I purchased a set of tires here less than 2 years ago. The sales guy was really nice and informative. But what prompted me to write a review was my experience with America's Tire Store today. I found a huge nail in my tire last night and brought in my car first thing this morning to see if they could patch it up. Raoul came out and greeted me as I was just getting out of my car. Actually, I was super surprised because I didn't expect it at all. He told me he'd have my tire patched up and rotate my tires (because I mentioned that I hadn't had that done yet) within an hour! As promised, I received a call before the hour was up. When I returned to the store, there was a long line, but Raoul saw me and grabbed my keys and I was on my way. And it was FREE! Juan and Victor have been terrific to work with. I purchased a set of tires here, and in the past they've made several repairs for me. The time quoted is accurate and the prices are reasonable too - no surprises. They do try and upsell you on the tire insurance, but aren't pushy about it, and I appreciate the transparency. I had a great experience coming to this shop to have a tire repaired. A nail punctured my tire and I used fix-a-flat inflator/sealant so I could drive to a safe place to swap it with the spare. I called WheelWorks and Costco to ask about getting the damaged tire patched. WheelWorks said they do not repair tires that had spray sealant used but they would be happy to sell me a new tire. Costco (where I purchased the tires) said they couldn't repair the tire after it had been sprayed with sealant as it would void the warranty and therefore I would need to buy a new one. Not being very knowledgeable about tires, this is a common policy with most shops - they don't want to deal with the slimy, messy goo from a sealant and it's a more labor intensive process to repair a tire in this condition. I got that and was fully expecting I'd have to buy a brand new single tire. I then called America's Tire and the person I spoke to said they didn't have a policy about not repairing tires after sealant had been used, so I decided to have them check the tire. I made an appointment online for the next day (a Saturday) which was very easy. I got to the store and the guy walked with me to the car and checked all my tires and made recommendations (my tires are due to be replaced) and said if they could repair the punctured tire, it would be done in 45 mins to an hour. I walked across the street to the Whole Foods shopping center and about 45 minutes later, I got a call that my car was set to go. They didn't even charge me for the repair and everything was put back nicely (spare into the trunk). I spoke to the staff person about what they had in stock for my type of car and pricing if I were to replace the tires. He pulled up a list and offered his suggestion for a good, mid-priced tire. He didn't try to hard sell me which I appreciated. I told him I'd have to think about it since it's a large $ purchase. He gave me his card and wrote down the stock number of the tire we talked about. He said if I wanted to go with replacing the tires, to call him a day or two before I wanted to come in (esp if it was a weekend) and he would setup an appointment for me, and the process would take maybe an hour. The pricing (for the same tires that I had previously purchased from Costco) was comparable to Costco's. Sure, Costco has sales from time to time where you can save $70 when you purchase 4 tires, but it's a half day of my time to have tires replaced at Costco because I usually take a weekday off from work so I can get there right when they open and hopefully be done by noon. Gaining 3 hours of my day is worth the slightly higher cost. I would definitely recommend America's Tire. The online appointment feature was very convenient, the staff was friendly and professional, and the service was very quick and painless. read more

I went in for the first time because I had a check tires signal on my van. Jesus went outside with me to check my tires and he quickly found the nail in my back tire which was causing the problem. Thirty minutes later, Chris tells me that my tire was patched and that I was good to go. These guys have excellent customer service, highly recommend them! read more

Noticed my passenger rear tire was low. Stopped in and they found a small screw stuck on the inside of the tire. He said it would take about and hour and a half as there were 5 cars ahead of me. I gave him my cell # and walked down to the Pruneyard to get some food. About 45 minutes later I walked back and they were just finishing it up. They plugged the leak and filled the rest of the tires as needed. The cost? $0. Wow. What else can you get for free nowadays? Next time I need new tires I'm definitely coming back here. read more

