So first let me start off with the fact that I had the absolute WORST stomach flu after eating this place. I've never been in more pain in my life and it was the only thing I ate that day. Do not ever eat here. All the meat is in a pan and they pull it and place it into the oven and they don't even cook it through. The chicken was dry, cold, and not flavorful at all. I'm sorry but this place is kind of pathetic. It's a great concept but the food is subpar and the service is horrible. I was waiting in line and was skipped twice. The cashier was dismissive and spoke rudely. I used to work in customer service and was appalled because if I ever spoke in such a "eye rolling" tone to my customers, I would have been fired. This is located in Terminal A. For an international terminal, there aren't very many food options. This is like one of 3. My sister and I ordered the Middle Eastern sampler and it ended up being basically a Mediterranean themed Lunchables both in quality and presentation but was like triple the price. Three stars positive points for the GENEROUS AMOUNT of salami for my sandwich. I had plenty to share with my little sister...multiple times. However what ruined it for me were the workers' attitude and vibe. I had a stomachache this morning so I was worried about what I would have for breakfast. I didn't want to eat cold food so I asked to have my sandwich toasted. The three workers all looked at one another and it seemed like they were annoyed.. Dude, your food is expensive as it is and you didn't seem to care about customer service. Advice to management - hire friendly workers. Like, be chill. I came here for breakfast for a very early flight out. I was disappointed in general at the limited number of options for an early meal in the international terminal. Amoura was the best option. The breakfast options weren't extravagant, but they were reasonable, and the service was friendly. Seating is a bit limited and crowded, especially since many of the tables and chairs are close to the condiment station. read more

It's slim pickins when it comes to food at SFO's international terminal. I was on the brink of passing out, so I stroll into Amoura Cafe (it being the closest to my gate). The food looked good, and oh how my eyes deceived me. I choose a spanakopita, pesto, and bottled water. I was even asked if I would like my spanakopita heated, and I say yes. Well whatever they used to heat up my spanakopita must be broken because it was still cold when they handed it to me. It was dry, lacked flavor, and tasted old. The spanakopita just didn't do it for me-I didn't even finish it. But the pesto was decent. What sucked even more was this "meal" cost $17. I would've been happier with a bag of trail mix from the magazine store nearby. read more

Four stars for two reasons: The prices are the most reasonable of anything in the International Terminal, ($9 for a sandwich vs. $17 or so at woodfire grill), and, though I didn't know it, they'll make you a fresh sandwich with your choice of breads and toppings instead of buying a packaged one like I did. I just happen to hear someone in line as I was eating my sandwich that requested this, and they were happy to make her one fresh. Let's be frank, the food options in the International Terminal at SFO are lackluster at best. I think there are 4. None are very impressive. I guess San Francisco just doesn't care about our international friends! (I kid, I kid) If you are here and in need of a quick bite, Amoura is likely the best bet. It's freshly made Greek/Turkish fare. It's not cheap, but its nice. I had a Chef's Salad and a serving of dolmade, and...baklava. I was very hungry and staring down an 11 hour redeye flight so a filling meal was definitely necessary. This hit the spot. For $23. Like I said, it's not going to be cheap but it is going to be real food. Life is full of trade offs. There are a few seats inside, but its cramped. You'd be better off taking it to go and eating in the seating arrangements in the median of the terminal. All in all -- just fine, and the best of the rest I assure you. read more

