very generous portions of your choice of meat/cheese. Sauces are tasty and full of flavor, almost enough garlic! (But, I love garlic.) From red sauces, to the way they cook their proteins, all done well. The cooks know what they are doing. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars, is that twice now, items were missing from the take out order. Last night, it was the family sized Cesar salad that was missing. How do you not include a main dinner ingredient? I admit, I am partly to blame for not checking the order before leaving the parking lot, I usually do after the first time it happened. Oh well, called and they said they would credit back the cost, didn't go back as everyone was starving. I still will happily go back again, but I will just make sure to check I got everything I ordered. read more

So I went online and made a large party reservation and never once looked at what time they closed....we are not from this area and totally screwed up.....the girl said sit....it was at closing time and a party of SEVEN. She said sit...we sat and had an outstanding meal...every one had really nice things to say about their food choices and everyone had something different. Yelp mistakenly suggested this restaurant to us, a mistake that led us to encounter sandwiches that truly had a unique taste and flavor.