Needed a new set of tires on my car so called 2 other shops to compare pricing and this place was pretty competitive. When I called they gave me some pricing for a variety of tires and offered some suggestions. I told them what I was looking for and headed down. Howie was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and I was only waiting about 10 min after I arrived, but was greeted upon entry and told someone will be with me. Good sign. The place was buzzing with early morning customers and I could tell this place was cranking out tires for their customers. This place runs like a well oiled machine and every staff was helpful and courteous to all the customers from what I saw and heard. I paid my bill, left the key and about 1.5 hours later got the call and picked up my car with nice new tires and a solid guarantee that included free tire rotation for the life of my tires (up to 55K miles) and free replacement if tire fails (nail/screw, blowout, etc.) This company is reputable and the best in the area. I yelped a bunch of places and this place is close to my work so I was looking for good prices, good service and convenience. Check this shop out. You won't be disappointed. I like easy and they made it easy. Pretty good place with nice and helpful staff. I talked to Jonte there and he offered a free tire repair! Awesome because I really didn't want to pay $20 or so dollars to get it fixed somewhere else. If there's anything I can get free nowadays, I am SO there. Anyways, Jonte made my appointment for the next day and I went in happily. I left pretty pleased with the work but had to dock down a star just cuz it seemed pretty busy and would def. help if they had more staff assisting customers. But because they offered the free tire fix I went next door to CVS and picked up a bunch of candy to say thanks for their work. They ate it up with joy. read more

It was time to have my tires rotated last week, before my big trip, so I dropped into America's tire for my free tire rotation and air level check. The man who checked me into took the opportunity to educate me about my rusty, rusty wheels and how that can affect my car, my mileage and my safety, but, also, assured me that there was no real reason (except cosmetic) to put new wheels on now. i must've called a good handful on places to see how much it would cost to patch a tire...every single place told me 20-25 bucks...which i thought was absurd. and then finally, i got in touch with america's tire company. "Hi. How much do you charge for patching a tire?" "If we are able to patch the tire, we'll take care of it for you...free of charge." "WHAT??????? YES!!! thank you!" yes...FREE OF CHARGE. so i made an appointment online...which was the best thing to do cause this place was pretty busy. the guy told me it would take less than 45 minutes because i have an appointment. for walk ins, people had to have someone come pick them up because it would be a few hours. anyhoo, i had a nail stuck in my tire...but i was sitting there twiddling my thumbs for awhile because i was hoping that it could be fixed...although i was prepared to purchase a new one just in case. well, to my surprise...the nail didn't puncture the tire deep enough to cause any damage. yaaaaaay!!! i was in and out in a matter of minutes...i love this place. they are my heroes... read more

Always good service. They price match anyone, which is why I always come here. Quick service and friendly staff. Only complaint was they weren't totally knowledgeable about training my new OEM Motorcraft sensors I had them install in my car. They said it needed to be done by a Ford dealer. I did a little research, and all I had to do was put the car (Ford Escape) into TPMS 'learning mode' (looked it up on YouTube) and then they were able to teach the car the new sensors with their tool. Not a big deal but if I hadn't known better I would have had to go get them set up somewhere else after having America's Tore install them. I called this location to see if they had the scanner to read the TPMS codes and reprogram the new codes into the the ecu for the new rims and tires I just had put on. (the new sensors were already inside the sealed tire). They said they could do it just come on in. So I went there and a fellow named Greg helped me at the front desk. He took down all my information and still had me in the system from over 10+ years ago. He explained to me a few things about TPMS and tire pressure and said they would try to reset the light and wrote it up as TPMS reset. I saw the tire tech pull my truck back into bay and I went out to watch. He asked me if it was my truck and asked me about what exactly they were doing. I told him that I need the codes scanned inside the tire and entered into the trucks ecu to turn off the TPMS light. The tech immediately knew what I was talking about and said he could do it. So he aired up all the tires and took out the bartec 400 scanner, held them up to each sensor (inside the tire) to get the new codes. The tech then plugged the scanner into the OBD port under the driver side dash and changed the codes. After a few minutes the TPMS light shut off. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. It's been a while for one of my compelling reviews but I needed to give these guys a free plug. Net net when your looking for tires or service come here! I came in with a flat tire and judging from my previous experience with these type of places in the past I wasnt looking forward to the "OH you need to replace all your tires" bait and switch. I was pleasantly surprised to witness that didnt happen here. They took my car in right away mind you there was a line on a Saturday and fixed my tire within an hour .... "Sir" everything was "Sir" here "Sir your car is ready you had 2 nails and we also fixed your tire sensor" I haven't had anyone offer to fix that damn sensor since I've had the car. Me "SO how much??" Tire guy "no charge" ... WTF Wow thank you!!!! These guys are getting my business when I need tires and you should consider them as well. read more