Solid, easy, quick breakfast on the run! After a very fun evening I was craving something carby and delicious and after checking a couple of spots I decided on Amoura. They have a great selection of fresh made sandwiches (I heard her say everything was made that morning), great looking salads, and well thought out platters (falafel? Dolmades? Yes please!) I ordered a bacon breakfast sandwich with potatoes and was very efficiently shuffled down the line. By the time I got to cash my paper wrapped sandwich was waiting with a separate plastic container of potatoes. I took my food to the condiment station, threw some Tabasco and ketchup on that bad boy and prepared to chow down. The inside of the cafe isn't super appealing - neon light and super busy doesn't entice me to stay, so I took a stroll down the concourse. The sandwich was fresh, hot, and tasty, with crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, and gooey cheese. The potatoes were surprisingly good - very well seasoned with bits of onion and pepper mixed in. I won't blame Amoura Cafe for my recent stomach-flu/food-poisoning experience, but it was the last thing I alone ate before repatriating the contents of my GI tract in various ways and in sundry places last week. It looks really promising. It's set up like a deli, with big glass cases showing off what look like delicious Middle Eastern treats. I got an overpriced, unimpressive salad, which unfortunately was pre-made (should have been my first clue). The salad was not good. It wasn't terrible, but it had no character and even less flavor. The woman ahead of me in line wanted to order a few of the deli-style items, but apparently, ordering individual items from what looks like a display case is either strictly prohibited or highly unusual. I couldn't understand why the workers--and it took two of them to figure out what she wanted--had so much trouble with her order. Two items and some kind of bread with which to wrap it up. They kept asking her which of the combos or whatever on the menuboard she wanted, and she patiently restated her simple request. (This should have been my second clue.) No, she didn't want a wrap, and no, she didn't want a wrap after the guy had asked her whether she wanted a wrap for the fourth time. Also, I assume when I order something to go that I will get napkins. Nope, just a fork in the gigantic plastic bag they gave me, which I didn't realize until I was all the way at the gate, which was down a pretty long escalator from anything. If I can't blame Amoura for my stomach problems, at least I can blame them for the dressing stain on my T-shirt. read more

The food is decent. I had a plate with falafel, pita, hummus, and tabouleh. However, the problem occured when I asked the cashier for a cup of water. She directed me to a water fountain somewhere in the terminal. She asked me if I had a problem with it and I said, "YES." Then while I was consuming my meal in the seats outside of the storefront, the manager and a disgruntled employee sat down at a table in front of me and subsequently got in a heated discussion. I go to San Francisco couple times a year for work and I discovered this gem of a deli. I've gotten food to eat on the plane from this cafe twice now. The tabouli is fresh, falafal warm, pita soft, hummus tasty. I really can't complain. If this deli existed outside of the airport, it would probably still be one of my favorite spots to pick up food. Went here to grab a sandwich after being unimpressed by the other options in the terminal. After looking through the remade sandwiches, I opted for a turkey sandwich on focaccia. The sandwich was a decent size for the price, but it as mostly bread and had hardly any meat. Also, the bread was barely edible as it was extremely dry. Furthermore, the whole flavor of the sandwich was pretty bland and was not very satisfying--I'd probably skip this place and try your luck somewhere else. read more

While waiting for our midnight flight, boyfriend and I were hoping to grab a meal at a restaurant at the SF airport, but mostly everything was closed. So, we popped into Amoura Cafe. I was pretty impressed at the food selection, especially the Mediterranean foods which were kind of unique. This section offers dolmas, falafel, spanakopita, hummus, along with other favorites. An array of coffees and coffee drinks are also on the menu including white chocolate and caramel flavors. I ordered the three bean salad and hummus snack cup which were great. However, the price is ridiculous. For a cup of hummus with cucumber and carrot stick $6.95?! Despite the ridiculous price, a great option for meals on the go. Wine and beer are offered to. If there is ONE thing that I really cannot handle with grace...it is this: A cashier trying to cheat customers. YES...I do NOT look stupid, perhaps Keyla thought that a mom with a child will be easily fooled...Perhaps it is easier to cheat unsuspecting tourists who do not speak a lick of English...I am Asian (multilingual one)...perhaps it was just too tempting. My sister and my daughter were with me - we ordered 2 hot teas. It came to $5.07 - it was right there on the cash register. Keyla kept telling me it was $6.07, even after I pointed to the cash register. Her co-worker obviously knew about her plan...whispered to her and she corrected herself. Although by then, she looked REALLY MAD and was huffy with me. Now, how can a cafe allow this? Not sure...BEWARE!!! The staff seems to all be in it. Just had a very good experience with the management and staff at Amoura cafe sfo One of our staff lost his wallet at Cafe while catching flight out of SFO .He could not call cafe for several hours due to long international flight. Juan was so nice and accommodating not to mention proving that kind trusting human being still exit in our world. Juan met me outside of security handed over my workmates wallet so I could get it back to him safe and sound, what a great outcome for what could of been very tragic case of stolen identity and cash. Found out also that our whole office frequents the cafe on flights out of SFO, everyone said the Greek salad and tabbouleh are really delicious. read more

