Got to try their root beer floats which is $1 off on Fridays. Ended up being $6.50 for Organic Strauss soft serve which hit the spot on a warm day. Served with a can of root beer and service was quick!

Angelina's is a solid sandwich shop where you can customize almost anything your heart desires. This isn't just a sandwich place though, you can get your coffee and pastries from here too. The people working there are always so nice and willing to answer any questions you have. Seating is available outside and is really close to the 1 (if you take muni).

We saw a sign outside of this cafe saying they served affogato a with soft serve ice cream. We were super intrigued after lunch and decided to come here for dessert! The actual dessert is pretty unassuming, they put 1-2 shots of espressos in a paper cup with some Straus soft serve. While the aesthetic isn't necessarily there, the espresso and soft serve do make for a really good pairing. I wish there had been a bit more espresso, but it is pretty strong and needs the soft serve to balance it out. Overall, it was a pretty simple dessert -- it didn't blow my mind but it was nice for a hot day. When I went into the deli, there were also a lot of cold salads and sandwiches available that looked yummy. I'll have to come back one day and try those as well!

The cutest corner cafe. They have an amazing display counter with tons of delicious breakfast and lunch options. I loved my toasted bagel. The staff is very friendly. Great outdoor seating and a dog friendly space in a nice neighborhood. A great spot to grab something to go or sit outside and enjoy.

I come here for coffee and sandwich sometimes. Honestly, pretty pricey place for the food but it's a nice treat sometimes. Today, I got their turkey cranberry and turkey bacon club:) The turkey cranberry is pretty sweet, so if you're more of a savory person, I would recommend getting something else on their menu like the turkey bacon club or egg salad sandwich. I really like the sourdough bread they use, and the turkey is pretty good quality too. I love their to go salads like the bean or kale one! Heathy, simple, tasty but a bit pricey!

Sometimes we will come in for coffee and pastries. Sometimes a tuna salad. Sometimes after shopping at nearby Cal's pet supply. I like the bench sitting setup outside because I can sit with my pup. The neighborhood families with kids like to come in for the ice cream/soft serves.

Cutesy neighborhood Cafe. Quite a few hot and cold sandwich options, snacks, and drinks (booze included) with seating at small tables outside. The food options were pretty disappointing. The pasta salads didn't look very fresh while the baked goods/cookies/breads looked like they were picked up at CostCo. The hot pastrami was well-griddled, but it was surprisingly small and the pastrami was chewy/rubbery, while the toppings were not particularly generous or flavorful. Wouldn't get food again. Points given for the space and drinks.

In the Richmond there are places that have been around for a long time. Angelina's is one of those places .... How about 40 years !!! The inside reminds me of the old school grocery stores I'd visit in NYC. The staff is friendly .... they are usually busy so be patient and smiling always helps. Today ... a mocha and some lasagna for later. Stop by ... say hello and let me know what you think.

I just gave it 5 stars becuse everybody else has and I see no need to bring down the rating.) On the way back to our car from TJ Cafe, i noticed, through the window, that the wall of bottles was actually topped by a big sign saying non-alcholic! Having been a member of a non-drinking community since 1962, I was fascinated to see such display and dropped in to check it out We spent some 15 minutes with Josh, an ex-bar tender, explaining his philosophy on the social need for community life withoug depending on alcohol (See his Youtube channel: "Josh the non-Alcoholic" for more on this). Josh gave my wife a free cup of coffee since TJ Cafe down the road had no had free refills, and we entered a draw to win a bottle of non-Alcoholic French wine. Josh surprised us by telling us that the French wine industry is going big on non-alcoholic wines. I bought a can of Vanua Bliss - a Mango flavoured Kava drink - vastly different from the Kava served to me during my 3 years stay on Tanna, New Hebrides (1977 to 1980) which was made by youth chewing the kava in their mouths, spitting it out on to a coconut sheath, then pouring water into it and squeezing it into a half shell of a coconut and cerimoniously handing it to you under the shade of a huge Nambunga tree as the twilight deepened! Such are memories made of. While Kava is not alcoholic, it does have some muscle relaxant properties and give a weird buzz of the tongue. I wish him well in his endeavour to allow the teetotaler community to enjoy the social aspects of drinks with their meals, without worring about the alcohol destroying our brain cell and livers!

The omelletes were actually OK - if they'd been served on a china plate, with a lettuce leaf and orange slice garnish or something, I would probably have given them 4 stars - but on a paper plate with a plastic fork? And no free refills on the coffee? No doubt, if quick in and out food is your need, this place will suffice, but for a nice beach front atmosphere in a comfortable space with good attentive service on a Sunday morning, look elsewhere. Their website says they are a "charming eatery nestled in San Francisco, known for its cozy ambiance and delicious comfort food". Bare walls, linoleum flooring, black vinal and chrome chairs and tables are not what I call charming or cozy - but the comfort food might be delicious, however my wife and I can only say that the omlettes were good enough!

But when you want a sandwich that only tastes like its ingredients, Irving Subs is the spot. Their Dutch crunch is famous for being fresh and actually crunchy. Their lettuce is shredded but fresh and crispy. The salt content is just enough to bring out the flavors. And the overall composition of their sandwiches are very well proportioned. You're not getting skimped, but you're also not biting into a mouthful of a packet of deli meat. They definitely know what they are doing. Double pastrami, horseradish, havarti, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and pepperoncini. A lot going on, and it all came together. The horseradish and havarti gave it enough personality to stand apart from a standard pastrami sandwich, and the garlicky mayo tied everything together. The one casualty of DoorDash was sogginess by the time it arrived. That's not a knock on the sandwich, it's just the reality of ordering something like this for delivery. At $14.50 it's a hearty sandwich at a fair price. I'd recommend it, but eat in.