I made an appointment for early the next morning and the sales person was professional, friendly, and accurate about how much time it would take to do the job. Best of all, my tire was patched for free...something that never happens these days! The technician simply said that he hoped I would return there the next time I need new tires. I have been to this place twice and both times been really pleased. Sometimes you feel like you're getting taken for a bit of a ride (pardon the pun) when you go to car places and you aren't a 6'2' dude, so, finding places that you trust is can be excessively momentous. The folks who work here are very friendly and they seem to genuinely try to get you the best price they can--be that finding the least expensive replacement tire or through some combination of their specials. I'm OCD, so, I won't put different kinds of tires on my car (i.e., all four have to be the same brand, model, etc), which naturally results in me paying more than I would if I weren't a spaz. In light of this quality, the guy who helped me last time (I ran over what appeared to be shrapnel, so, no repairing that tire) played with the computer for about 3 minutes until he found a way to charge me less than the quoted price, plus insurance on the tire. They changed it in about an hour. Me and my four matching tires went home happy. read more

I was directed to America's Tire by Pirelli North America to have warranty service performed on a Pirelli tire for my sisters 2006 Mini Cooper. She actually purchased the tires from Mini of Stevens Creek (please read that review), not from America's Tire. Upon contacting America's Tire I advised them of my scenario. They were more than helpful and eagerly setup an appointment for me to take my car to them. I took the Mini to them, they looked at the Pirelli tire, confirmed that it appeared to be a defect. They contacted Pirelli (I had a case number) and called me a few minutes later. We were advised that they would replace the tire right away and that Pirelli will cover the entire replacement cost. All I had to pay for was mounting and balancing - which seemed fair as I did not buy the tires from them. The whole time I was dealing with them - it was pleasant. Even though I did not buy the tires from them, it was clear they wanted to earn my business. And earn my business they did. I used to buy all my tires from Wheel Works, but due to my recent interactions with them (read review) - I am proud to say that I am now an America's Tire customer. My sister has learned better and will no longer buy tires from the car dealer. She is now an America's Tire customer too. Since this experience I purchased tires for my Lexus and Honda Hybrid. At each and every turn, they were nice, competitively priced, professional and honest. I've had two incidents with the tires I purchased from America's Tires. Each time they stood behind them. Never any BS. They even went out of their way to special order me a replacement 14" Bridgestone low-rolling resistance tire - which is no longer made. These guys know about customer service! I noticed an indicator light on my car's dash telling me my air pressure was off. So, I called America's Tire today to ask about tire rotation - I knew I needed to have this done anyway, and figured the tire pressure would be fixed at the same time. I spoke to Paul, he said 'no problem, bring in your car and we'll have it done right away'. -The Toyota dealership said it would be a minimum of a 2.5 hour wait! Upon brining in my van into America's Tire, it was discovered that my car didnt have the lug nut key needed to remove the lug nuts/tires (it was never returned by Jiffy Lube where took it to last time for tire rotation). Also, it was discovered that one of my rear tires had a nail in it. Ugh, So, now my tire is leaking air (thus the indicator light), and I have no way to fix it! Not only this, but I needed to pick up my daughter from school in a possibly unsafe car. The guy I was speaking with said they would remove the lug nuts using a special tool, but it would cost $40. I was considering my options when Paul came up and said they would go ahead & fix it for free! I was amazed. I didnt even buy my tires here, but they said they would just go ahead and fix it so I would be safe. They also said once I was able to get a new lug nut tool, they would go ahead and rotate/balance my tires. They fixed it quickly, and then thanked *me* for coming by.! Wow. Its been a long time since I've experienced such top not customer service. I was truly blown away by the level of care, and the fact that they didnt even charge me a dime for helping me with my problem. Next time I need tires, you know where I'm headed. I needed two new tires this morning. I discovered this fact at about 12:5am. I called the store before 8am, and was greeted by a confident, understanding voice that quickly assessed my needs and quoted a price within my budget. When I arrived the place was busy - every service advisor was helping customers. When it was my turn, we went out, took a look at my tires, and the advisor confirmed the quote I had been given over the phone, and made some additional recommendations (most at no additional cost) to get the most for my money, and to get the best out of the tires I had selected. While I waited (less than an hour) for my tires to be mounted, I had the opportunity to listen to the business of the morning. I remain VERY impressed. When they answer the phone, they do so with a tone of voice that indicates that 1) they are eager to help the customer resolve any issues, 2) they assume the customer is intelligent, and in cases where the customer doesn't know much about tires, they patiently and respectfully help the customer understand, and 3) they like what they do. Each customer is treated with respect, which should be true anywhere. But this team goes one step above. They are so genuine in the way they work with everyone. They are upbeat, polite, and work quickly. And it isn't just this store...this is how I have always been treated at every America's Tire I've visited. Every time. We all need tires at one point or another. The prices are great (and they have a price matching program), and the service is exceptionally great. Why go anywhere else? read more

