I researched the restaurant beforehand and was excited to see that Bo-Beau is part of the Cohn Restaurant Group, which I mostly associate with San Diego and South Orange County. After this experience, I really hope they're here to stay. I noted on our reservation that we were celebrating her new job, and for once, the restaurant actually read the note and acknowledged it. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was excellent. The hostess welcomed us downstairs, another staff member greeted us when we reached the rooftop, and our server quickly followed up. Then came the surprise: complimentary champagne for both of us. It was such a thoughtful gesture, especially because those little celebratory touches seem to be increasingly rare. Our server was also patient with our questions and attentive throughout the evening without being intrusive. We spent about 2.5 hours enjoying dinner and catching up over: Baked Brie Brussels Sprouts Steak Frites Everything was flavorful, and the entire experience felt relaxed, peaceful, and worth the price point. The food was great, but the hospitality is what earned the 5 stars for me. Real hospitality is paying attention to the guest, recognizing the occasion, and making people feel genuinely welcomed. The customer service was outstanding, particularly in terms of understanding and presenting the food. Everything appeared appetizing and had a pleasant aroma. There was no excessive saltiness in any of the dishes. On my second visit, I opted for takeout, and the quality remained high; however, I have a preference for the buttermilk. If you are considering a lemonade, I highly recommend the blue variant, as it is my personal favorite. The manager, Sergio, excels in his role. He has employed Christian and Daniel, and if you are fortunate enough to have them as your waiters, you are in capable hands. They exhibit great politeness. There was nothing disappointing about this establishment, and I intend to return; however, my preference leans towards the French toast paired with chicken wings, which is what I will order. We were lucky to have Serge as our waiter, who was incredibly attentive and made our experience even better. The menu is impressive--tons of breakfast and lunch options with a creative twist. I've been to & Waffles several times, and they never disappoint. The food always comes out incredibly fast, fresh, and exactly what you hope for when you're hungry. Whether I'm stopping by for breakfast or brunch, the quality is consistently great. What really keeps me coming back, though, is the customer service. Joe always goes above and beyond to make sure guests feel welcomed and taken care of. He's friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about creating a great experience. I love & waffles and am a regular at the studio city location. When I heard they were opening up their 3rd in Long Beach, I had to visit. The food was nothing less than fresh, high quality and delicious. Consistently on the money. The location is hot, the restaurant was very spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. I have no doubt that in just a couple of months, the owner Serge, will get this restaurant to have lines out the door! If you are in the area, must visit! I've noticed this spot a few times and finally decided to stop in for Sunday brunch with my partner. The waffle was perfectly crispy with a great texture, and the butter made it even better. The chicken wings were delicious, but I found the fried chicken breast to be a little on the dry side and lacking in flavor. That being said, the service was wonderful and the prices were reasonable. This place blew me away! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was top-notch. The manager even came over to our booth to personally ask how everything was--such a nice touch that made us feel genuinely cared for.
