Very poor service this Andy worker put some sort of sh***t in my custard. He was taking orders outside on a tablet, as soon as he seen me, he runs inside when my order came up. he kept eyeying and pointing at me from the window. Then he kept gradding the utensils from the other worker (serving at the window) so he could whipe his filthy hands on the part of the spoon you put in your mouth. Really bad vides - so I just came back to get a refund and this prejudice dudetrying to tell he couldn't take it back. I said "hell no THaT is yours buddy". So supposedly my refund was processed . Very quick service! We heard this was a great spot for dessert because it was our first time in Arizona. They have such a big menu with many options! I did the build your own concrete and I got the vanilla custard with melted chocolate chip and chocolate chip cookie dough. I love my sweets and I still got a small and it was perfectly filling! I would opt for a medium if I wasn't as full from dinner, or even a large if I'm sharing. It was all absolutely delicious and the service was super friendly! Summer in Arizona has some brutal days, but a frozen dessert can make that or any day better. Andy's Frozen Custard started in Missouri, and I am so happy to see that they have expanded to Arizona. The custard is made fresh throughout the day so it is perfectly creamy, and you can see the custard being made through the giant windows. Aside from being fresh, the custard is super tasty too. The options seem endless. You can get it as plain vanilla flavor, make it a sundae, create a concrete, or get it in drinkable form as a shake, malt, or float. Depending on your mood, there is something to satisfy your sweet tooth. I prefer getting a concrete, and my favorite flavors are the triple chocolate and mint chip. There is no seating inside, but there are a few seats and plenty of standing space outside. There is also a drive-through as well. Eat your custard quickly though, because it will melt fast on a hot day. Forget about screaming for ice cream. Scream for custard instead. read more

We finally made it to Andy's to check out their custard. They offer vanilla or chocolate custard, with a large variety of mix-in combinations. You also have the option to create your own combos as well. I am a sucker for cherry sodas, and mine was very good. There is a walk-up window where you order, plenty of spots to sit and eat, and a busy drive-thru. My only hesitation is that it seems more expensive than other custard places. (Culver's, etc.) It cost my family $22 for a small cherry soda and three small concretes. The small sizes are an ample portion though. I'd try it again! read more

We've driven by this place a few times, usually on our way home and not at a dessert time. It is clean and well-lit and was on our list. So, we decided one night to stop by and see what it was about. The servers were friendly and service was pretty fast. Up close, the place was clean and there were places to sit outside, but the traffic through the drive-through was more than the foot traffic the night we were there. Their signs proclaim that they make their custard hourly. I thought it tasted pretty good, although I don't know the difference between hour-old and 2-hour-old custard :) They have a LOT of options and you can even have them compose a "custom" sundae or concrete if you like. They do not have any food on the menu: no hotdogs, hamburgers, etc. This is JUST a custard place. Overall, the family agreed that it was good but a little pricey. We spent $22 for a cherry soda and 3 small concretes. Note that the "small" here is a good size and, IMO, plenty for a dessert treat. Even my kids were OK with the size. read more

I really loved my custard from this place. I wanted to start with something simple and standard since it was my first time there. (Getting something simple lets the ingredients shine and helps me be a better judge!) The custard was amazing. I got a simple vanilla cup with a hot fudge topping. Their menu says toppings can't be added on cups or cones, but they obviously let it happen. :) Their prices are a little steep- a small concrete is $6, but a simple cup w/1 topping like I got was around $4.25. It's opening day today, the staff is really nice, ready to work, and cheerful. And my order was out in literally seconds, despite about 15 other people on the patio looking at the menu and wanting to order. Take your time at the menu - there are tons of options. Right now they have a seasonal candy cane concrete which I would imagine is fantastic. The location is clean, they have a nice bathroom on the side (think gas station style) and it's decorated very nice. read more

When I asked for a sample of the Key Lime Pie I was told that they don't do samples. I am not going to spend money on a specialty flavor not knowing if I am going to like it or not. Umm...First experience was okay, the second was whatever. First time I drove over there, did the drive thru and ordered my boyfriend a medium James Brownie funky jackhammer concrete with chocolate instead of vanilla custard, it was eight bucks but really good. Second time, we came together on the Motorcycle and ordered to share a medium Rico Suave jackhammer concrete. The girl over charged us and we asked her about it, she didn't care nor bother to fix it. Wow, she was rude and unemotional. On to the concrete, it was good but not great, rather underwhelming especially speaking that she charged us eight bucks for a medium when it stated a lesser price on the menu board. Whatever, they have a monopoly as there is no Dairy Queen, Culvers and there is no Freddy's so this is your only option, dangit :( read more

We've been once before and really liked the ice cream. Took some friends yesterday, and left disappointed. We got one small and two medium concretes. When we got them out of the bag at home, the mediums weren't filled up all the way and were actually pretty close to as much ice cream as the small one had. The custard tastes good, but when it's $6+ per person I expect the cup to at least be filled. Probably won't go back. Not worth the price. read more

We live down the street and every time is inconsistent with service. However, tonight was first night the items we ordered were missing the main ingredients of their classics we always get. They were ordered In drive thru as my husband picked them up after working all day and as treat to kids and us. This is the closest ice cream place to my house, but on both occasions I've been there, it's been an odd experience. The first time was right after they opened. I like a very simple ice cream dessert: soft serve chocolate with rainbow sprinkles. I tried to order a small dish/cup but was told sprinkles were not available. I chalked it up to them being new and running out of items. Then, the small strawberry sundae I did order was already half-melted by the time we reached the window to pay. It was nothing spectacular, especially given the price. The second time I went, I tried again to order my preferred order and this time the woman working the drive-through said that yes, they do have sprinkles, but they are "only for the kid's serving." They apparently won't put sprinkles on any other size of ice cream. I ended up ordering the kid's serving, which was very tiny. I had to laugh when I reached the window and asked the woman why they couldn't put sprinkles on a bigger serving and she said, "it's just our policy." It just seemed so odd that sprinkles are such a strictly-doled-out commodity! They're just sprinkles. They're beyond basic. Maybe this is Andy's way of telling the adults with immature palates to branch out and try other toppings...? It's just a strange place and because I try to eat healthier (ice cream is something I only eat once in awhile), I don't mind not going back. But I figured I'd warn my fellow sprinkles-fans! read more
