Been wanting to try this place and during race weekend I met my friend there right next to the metro station. It was a little busy but my friend was already waiting for me. It's a nice open restaurant with a lot of seating and a covered patio outdoors. I kept my choice simple and had bacon and eggs and it was delicious. Fluffy eggs, plenty of bacon and crispy hash browns. The sourdough was good but I wished more butter was on them. My friend had the Ham, egg and cheese burrito which look well put together. It came with red and green salsa but the green was tolerable for both of us. I watched others get different things and they look pretty good. I will have to come back and try other dishes.

Tried the Cajun country skillet it was so delicious. From the gravy flavor, to the Cajun chicken flavor, to the eggs to the house potatoes everything was delicious. It is a generous portion had to take the rest to go.

A great corner location for some delicious breakfast and coffee. We shared the Cajun chicken and waffles and opted for the two egg two waffle Combo. We were torn between the Cajun chicken vs the Texas fried chicken so ordering a side of the Texas style checked that curiosity box. The Lavender Latte is made with two lavender pumps but I requested just one and the lavender flavor was perfectly balanced ... not overpowering the coffee. Service was friendly and helpful as this was our first visit so the server's suggestions made it easy for us to make our final decisions. A five star " best waffle spot" in the LBC. For & Waffles

This restaurant is in downtown Long Beach. A garage is conveniently located next door. The restaurant has cute decor and indoor and outdoor seating. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. The waffles were delicious. The chicken fried steak was pretty good. The eggs and potatoes needed seasoning, but I understand that most breakfast restaurants do not use much seasoning. They provided three different types of hot sauce, so I was satisfied.

We stopped into this place because it was next-door to our auto rental location. It's one of the best breakfast places we've ever been. The waffles are massive, but so incredibly light. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the staff was so incredibly nice. It's such a cute place in the middle of the city. We really loved it.

This was a really delicious skillet. It was packed full of potatoes. They didn't skimp out on anything. The service was also pretty fast for it being super busy. I would definitely eat here again!

We had a great experience here. We had never been and were curious about some menu items. The owner took our order. He was very patient, answering all my questions and giving recommendations. The breakfast was great, but the standout was the carryout burger we got for our kiddo. The burger was phenomenal. Great service, tasty food, and an easy walk from hotels near the mall and convention center.

Everything was delicious and the service was great. Eat here, you won't regret it. We had a combination of breakfast dishes and one lunch item - the steak sandwich with a side of salad. The breakfast items were perfectly done and they even split two of them up for us to share. Eggs and proteins were cooked just as we asked and then there's the star of the show: the waffles. These are some of the best "American style" (my terminology, not theirs) Belgian waffles I've ever had. They're light, fluffy inside and not very sweet- the ultimate Asian diner compliment. That's probably because they pair their waffles with everything from chicken to sausage to bacon to churro-ifying them, so a balanced base lets them use their waffles as the foundation for many different dishes. Ultimately what matters is the taste, and these did not disappoint! The steak sandwich was also great and delicious, meat cooked perfectly, with arugula helping add a flavor dimension to balance out the richness of the steak. The decor of the restaurant is a mix of modern industrial (like a breakfast Chipotle) and a hint of old American diner. It's clean and comfortable if a little lacking in pizazz. This is the first review I've written that uses that word. It will probably be the last. Anyways, eat here! It's great.

I visited this waffle spot twice, once for dine-in and once for a to-go order. The dine-in experience was fantastic. I loved the clean, spacious interior and stylish decor. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Cajun chicken wings and waffle. The wings were freshly fried hot, juicy, and crispy but they were a bit lacking in flavor. The waffle, though, was amazing: light, fluffy, crispy on the outside, and served hot. Just a tip: the powdered sugar and butter look beautiful on top, but I recommend getting the butter on the side so the waffle doesn't get soggy too quickly. The honey lavender latte tasted great, just very sweet. Unfortunately, the next morning's to-go order wasn't as good. I know it's tough to keep quality high with takeout, but the waffle was soggy, the eggs were hard, and only the bacon stood out. The breakfast feels a bit pricey for what you get, but it's a nice occasional treat.

Hands down one of the best breakfast meals I've ever had in my life. We came on a Monday morning at about 1030 and it was not too crowded. It definitely started to fill up after 11 AM. Our waitress was super nice and had recommendations for us. I decided to go with the waffle stuffed with sausage. It was the best waffle I've ever had in my life. My spouse had the chicken and waffles. He could not stop raving over how well the chicken was cooked and how delicious it was. Next time we are in Long Beach we will definitely be back. This place is amazing.

