It includes two slices of bacon, two eggs any style, hash browns, and two pancakes at $4.95. Coffee is good restaurant style coffee and your cup is never empty. It's a fun place for Saturday breakfast and sometimes there is just a brief wait. Service is friendly and attentive. Food comes out super fast. It's not a dive but not fancy. It was ok. We had about a 25 min wait on a Sunday morning for brunch. The food was standard diner breakfast fare. Nothing out of this world and nothing terrible. The food took longer than I would have expected. I have been to similar restaurants where food was out in under 10 minutes. We probably waited at least 20 minutes for our food. The coffee was weak and dubbed "coffee water" by me and my friends. They automatically divided our tickets, which was good, but we had to go up to the cashier and pay (no biggie). read more

Found this place on Yelp and wanted to try something new that we've not tried before. I didn't want to go to a big franchise chain. Upon entering this establishment I was very pleased. It had a small neighborhood cafe feel. We arrived around 9:30 on a Sunday and we're seated as we walked in, no wait. The cafe was pretty full so I was surprised on how quickly we were seated. Our waitress was great. She was very busy and my only complaint if I had one was that it took a while to order but I understood she was busy. Food was great. I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast, wife ordered migas and my daughter ordered the strawberry waffles. My meal was great and my daughter loved her waffles. Wife was not impressed with the migas. Overall I would give this place a 4.9 but I'm giving it 5 stars. We come to Dallas every year for a cheer competition and I will be back next year to this place to eat. Better than a chain restaurant. Loved the atmosphere. read more

Had a horrible experience. We walked in and were not greeted. Once asked what we wanted and I asked to be seated the hostess had an attitude. Our waiter brought our food out and never came back to check on us. He finally came back after slapping the check on the table and never asked if we needed anything. This is the local neighborhood weekend breakfast stop. Migas are the best, but they have all the usual breakfast fare families and kids expect. Recent "refresh" of paint is a nice update, but no fancy digs here. Affordable for Seniors and easy for local families. Expect a wait on Sundays for the church crowd. I'm sorry but this place is worse than Denny's if that's even possible. If your on a budget check out Lucky's there meals are big enough to split and it's a farm to table restaurant. Another suggestion would be to take your kids to the farmers market and grab a bite to eat and let them play that way your getting a much needed break and saving your money. We were so happy to find a place close to our home for a good breakfast. We have been 4 times and the food is good but the service has just been dismal. We gave it another shot after the first time because everyone has a bad day. We have been when they are busy and when they aren't busy and it doesn't matter. The service was sooo bad this last time. The person who sat us seemed to be the manager but was so unfriendly and put our menus down and made off quick to a waitress where they proceeded to have a deep conversation. that ended up being our waitress who she held up from attending to us for about a solid 10 minutes. Then we could never get the waitress to follow up with us unless we literally flagged her down via another wait staff person. There must of been drama as most waitresses were huddled in deep convo even though it was a Saturday and the place was super busy. Like I said even the person in charge seemed to be involved in the gossip so she was of no use. I have no idea why this place hasn't received stellar reviews. Angela's is the ultimate hole in the wall amazing breakfast joint. Anytime I feel a hangover starting to strike it is straight to Angela's for one of their amazing breakfast choices and a huge glass of orange juice. They have a HUGE menu of items, including omelets, waffles, pancakes, migas, the works. I haven't ever had one thing that I didn't absolutely love there. It's never usually crowded (except Sundays when the church crowd hits) and even when it is I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes. If you're looking for a good low-key breakfast then Angela's is absolutely a place you need to try. Personal favorite: go for the migas with chorizo. Angelas is a cute little family owned restaruant tucked away right off the corner of Inwood and Lovers Lane. It is the kind of place where everybody seems to know somebody in there and the wait staff know their regulars. Warm and friendly would sum it up. I've been a few times before and had a good experience. But today was so bad, I'll never go back. Went with my family for Saturday morning breakfast. Got there at 8:30 and had to wait because there are only 3 tables that can seat 6. We put our name on the list (which there was no pen for) and waited patiently. No big deal. We waited 30 minutes (long, but even the kids understood and were patient). When the first big table came available one of the hostesses glanced at the list and seated a party of 5 that arrived less than 5 minutes before (the list had 25 names and she didn't look at the top obviously, where we were). I saw what was happening and tried to alert the staff of the mistake that we had been waiting for much longer. Another hostess told us only that we could have the next big table! That's not good enough. Offer to comp 1/2 our meal, apologize to the just seated party and ask them to get back in line, or something. But don't just say "Sorry, you can wait another 15 minutes with your 3 kids because we screwed up and don't have a reliable system for dealing with a wait." We left and will never come back. There are other places to eat. read more
