    Seafood Boil
    Laura M.

Such a fun place! It's casual and friendly. If you want to get your hands dirty and experience a little Louisiana Seafood Boil in Arizona this is the place! You can choose what you want in your boil bag...shrimp, crab, lobster, crawfish, mussels, clams. You can add corn, potatoes, sausage, etc. Then you choose your sauce and spice level! We LOVE the trifecta sauce, it's the combo of their cajun, lemon pepper, and garlic sauces! It's delicious! We've actually thought about ordering just the sauce to go so we can cook with it at home, it's that good! You get your bibs, gloves if you want them, seafood crackers, picks, paper towels, and a bucket! Your bags come out steaming and then you go to town!!! It's messy goodness and fun to work for your food. My daughter and I usually split a bag. Last time we did 1 pound of shrimp and a 1/2 pound of mussels and that was hard for us to finish. We probably should have done 1/2 pound shrimp and 1/2 pound mussels since we also added corn and potatoes, just for reference. They have a large menu of things and also a kids menu if anyone isn't ready for the boil in a bag, but that's what we come for! We write our name on the wall when we come and the kids enjoy finding our names from past visits while we're there! I like they serve their wine in small mason jars which goes with the theme of the place. I also really like their cocktail sauce, it's sweeter than most. The service has always been great! We've gone to other seafood boil places and always come back to Angry Crab because we prefer the causal atmosphere, their prices are better, and their trifecta sauce!

This place is on the dirty dozen list for a reason--there was a three-week-old dead crab sitting in the tank. Grosssss! Stay clear!

LOVE angry crab. I go here almost every Friday with my friend for the lunch special you can't beat the 20 bucks for a bag half a pound of shrimp, crab corn and a potato?! Oh a plus a drink as well Great deal & always friendly workers! Today we grabbed drinks as well and the drinks were phenomenal. I believe Huckleberry colada. Don't think it's in the menu but I recommend!

"Let's be real... if your bartender isn't Ayden, you're missing out. Best cocktails, best vibes, and don't even get me started on the crab boils --straight-up addictive. Sundays = ALL DAY happy hour ... now tell me again why we're not here already? "

    Inside of the dungeoness crab.

Ordered whole dungy over and received what was obviously a dead crab. There were holes in the shell, the shell was brittle and the meat was mushy. The rice was cold but the shrimp were well cooked. Paid over $70 but couldn't eat the crab.

We asked about the fish of the day and special fish which happened to be the same, mackerel, the day we went. Interestingly, the servers had no idea about the fish aspects of the menu and everything was deferred to the sushi chefs. Ordered a few temaki (hand rolls) - yellowtail and spicy tuna- and they were tasty! All the nigiri we ordered were fresh without fishiness, and had generous portions for the price. Nice to have fresh wasabi which had a nice kick and sweetness. Thoroughly enjoyed these nigiri: seared black cod, ocean trout, hamachi/yellowtail, unagi. Yuzu & rainbow rolls had super appetizing sauces. Ordered the uni from Japan which was supposed to be sweeter than creamier but this one was very distasteful for me, had a strong scent like saliva, and I was unable to tolerate it.

It's probably the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've been to in AZ. The lunch menu is excellent and quite impressive! There are 8 entrees to choose along with a side for only $20. What's crazy is that a full size seafood and wagyu beef belly jjampong is a side! They're regularly $24 so it's a crazy deal to get an additional entree!! We ordered seafood jjampong and wagyu beef jjampong as sides and genghis khan beef and chili garlic fried chicken as mains. The jjampong had that great umami taste without the oiliness that's unavoidable at other restaurants. The ingredients felt very premium and fresh. Ghengis khan beef pieces were very generous and tender with a savory sauce. Chili garlic chicken was a tad salty for me but had great crisp. Service was impeccable and one you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes from the lunch menu. My friend and I ordered multiple and I would have ordered more if we didn't have a place to be afterwards. I'm definitely ordering this every single time. Whatever. But then they brought out the pasta and shrimp and we waited quite some time, at least 10 minutes for the halibut. Reminded 2 servers that we also ordered potatoes and those came 5 minutes after the pasta. This was just not good. Since we waited, though we at half the pasta, the reminder was lukewarm at best. The potatoes finally came, weren't great, maybe they left out the gruyere? We had a few bites but with the elevated flavors of everything else it just fell short. I mentioned it and it was just ignored. Food coming out at different times, didn't like one dish - at least act like you care. This was our first time, and the food was sooooo good, I'll definitely be back but I do hope they take the service up a notch. I highly recommend having the staff read unreasonable hospitality, the food they served deserves it.

I stated with the cream sauce and was surprised to find it was at room temperature! I called over the waiter and he took it back and a new plate of that entree arrived in about 5 more minutes with an apology from the kitchen.
