I was the only person there for lunch--I think most people get takeout from here. I asked for hot & sour soup "extra sour," and it was, but it had nothing in it except broth and tofu! I've never had such a plain soup before. Also had the pot stickers -- they were ok, nice and crispy but oddly pink inside. The woman serving me was friendly and nice, but the condiments (the hot oil, vinegar, dipping sauce, etc) seemed very grimy. Next time I'll get takeout most likely. read more

We absolutely love Amy's Chinese kitchen. The owner is so nice, accommodating and is always so welcoming and attentive. Food is hot and fresh made to order. The crab ragoons were my favorite. From the outside this place looks not so great. If I were being honest I'd say it's a bit creepy. Not because of anything this restaurant can control. I think because of its location you see some unsavory characters hanging out in front. I had been tempted to try this place many times and yesterday finally took the plunge. Fantastic food. Fresh. Hot and really flavorful. I had the combo chow mein and there were big pieces of meat and even the shrimp was a good size and deveined! You almost never see that at Chinese restaurants. I also ordered the spicy pork with green beans, and requested extra spicy and it was. The portions are huge, which is why we also had some for dinner. Covid practices are very safe. In fact they took my order over the phone, delivered my food to my car and took payment curbside. I felt very safe. I recommend this place for sure. read more

Orange chicken was super dry so I couldn't even finish it. Potstickers were just average. Pork Buns had hardly any filling. There was hardly any pork, mostly just bun. I am always on the hunt for delicious Chinese food and with this place highlighted recently in the local yelp and the almost 5 star rating I had to try it. We had the place to ourselves for most of the meal because we went at a strange hour between lunch and dinner but service and food didn't disappoint. We ordered the Peking dinner each. This consists of hot and sour soup, bbq pork fried rice, orange chicken and Mongolian beef. 3 of the 4 dishes are my favorites so I was excited and these dishes are my typical go to orders for Chinese as a benchmark so to speak when trying a new spot. Food was good; hot and sour especially had great flavor with a surprising amount of heat in the soup which was lovely. I think this will sounds strange but I loved the texture of the soup which can sometimes feel greasy or oily and this one didn't. The orange chicken could have been a tad crunchier to hold up to the thick orange sauce but flavor was good. Mongolian beef was good; I like the meat cut just a bit thinner but again flavor was good. The fried rice was good; bbq pork was more luscious than most I've had which was nice. The rice was dark which was a bit strange but overall none of the food felt greasy and all of it had great flavor. Definitely worthy of a repeat visit. read more

Son and I had couple of lunch specials one afternoon last week and it was delicious. Pricing was very reasonable. Cup of soup, fried wonton appetizer was included and the portions of Chow mein and Sesame chicken were very generous on my plate. Very flavorful and didn't need to use any soy sauce like usual. Our new favorite Chinese restaurant! We have eaten there twice in the last month and been quite pleased both times. You can tell food has been made fresh and it is tasty. I have never have been a big fan of Chinese food, but Amy's is changing my mind. I read the reviews and felt like Amy's Chinese Kitchen would be a safe bet for Chinese food to go. The man on the phone was quite nice. My daughter picked up the food and said the man there was nice. I really wanted to like the food. I have been sick all weekend with a head cold so was craving some hot hearty soup. Being that I don't eat meat I ordered the Tofu & Veggie Soup. What arrived was like no soup I've seen before. The container had clear liquid with some diced carrots & peas (looked like the kind that come in the freezer section) and diced tofu. I prayed that perhaps the transparent broth secretly contained magnificent flavor. However, after I added soy sauce and hot Mongolian Oil is was still plain. Hi he small size was $7 and I just couldn't eat it. So disappointed. My daughter said the eggplant garlic dish was tasty and the pork buns pretty good. We ordered from Amy's during Wild Card Football weekend- a little treat for dinner during playoffs. We ordered online for delivery to our home. 45 min they said. $65 for 2 meals and an appetizer. An hour later, food hadn't arrived. Happened to look outside and realized our food was left out on our front porch- no knock, didn't ring the bell, no text, just sitting out there in the rain and cold. Got said meals inside- everything cold and no rice or utensils for anything. Called the restaurant to inquire & were told 'rice is an extra purchase, read the whole menu next time.' Haven't ever seen meals come without steamed rice, or if so then THE MENU SPECIFIED AS SUCH. So rude, poor service, over-priced, and poor quality food.