Excellent service. They keep moving line fast. In this terminal there are only three places to eat. The Middle Eastern Combo Plate was excellent. Humus, falafel, tabbouleh, and pita bread was very good for airport food. The side of Greek Salad was excellent as well. A little warm if you score a table inside. With airport food you can usually be sure of two things. Sub par quality and high prices. While this Mediterranean Cafe is a little pricy, the food was amazing, especially for being one of a few restaurants open at 6am. I ordered the breakfast croissant with bacon. I got no cheese which was easy for them to accommodate. It was hot and soft, and it came with potatoes! The orange juice was fresh squeezed, and the fruit cup was all ripe. My bf got the mixed platter and he loved it, they even warmed up the parts that taste better hot. Totally happy with this meal before my flight, try it! Your belly will thank you. read more

I just had one of the best airport breakfasts I've had in a long time!! The bacon was crisp, but not too crisp(!), the eggs were fluffy, the potatoes were well seasoned and tasty. I saw 3 people working that all appeared to be at least 60 years old. They were quick and efficient; just what you need at 5 in the morning after having slept in a food booth all night. This is one of the most quality airport food places I've ever been to! And I've been everywhere from Gatwick to Narita and have survived some very terrible airport food! At Amoura Cafe, I was very impressed with the variety of fresh and healthy food available at a fair price (considering the abhorrent price of airport food). I enjoyed my Mediterranean omelette and received very warm customer service. Unlike most grab and go patrons, I had the time to sit down and enjoy my meal. Well worth it. The potatoes were a bit overcooked but it was sheer joy to see some very tasty kalamata olives buried in my hot off the fryer omlette. They didn't skimp on the feta either. I would definitely recommend my fellow hungry travelers at SFO to give Amoura a try. The price is on par with other airport venues but at Amoura you get a lot more bang for your buck. read more

Seems like they hire bottom-of-the-barrel folks with 0 customer service skills. They obviously have no passion for their jobs, which is to work at a cafe at an airport. I usually try to get a really early flight from California back to New York and without fail amoura greets me with spinakota hummus and good ole eggs and bacon. It's not quite what I want in the morning and the way the bacon is served make them necessarily a little bit soggy. Yet in the dawn they have a monopoly over terminal A. So, that fourth star might be a tiny bit overinflated, but I fly out of this terminal constantly and Amoura is the only place that stocks what I require at 6am - sparkling water. Their prepackaged and made to order items look and sound a lot better than any other options in the terminal & are cheaper than the tapas plate that you can order on Virgin America, but I've never been hungry enough at that hour to realize that purchasing the Mediterranean plate might be a good idea. Ordered the Amoura Breakfast Special, choose a meat, eggs and potatoes with toast. I got mine with bacon and scrambled eggs. $9.76 total (with the tax). It should be a 3.5 stars but I'm rounding up to 4 since the food was decent and the price was less than $10. Bacon was med-thick and crunchy, and eggs were fluffy. Toast was pretty good and potatoes were alright. Service was good, nothing special, but they seemed pretty quick and on it considering the constant barrage of customers coming in. You can either pick out pre-made cold foods (e.g. sandwiches, salads, or drinks) from the shelf. Or you can order hot meals at the counter. It was semi busy, maybe 2 people in line ahead of me, and my order took less than 10 mins to make. They also serve beer, although I didn't opt for one (I can imagine how much one cost). There are 4 small tables inside. Or there are comfortable lounge seats with tables outside in the hallway area, which we sat at -- that made for a better relaxing experience for sure. Although this wouldn't be at the top of my list of places to grab food, sometimes you have to just go with what is right there in front of you as you're heading to your gate to catch your flight. read more