The staff at this shop were helpful and professional the last time I needed to order tires. They're close to my office, so I was able to walk over the place the order for tires, and then drop the car off when they arrived a couple of days later. They were fast and pretty affordable, so no complaints at all about their service. I had a set of winter wheels for my car (winter = driving to Tahoe) and the guys at Am Tire Co were happy to swap wheels at no extra charge. It seems like they're willing to go the extra mile to make sure you're happy, without nickle and diming you for everything. The only negative with this location is that the parking lot is fairly small, and access to the parking area can be tricky during rush hour from Hamilton Ave. That said, its not that big a deal at all. I definitely recommend this shop. Update --- 11/19/2007 I just got another set of tires, this time on my Volvo V50. I got Goodyear Eagle F1's, which are awesome so far. I visited this location of America's Tire due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback left here on Yelp. I think those reviews are accurate--I had a great experience here. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately helped by a very nice salesman, and was given an accurate estimate of the time it'd take to get the job done. My tire was repaired for free, and I was on my way without any hassle. At first, a warranty package for all the tires was mentioned, but after my lukewarm acknowledgment of the offer, it wasn't brought up again. I only had two concerns: no one called me when the work was done, so I could have actually gotten out of there sooner than I did; and they forgot to return the wheel lock to me, so I had to stop by later in the day to pick it back up. Other than that, I was really pleased with the service provided, and will definitely be back when it's time to purchase new tires. read more

Great service. Fair Pricing. Staff here kept me constantly up to date on how long my car was going to take. I had my 2 front tires replaced here recently and it ran about $120/tire = after taxes and fees $280 and took about 45 minutes. This America's Tire only had 1 of my tires in stock, but was able to order (free of charge) the other tire from another store in a matter of days! Very conveniently located next to 2 Starbucks, a Noah's bagel, and shopping center so you can go for a walk and they will call you when your car is done. read more

I was a bit skeptical about all of the positive reviews of this place, but I have to agree that I received very good service here. I had to purchase a replacement tire, as one busted on me, and I had to change the tire in the middle of the street. I called this place based solely on the reviews from Yelp. They had my tire in stock, and had it mounted within 45 minuted of my arrival. -1 star because I felt a little pressured to purchase warranties, not just for my new tire, but for my existing tires as well. I wasn't in a mood to be "sold to" at this point. I had to change a tire in the middle of the street, the kids were screaming in the car, and I was already two hours late to work. My first exposure to this particular location of America's Tire was some 20 months back, when I had one tire with a slow leak and one tire that was dangerously bald on a car I was set to sell in a week or two. The techs at this location managed to fix my slow leak and actually located a used tire they gave me FOR FREE once I explained the situation. One of those "look, we'd sell you new tires if you wanted, but since you're getting rid of the car..." situations. That said, when I needed new tires for my Hyundai I went to Costco first because my parents always go there. Costco didn't do appointments, was going to take three hours, and only had tires that cost $190/each. Oh, and when I say "had," really what I mean is "would have had," because they had none in stock. So I ordered tires through discounttire.com which came along with a built-in ability to make a reservation. I loved that their reservations went as late as 5:30PM, but made the appointment for 4:15PM today. I ended up freeing myself early, so I called at about 2PM and changed the reservation to 3:15PM. I dropped off the car at 3PM and at 3:33PM (according to my phone logs) they called me to let me know they were done. Oh, and the tires -- pretty decent, reasonably rated -- were $100/each (though after all the installation costs, tax, replacement warranty, etc, they came to $143.75 out the door. Not bad, compared to Costco's $186 before all the charges). They've won my business. read more

