The gf and I got a couple of sandwiches "to go" for our Livermore exploring, and had to wait about 25-30 mins for it. * I got the Meatball N' Hoagie Sandwich on a Sourdough roll (Herb garlic spread sauce, marinara, provolone cheese, Parmesan cheese and meatballs) [$15, 4.5 stars] - delicious, tons of mozz, sliced meatballs, but the winning ingredient was the herb garlic sauce spread upon the bread. Mmmm! * She got the Californian Sandwich on Dutch Crunch (Herb garlic spread sauce, Swiss cheese, turkey, avocado and slaw) [$14, 4.5 stars] -- she loved. It was piled so high, she only ate a half. My husband and I split it because we have dinner reservations elsewhere and needed a quick snack! But even half the sandwich was quite filling for me. So delicious and we were able to scoop a seat outside - amazing weather. The folks inside made sure to come and check on us even though it was busy. So I definitely appreciated that. A darling little sit in restaurant with incredible food and service. We came for lunch and ate Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Marsala, and Chicken Tetrazzini. Our server Cassandra did a wonderful job of recommending dishes based on dietary restrictions and flavorings and even suggested a wine that my husband loved. The atmosphere was casual with elegant touches in the decor, velvet chairs, and serving dishes. My husband and I are visiting the area for a while and we heard good things about this place. We were famished and decided to go for dinner here on a Tuesday night. The place was quiet but we were greeted by a friendly woman behind the counter. She told us to 'just have a seat anywhere and I will be Right with you". We sat down and before we knew it people started to come in for 'take out orders' The same lady who greeted us came over and asked us for our order, we decided on Calamari to begin with and told her we would peruse the menu a little more. She brought over waters for us then went back to the counter to assist more customers with their takeout orders. She eventually came back and took our dinner order, Pastrami Sandwichs for us both. Again this same woman assisted 'to go' customers while we waited. A woman with young children came in and was asked if it was take out but this customer said "No, we'd like to eat here". She was instructed to take a seat "anywhere". My husband and I waited patiently when the same lady brought over our dinner orders and moments later our appetizer dish. I have to say that our meals and appetizer dish were Delicious BUT.....this Restaurant Definitely NEEDS to HIRE Help !! I would suggest the Owner hire someone to help with the To Go Orders or maybe a waitress, either or !! We were disappointed since Obviously the Appetizer dish is supposed to be served BEFORE Dinner. Also I know that my husband would have enjoyed a glass of wine while we waited but we were not asked if we would have liked a drink with our meals. I went here based on yelp reviews, which is making me question yelp reviews. I went in during the afternoon/early evening to grab a sandwich while waiting to pick up my daughter.The prices were ridiculously high - sandwich ($19) , small bag of chips ($3.25), etc. I just wanted to relax and get a couple of things done for work, Music blasting, deliveries being done, cleaning around me while eating, etc. If it was dirt cheap, i get it but it wasn't. I thought it was rude, not at all a relaxing environment. Food was ok. I will not go back and don't recommend it. read more

Sandwiches $18-$20 are huge with about a pound of meat (big enough to share). Very surprised that Americano lunch meat sandwich was "heated up" (normally Italian sub is served cold). I appreciate the white cotton tablecloths but the rest of the decor was horrible with red velvet of the walls and chair seat covers. It was very, very hot inside the restaurant (105 degree weather) and door was open and there didn't seem be any air conditioning. A friend recommended this gem so we stopped by for lunch. It's a small, cute family restaurant with about a dozen tables, friendly service, and amazing food! I ordered the #5 (Friday I'm in Love) - a pastrami, turkey, swiss combo and hubby ordered #12 (Deuces) - a bacon, capocollo salami, mozzarella, fries (in the sandwich) combo - both come with The Godfather Sauce (garlicky herb goodness) and your choice of slaw topping or lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and pepperoncini. The sandwiches are all served hot unless you specify cold and there is so much