The food is great ,I do not recommend to go orders due to issues of quality compared to dining in. The managers lack personality both the male (large guy with glasses) and the female (skinny one with brown hair). They force smiles and make patrons feel a little uneasy. Horrible customer service racist experience. Made a reservation got an estimated time of 80 mins via the yelp app. Came to the restaurant 90 mins later and they can't find my reservation for 4. Manager came over after helping a white party of 13 whom they claimed were waiting for 3 hours like any one would believe that. But they got seated. When I made the reservation I was 55th in line. They tried to make a new reservation and said I was now 65th in line. She told me about making the reservation at the wrong location but it's not even showing in the app if it were the wrong location. It would populate with the "wrong location" and tell me my place in like. Another black party was there and got the same treatment. Apparently their reservation magically disappeared as well but the white parties were being seated and served. Will never return to this location again. Great franchise. Horrible management. This place just opened up in the pines and hiatus plaza. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and got seated right away and our waiter Aileen greeted us right away. I also saw they have some outdoor seating. We ordered the biscuit beignets as a appetizer and it was delicious. It was nice and hot.. And didn't feel too heavy. I ordered the biscuit and gravy and my sister ordered the Lucy omelet. The food came out pretty fast and the portions were huge. I enjoyed the biscuit and gravy... The gravy was really good. It also came with sausage, eggs and potatoes on the side. The sausage was a bit too salty for my taste. My sister enjoyed the Lucy omelet. She said it was very savory and flavorful. We took home some leftovers cause it was a lot of food. Overall, the service and the atmosphere was great. read more

Beware, the most mess-up customer service and reservation system. Went there today didn't have reservations but was told it was goin to be 45 to 1 hour to be seated outside (which is the alley) or inside for 4 pp. After waiting 40 minutes went to ask how many more parties were ahead of me -- 28 more parties! But wait, I have another 1 hour more to wait. So the wait was going to be close to 2 hours. The hostess was trying to convince me that the extra hour was due to my failure of not using the app and that it was within the time she previously told me. Our math were off. What?? I looked around and didn't see 28 people, the hostess told me that people that have the app "No wait" or make reservations through "Yelp" get precedent over those that are walk-ins. So, if your not technically savvy, don't own a smartphone or elderly with no phone. You are discriminated against at this restaurant. Mind you, no where is this writing on their website or posted in the restaurant. Do yourself a favor, don't go there during the weekend or without the app (that's not a guarantee some guy's table was given up because he didn't show up, but he never got a text.) Unfortunately an update is called for. After a management change the food here has become inconsistent and the new management (at least the ones that work on Sunday morning) indifferent. I'm a regular. And I generally get the shrimp and grits. When the menu was updated earlier in 2018 and the side of bread changed to a focatia like round, it was an interesting change. Over the next month the quart rounds became eighths, became eighths that you could get extra, went back to quarters and just now, between Aug 26 and Sept 2, back to eighths. (If you are thinking "Bread? Really?" understand the shrimp and grits are a spicy dish...and it's just as much about management indifference) So this morning I ask. The server is great and questions the kitchen. Apparently a "corporate manager" gave an answer but couldn't bother to speak directly with a regular. If they had, they would have learned that the food has become inconsistent. Side dishes arrive 5-10 minutes before the entrae, ingredients in a dish are skipped or barely present, these are two examples that stand out. With multi-hour wait times perhaps the new management feels entitled to indifference. Not having any contact I can only speculate. What I am certain of, as things stand I will not be recommending or using ABE for breakfast meetings. ********** I was writing the above as I finished. Just after I hit submit, a manager walked behind the bar (where I was sitting) and spoke briefly with my server. I just went to breakfast here for the first time with my mom. I wanted to take her to a quiet spot to enjoy the end of her trip with her. Another broken egg has been highly recommended to me so I thought It would be a great choice. This experience surpassed all expectations! The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere was incredible and the service was better than anything we could have asked for. Sheila (our server) was a delight and more than helpful. So in general my only tip would be to arrive a little earlier than planned especially since you might face a 45 min wait or longer for a large party. Mostly we've had eggs of one type or another - always been perfectly prepared. I'm an omelette fan so that's my normal order and I've liked every one I've had here. Where to start, I ordered the chicken and waffles and literally waited over 30 minutes to get my food. Finally when I got my food the waitress apologized that the kitchen was backed up and that why it took so long. I booked them for catering of my baby shower which will take place on 1/29/22, today is 1/25 and still had not heard confirmation from their GM which I was promised would call me on Sunday 1/22. Never heard from her so I continued calling on 1/23 and 1/24, left multiple messages and never heard back from them. I finally got ahold of a hostess this morning who said she would relay my message to the GM, this phone call took place at 7am. I explained my concerns and she was nothing but abrupt and rude, wouldn't let me speak or get a word in edge wise, was speaking over me and using a less than appreciated tone with me. I explained that if catering was going to be an issue and they can't do it then I needed to know ASAP because I would need my almost $800 order refunded and would need to find another caterer ASAP. She basically told me that they can't do it because "we're too busy" and that "we don't have tins to put your food in"... LITERALLY 4 days before my baby shower. Not given an I'm sorry or any kind of apology, just plain rude and nasty. No regard that I've waited days to hear back from her or that they ignored numerous messages from me, even admitted that she knew nothing about my catering order. Completely unprofessional and will warn anyone who even thinks about using them for catering to look elsewhere. Totally disappointing. read more

My husband and I come to this location every Sunday and never had a bad experience until today my shrimp and grits were cold...The waitress resolved the issue by placing them in the microwave!! I am anti-microwave in my own home and definitely wouldn't expect for a restaurant to place my food in a microwave to resolve the issue! Just had the best takeout brunch ever. Ordered the jumbo lump crab cake and fried green tomatoes. I was afraid the tomatoes would be soggy but they were perfect even after the ride home.