I needed two new tires for my car, so I came here. I'm very happy I did! I heard that you can try to make an appointment for faster service, but they also take "walk-ins." I called first and the person on the phone said that their appointments were all booked for the day, but I should just come in because it wasn't that busy. When I parked my car to go inside I was immediately welcomed by one of the employees and was asked what I needed. The staff was super friendly and very professional. My fiancé had previously bought tires for my car, a while ago, at America's Tires, but at another location...but this time (I bought the same tires as last time) they were cheaper. I'm all about saving money, so that was a nice surprise. I had picked this location because it was near many shops (and Fry's Electronics) that I could walk to if the wait was long. Someone told me it could take 45min to an hour, so I was prepared to go take a nice walk and get some coffee while I waited. Well, I didn't have to wait very long. It took MAYBE 15-20mins to get my car back. I was told I came at a perfect time and it can usually take a little longer. The service was fast and efficient ...the staff was wonderful and the price was reasonable. I am a happy customer and I will definitely come back read more

After having been to the ATC on Stevens Creek Blvd and getting a disastourous "wheel balance" I made an appointment at the Campbell branch in frustration as I just wanted to get my car back to normal again ASAP. I arrived on time and was served promptly. I explained that the car had been to the Stevens Creek branch and the wheel balance had got worse since then. As soon as they had removed the wheels and checked the current balance the technician came through to tell me they were all out of balance (up to 1.5 ounces on one wheel, which is a lot) The store manager also spoke to me and said he wanted to test drive the car once the balancing was done to make sure everything was ok. Glad to say the balance is now 100% perfect, thanks to the guys in the Campbell branch. Oh, and they didn't charge me either. Nice to see some professional customer service these days. My wife's Lexus RX350 had problem with one of its tires America's TIRE found and fixed this problem. They did it for free. Also I was advised that tires on this vehicle are close to 3/32 and need replacement soon. I was given quote for this job. I just came home and check out prices on internet. America's TIRE price looks to me attractive in comparison with whatever I found on internet. I also like their customer service attitude. Specifically I was helped by Alan. Francisco Hector inspected my car and determined I had a nail in my tire and he patched it up for me very quickly!! I didn't have an appointment, I showed up at 1pm and he took care of the leak. Also, Minh at the front desk checked me in and instead of ripping me off and making me pay for a new tire since I only had 1,900 miles currently on my tires, he mentioned I'll most likely just need to get the leak patched as long as it was repairable . Amazing customer service from the get go. I had called because they had the ONE tire I needed in stock. I spoke with Mack and said I probably couldn't get there until 5pm because of work and they said that's fine, they'll get it taken care of. My husband ended up getting the car in earlier and explained Toyota dealership had told us we would have to pay $240 for a new tire because it was not repairable as it had a nail in it. First all America's Tire offers some of the best deals so that was our plan. But after the car was dropped off, they called us and said the tire WAS repairable and it's all fixed. My husband went to pay and they wouldn't accept anything. Needless to say we will be taking care of all our tire need with America's Tire! Thank you Campbell location!!! You save me lots! ...OK, where do I start regarding the Campbell location? Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever received from a tire retailer, and I thought Skip's Goodyear was bad. I am so sorry that I actually bought tires from them for both of our cars. I've been working in retail environments for years, and do customer service training for a major U.S. corporation, and these guys are absolutely deplorable. These guys somehow managed to upset me twice in one day, when I dropped off the car and when I picked it up from service. Want to make a customer upset? Make them wait for 10 minutes before even getting helped, even if there is only one customer in front of you (no joke). Want to add fuel the fire? While waiting for any type of help at all, look through the glass door of the service area, and watch up to 4 random guys goofing off and trying to do anything but go to the customer service counter, where they might actually be productive. Want to make them more upset? Have the exact same thing happen when you pick up your car, but then have the rep ignore you and start typing away on the computer after helping the customer in front of you, as if you didn't even exist. No sorry, nothing. Do these guys even get training on how to deal with the public? Also, no use making an appointment over the phone, they will still make you wait even when you show up on time. Good prices? Maybe so, but I would gladly pay more to get consistently good service and to be treated with at least some form of respect. Will never go to the Campbell\Hamilton location again. Used to be a good place but disappointing now. I made appointment and waited two hours, then they told me there was a mistake and the tires where not in stock. With my car on the rack and wheels off they would only offer me other tire at higher cost. I complained and they would not work with me, only told me to make a new appointment after the tires came in. Two and half hours of my wasted! I will never go back there!!! read more

This is is the last time I take my car to America's Tire Company. My advice to anyone who has a premium vehicle (or just premium wheels) - do not trust this company with them! I brought in a brand new set of 4 pristine wheels to fit to my car and two of them were damaged in the process of tire fitting and balancing.