flavor in every bite! They were so good we asked to see the dinner menu and were drooling over the selections. We ended up going back the same night for dinner with friends. We ordered (2) Bruschetta appetizers which was delicious! Crostini topped with soft, creamy chèvre cheese, vine-ripened tomatoes, garden herbs and drizzled with balsamic glaze. The Godfather's Chop House Ribeye ~ 16z seared w/garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus drizzled with balsamic. Risotto Di Sicilia ~ pancetta, mushrooms, Italian sausage, bell peppers, parsley and parmesan. It was not too thick or creamy but had a great flavor. Chicken Marsala ~ chicken breast, mushrooms, thyme, prosciutto, sage and shallots simmered in a sweet Marsala sauce and comes with mashed potatoes and spinach. Chicken Parmesan ~ chicken breast pan fried topped with cheese and comes with spaghetti in a tomato herb sauce. Overall this place is great! Everything we ate was delicious and cooked perfectly. In town for work stuff. Found this place online. I ordered the Southern Belle and small fries. Mmm delicious. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmigiana which he said is the best. Both portions are large. We both only ate half. Plenty for lunch for tomorrow. We were immediately greeted by the server. The food came out hot. No waiting in the window. It's cozy seating inside. WEDDING vendor review. It's disappointing for me to write this review because I really wanted to write a positive one for ALL the vendors of my wedding. Pros: -Great food (that's why we picked them to cater our wedding) -Every guest had their own paper bagged dinner - covid friendly Cons: Food was supposed to be ready for 3:00PM Pick-up, as stated on our catering quote. My brother-in-law arrived at 3:00PM for the pick-up but food was NOT ready. He had to wait 45 MINUTES and walked out of Americanos at 3:45PM. Due to Americano's poor time management and not giving priority to catering my wedding which had already been paid for days in advance, caused my brother-in-law to miss our wedding ceremony. Their reason for being late was that they got really busy with customers AND topped it off by saying, "you weren't a big order anyways". I would not recommend them for any special events, such as a wedding. read more

Very busy restaurant, friendly service. Covid restrictions observed: staff wears masks and gloves. They also have a plastic guard between hostess and customers. Sanitizer provided, social distancing and only Take-Out available. Mom and Dad really like the Spaghetti and Meatballs, but I find it bland. They also enjoyed the Lasagna, which was very cheesy, but bland also. The Winner for me was the #8 sandwich; the Tiger Woods. Lots of Ham, Turkey, Bacon and Provolone, served hot. I had mine minus the onions. I had it on a sourdough roll and it was Guuureat! I will definitely try more of their sandwiches! I usually don't rate based on service, but the lack of organization or care means you may get screwed over big time. Picture this: You're hungry and want a meaty sandwich to meet your cravings. So you head on over and arrive before they open - but see their Open sign on. Cool! I place my order at 10:50a-ish. I'm the only person in the restaurant. But by 11:05, a few more folks show up. Some are dining in. All the while, they'll get internet orders and phone calls for orders. It's now 11:20 and guy who dines in receives a sandwich. WTF! Where's mine? I go to talk to cashier person and he waves me away - "Your order is coming". A family gets seated and places an order around 11:30. It's now 11:40, and lots of people are there waiting for their orders. Then they bring the family their order. Now that's two parties who ordered way after me, and got their food before me. And I only ordered a single sandwich!!! As you may have guessed, by this point I am pissed and I tell the cashier person. He seemed not too inclined to care and just said it's coming. I finally do get it, at about 55 minutes in. The sandwich is fine. I personally think $16 is a lot for what it is, and if you're in that company I'd rather spend a few bucks more for Deli Board or Palm City Wines in SF. But the sandwich is tasty. I also don't necessarily criticize the wait. They were clearly backed up. But if you place an order and start seeing multiple parties after you get their stuff way before you, that means their ticket/kitchen system is garbage and it's the customer that suffers. This restaurant needs to figure out how to run. read more