Been waiting for the place to open up and finally had the opportunity to go! I got a Waffle Combo with Strawberry & Nutella toppings. This comes with 3 eggs, 2 bacon, and 2 sausage (I had them substitute sausage for more bacon). Partner got Cajun Fried Chicken and Waffles with 3 eggs. We overall like the food, definitely would go again. They are ADA and dog friendly. They also have indoor and outside seating. Service is on top of it and accommodating as well.

Really great breakfast spot! We went before an expo at the hotel across the street. We were sat also immediately although the place was packed. Service was quick. They came, got you what you needed, dropped it off, checked on you, picked up the plates, dropped the check. It was just what is needed and they turn tables well. Vanilla iced coffee was amazing. I'd come back just for that. The country fried steak was so good and the biscuits and gravy plate was perfectly loaded and came with bacon and sausage. The place is nicely lit, decorated with calm vibes, and there's an outdoor area as well. I hope I'm around the area because I need this meal again! read more

The excitement of this wonderful restaurant expanding to the South Bay made my year. I am a long time customer in No Ho and Woodland Hills. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better- Boom! It got better. The Long Beach location is adorable, right in the heart of downtown. The food is so yummy and the service is excellent. The owner Serge is always so kind and friendly. Food: Their fried cinnamon swirl French toast was BOMB! I ordered the steak & eggs and let me tell you...(1) the size of the steak was way bigger than I imagine (and have gotten at other places). (2) UNFORTUNATELY, other places always over cook my steak...&Waffles got it just RIGHT (Medium Rare!) (3) my over easy eggs were also well cooked, which I extremely appreciate because I am usually upset at the fact that they ALWAYS overcook my eggs. Will be coming back to tryout the waffles! Service: the service was great! It picked up a little while we were already eating so the coffee refills did get a little slower, but not much of a problem there...just a good sign that the restaurant is doing great business wise. We were there right at opening time and we were very impressed by how many customers were there and still coming. Only went one time the chicken had absolutely no flavor in the waffles just tasted like waffles. There's nothing special about them for three people. We paid $85 for breakfast with no alcohol. In general, I don't eat this type of food. But... my coworkers really wanted to try this new place so I gave in to peer pressure and joined. Glad I did. Our waiter was awesome, later to find out he was the owner. We all had some sort of waffle and chicken and I was 100% sure I wasn't going to be able to eat mine as the portion looked huge. The waffles were perfectly made, light and crisp and tasted great. Same with the chicken, it was perfect fried light and crispy. Long story short, I inhaled my entire dish. The place was clean and busy. Hopefully they'll add some more tables soon. Can't wait to go back. read more

long beach loves waffles, that's for sure! cajun country skillet -- 10/10!!!! my boyfriend ordered this dish so i had to sneak a bite as quality control and was blown away by how flavorful and well seasoned this was. extremely filling portion and delicious. the gravy that comes with this is 10/10 on its own. i'd order this for myself next time! french toast combo -- 4/5 four slices of french toast, eggs to your liking (i got them scrambled), two sausages AND two slices of bacon. this was the perfect balance of salty and sweet and i really appreciated the amount of protein that comes with dish because most breakfast places give you either or. this was also extremely filling, you can't go wrong with this if you want to enjoy a classic breakfast. churro waffles -- 10/10!!!! WOW! i didn't get to have a bite of this until a couple hours later because i was so full from my meal but it still held up extremely well. the waffles are coated in cinnamon sugar and come with a side of condensed milk for you to drizzle over; the waffles were soft, fluffy, and light. delicious! we also received a free coffee which was delicious. i'm so excited to have found this gem here in long beach. come check it out! read more

Had an amazing experience with this place. The food was so good. The chicken is crispy, seasoned well, and very juicy. The waffles are also much bigger than expected so that was a plus. These plates were $21.99 each so I would say it's a good amount for the price. Service was a little shaky but they just opened so it's completely understandable! The overall atmosphere was also very lively, I just wish the music was a little quieter so people wouldn't have to yell over it to be heard. Overall 9/10 and would definitely come again! read more

Great dining experience. The cajun chicken was delicious, but the star of the show was the bacon waffle. I have never tried a waffle so flavorful, perfectly textured, and surprisingly not too sweet. My fiancé and I were met with delicious food and exceptional customer service. It really is difficult to find decent customer service nowadays! Daniel & Christian were just wonderful! Thank you both very much. Daniel sat us in a timely manner and was so courteous. Christian from start to finish, displayed textbook great service and added his genuine flare. Okayyyy now the FOOD. Hands down the BEST waffles ever. I am not a fan of dense and stodgy waffles. At this establishment, you can expect light, airy, with a light crisp waffles! So good!! We got the fried Cajun chicken wings and they came out piping hot; so fresh!! Christian suggested we get them a bit more crispier than normal and yumm.. don't get your wings any other way. If you are thinking of getting the specialty waffles, order the churro (cinnamon sugar) style! You won't regret it. read more

