The first time I went to Ananas, they blew me away with their Brazilian Blue Cloud smoothie. The second time it was another employee and it not only didn't look as beautiful as the previous but the taste was off. I called them and offered them some constructive criticism, the employee apologized (did not offer an incentive to come back) but I think everyone and that includes businesses, have a day where things are off. I'm so excited there's a new coffee shop in Walnut Creek!! This was formerly Cream. I showed up around 30 min before closing. The cafe was well lit and clean. The owners were super nice and I learned they were from Turkey! So coincidental - since I'm about to visit Turkey in a few weeks. They even provided recommendations. Ube cold foam tastes like nothing, probably just food coloring. Had low expectations as soon as I saw it on the counter. Tiramsu coffee was watery (also added sweetener), the regular cold foam saved it. I make better coffee & matcha at home. I regret ever coming here & spending so much money. It is CRIMINAL how expensive this place is. $15 for the korean bread is ridiculous. Came here for this...should be worth $7 at most. It was so sweet, was expecting savory. I got the biscoff brioche ($5), it was TINY and was given the wrong one, didn't notice until I left and bit into it. The bread was dry as hell. Lastly, the pizza bun ($5) tasted just like turmeric and pepperoni. Also VERY DRY. On top of everything, I was literally the only person there and it took 20 minutes for two drinks and food that just needed to be reheated, there were three workers behind the counter. Matcha was absolutely disgusting. I threw it away after two sips. The service was incredibly slow. It took 10 mins for the workers to even acknowledge me and the fact that I had placed an order. So I'm not sure what happened, me and my girlfriend tried this place maybe a month ago and got the banana cream lattes and we loved it! It was so good in fact we had to come back the next day and get it again. It was phenomenal.... But then we just came today excited to get our favorite banana cream latte, only to be completely disappointed. The banana cream was no longer a thick hand made cream with real banana pieces, it was a cheap fake banana pudding squeezed on top. We came to this place like 3 weeks ago and had the best banana latte ever. It had real banana pieces and a thick cream. It was so good we came back 2 days in a row. We got one regular coffee and one decaf and they had an amazing strong decaf. The best we had ever had. Today we came back to get the same thing and everything was different. There are no real banana pieces in the coffee, the regular coffee was super different and cheap tasing and there was just an artifical banana custard ontop. The decaf did not even taste like coffee. My family and I visited Ananas Coffee yesterday and were thoroughly impressed with the food and drinks we got! Worst coffee spot in Walnut Creek. The service was extremely cold and unwelcoming. My wife and I ordered two coffees and a breakfast burrito, which came out to about $35. Based on the reviews, we were excited to try this place. One of the coffees was actually very good, while the other was average at best. Things really went downhill when the breakfast burrito was being prepared. The man making it was using his personal cell phone while handling the food, which is a serious health and safety concern. When we asked for a refund on the burrito, he seemed confused and couldn't understand why this was an issue. We had to explain multiple times why using a phone while preparing food is unacceptable and unsanitary. Because of the poor service and lack of basic food safety standards, we will not be returning. read more

I was looking for a coffee shop to grab some drinks, this was the first one that came up on yelp since it was nearby so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Turkish coffee with some oatmilk and coconut syrup and he ordered a pineapple kombucha. Since it was my first time trying Turkish coffee I wanted to be amazed by the drink but I found it just okay. My boyfriend said the kombucha was pretty flat and tasted just okay as well. Best coffee in Walnut Creek! - if you are a big fan of the coffee from the Sunday farmers market, well let me tell you are in luck! They use the same coffee ZOLO brand and I'm so happy to know we have it permanently available in a place near home! Now I don't need to wait for Sunday to have it.