It was a second weekend they were open went on a Saturday morning. There wasn't a whole lot of customers yet when we arrived. I ordered a lavender latte it was lukewarm didn't want to return it being that it took over 10 minutes just to get it. I ordered a Nutella strawberry waffle. tasted overcooked and was slight cold. The waiter apologized for the service being stated that they weren't expecting it to be this busy since the previous Saturday was slow. read more

OK, so sit down and buckle up, cause this review is going to be epic! First, I need to commend them on the parking situation. The access to the restaurant is just off of parking. Parking is accessible from all directions, that's a win and they validate. Now, I will be honest and admit that the entryway from the parking structure is a little offputting, but once you step into the restaurant, it is a wide open space, wonderful upbeat music playing, and spacious seating. Also, it is handicap friendly. But wait, I am not done yet. The food is the star of the show! When I tell you absolutely everything that they brought to our table was fresh, well seasoned, and juicy, I'm dead serious. We were blown away by the taste of everything that we had. The size of the plates and the portions that they brought to the table were intimidatingly gargantuas. My husband had the chicken wings and they were seasoned to the gods. This is ChefsChef's kiss of chicken and waffles. We are in love. If you don't do anything else when you come to Long Beach or California. You need to run, not walk, run to "& Waffles" in Long Beach on Pine Ave. and kudos to our server, Nate he was absolutely phenomenal. read more

Ordered the wings & waffle. We placed the order online and picked up our order when it said it was ready, expecting it to be fresh. When we went to eat our meal, the waffle was cold. And not like it was sitting for too long and got room temp....it was cold. The chicken was quite gross--fatty and inconsistent w temperature. Almost seemed like they were frozen and tossed in the fryer ?? Some bites were warm and some were cold....but all of it was chewy. We didn't even want to finish our meal. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience. I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

It did take a while till someone came over to take our order as well as brought over some water. Menu did look similar but I'm not sure if they added new items on the menu. After we ordered which did take a while a drink did come out. I had to walk over to the bar section to ask for a straw. Appetizer did come out pretty fast which was the onion blossom. It looked amazing, a little salty but good. The waiter that brought it out for us, I asked for an extra side of dipping but that never came out. As for the main, the honey chicken sandwich and the breakfast croissant. Well, when the dish came out, one of the order was wrong. Instead of croissant sandwich, it was a breakfast sandwich instead. Server was a little taken back and asked the waiter which they looked somewhat confused. Don't know if it was an honest mistake or they just put in the wrong order. Anyways, had to wait for that to come out. Again, still didn't get any extra sauce which I ended up walking to a table to grab some ketchup instead. One of the server did notice but was like whatever. Rarely did we get checked on until I asked for a refill which was once the whole time. When the bill came, I had to ask again. Not once did water get refilled the whole time till the end. Service was just not the same as prior visit. I don't know if it's new management or just a change in name but it wasn't a nice experience. The food was good I give that but service this time, major fail. Hopefully it's not alway like that. Hopefully, next time will be different.

The customer service was outstanding, particularly in terms of understanding and presenting the food. Everything appeared appetizing and had a pleasant aroma. There was no excessive saltiness in any of the dishes. On my second visit, I opted for takeout, and the quality remained high; however, I have a preference for the buttermilk. If you are considering a lemonade, I highly recommend the blue variant, as it is my personal favorite. The manager, Sergio, excels in his role. He has employed Christian and Daniel, and if you are fortunate enough to have them as your waiters, you are in capable hands. They exhibit great politeness. I've been to & Waffles several times, and they never disappoint. The food always comes out incredibly fast, fresh, and exactly what you hope for when you're hungry. Whether I'm stopping by for breakfast or brunch, the quality is consistently great. What really keeps me coming back, though, is the customer service. I love & waffles and am a regular at the studio city location. When I heard they were opening up their 3rd in Long Beach, I had to visit. The food was nothing less than fresh, high quality and delicious. Consistently on the money. The location is hot, the restaurant was very spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. I have no doubt that in just a couple of months, the owner Serge, will get this restaurant to have lines out the door! If you are in the area, must visit! I've noticed this spot a few times and finally decided to stop in for Sunday brunch with my partner. The waffle was perfectly crispy with a great texture, and the butter made it even better. The chicken wings were delicious, but I found the fried chicken breast to be a little on the dry side and lacking in flavor. That being said, the service was wonderful and the prices were reasonable. I definitely look forward to coming back to try more of their menu. Next time, I'd love to sit outdoors and enjoy the vibe even more! read more

This place blew me away! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was top-notch. The manager even came over to our booth to personally ask how everything was--such a nice touch that made us feel genuinely cared for. Our server, Daniel, was incredible--super attentive, friendly, and really on top of everything. Now let's talk about the food... absolutely out of this world.
