I have never been so disappointed with the food I was served!! I ordered the indulgences Buttermilk Pancakes with two Sunnyside up eggs and bacon and coffee with milk instead of cream. First, I can't believe it made it out of the kitchen, but the waitress actually served it to me. Let's start with the coffee at $3.99 was brought out to me black, I had to ask for the milk again and was never offered a refill. Next come the pancakes not a drop of butter on them, very dry as if they were reheated and full of black scrapings from a dirty grill and then I had to ask for butter. now the bacon was crisp as a piece of plywood as if it was kept on the grill under a heavy metal press for hours or reheated several times, it actually crumbled just trying to pick it up. finally, the Sunnyside up eggs look like they were cracked and put on my plate without touching a grill. Yes, I have a picture of them, barely any white part of the egg, yellow yolk part that wouldn't allow me to dip my pancake in and very, very much of the clear egg white not cooked!!!!! Why didn't I send it back? would you trust what you would get returned from the cook after complaining? Nope! I paid the bill and left for good! I am retired and live in Pensacola and detest cooking breakfast! I know all the eateries and frequent most regularly. The stand-out exception to the group is the "Another Broken Egg" in Pensacola off Gregory St. The dining room has just the right number of booths and table to provide comfortable seating without the claustrophobic feeling of being on top of other diners. They also offer a sit-down bar area for quick in and out or "single" customer accommodations. The breakfast selection, quantity, freshness, flavor, value and temperature upon arrival (due to expeditors), are not to be beat!!! That covers the food and facilities portion of my review so now it is time for the service portion. All the servers are polite, truly concerned about your experience and are always checking on you (without being pushy) by stopping by occasionally but always attempting to make eye contact whenever they move into the dining room from the kitchen or after taking an order, refilling a beverage or dropping off a condiment, etc. I have had most of the staff wait on my wife and I, all are good but Sherri is by and far our favorite! She possesses all the aforementioned traits as well as a keen ability to anticipate your needs and does so with an infectious positive outlook. The owners Linda and Hugo are generally always on the premises and always check on each table during the dining experience. The owners Homer and Linda show there sincerity in wanting you to have a good experience, and work hard to make that happen. The restaurant is kept very clean, and is relatively new with comfortable decorations and very tastefully done from the exterior to the restrooms. They have meals from fancy to simple. The servers are genuinely happy to work here. And they show it with simple gracious courtesy. The air is light and friendly. If you come late you may have to wait, but they set up a free coffee table in the entranceway and come around with platters of various types of delicious mini-muffins from cranberry, pistachio, banana nut, blueberry etc. to help with the wait. Say hello to Debbie or Anna who will greet you at the front door... The cooks and back of house may not be public but they do an outstanding job. The front of house supervisors Denise and Heather are extremely positive, hard working, friendly and positive. After cheering on a great friend finishing her 2nd Pensacola Half Marathon today we went to Another Broken Egg. We typically go to Another Broken Egg after running and run events. We checked in at Another Broken Egg in Pensacola using the No Wait App. For the first time the No Wait App did not complete check in successfully, however; Amanda and Alexa were very courteous and asked Stefan to assist us with getting seated expeditiously. Stefan then highly recommended the special Lemon Poppy-seed Pound Cake French Toast. I usually order the Standard Breakfast but being a huge fan of lemon could not resist the recommendation. Our service has always been excellent at Another Broken Egg, today, is was OUTSTANDING. Heather congratulated my friend for her achievement and guaranteed any concerns I had about trying the Lemon Poppy-seed Pound Cake French Toast instead of the Standard Breakfast will be forgotten once I start eating. I recently visited here for the second time. The first was a date with my beautiful wife for breakfast and we were so impressed with the service and outstanding food that we couldn't wait to go back with our kids. And go back we did! And not just with our kids but with our friends and their kids as well. All together we had 5 adults and 7 kids. The food was amazing, the service extraordinary and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Id like to pay special attention to our server Alyssa, she is truly a master of her craft. Not only was all of our orders perfect bit she was warm and friendly with everyone. I know from experience how difficult a large group can be especially with lots of kids. But Alyssa handled it with grace and poise. An establishment's servers can make or break a restaurant. And Another Broken Egg Cafe is lucky to have her as it's ambassador to the public. When I open my own restaurant some day I hope I'll be lucky enough to have Waiters as good as her. read more

Another Broken Egg is our favorite place for breakfast since we moved to FL couple of months ago and we don't care to drive couple of miles away from our town across the bridge to enjoy breakfast in Pensacola. Since our first visit we have enjoyed the most delicious food and seasonal menu but it isn't only the menu that keep us coming back but the service. We've always enjoyed great service and Brent has always been our favorite server, he's not only very attentive but very personable! During one of our first visits, we asked him about places around Pensacola to buy antiques, furniture, etc and his recommendations were great. Today like anytime we drive all the way from the other side of the bridge to Pensacola, we had a delicious breakfast -one of the best crab cakes Benedict in town and the kiddos loved their Mardi Grass pancakes- and once again, Brent advised us about great places to visit for our Saturday around the town. I have had the pleasure of eating there 3 times and each time was a culinary pleasure! The wait to be seated can be long but so worth it - besides there is complimentary fresh hot coffee in the foyer and the staff brings out fresh baked muffins to enjoy while waiting to be seated. All the muffins taste great but the pistachio muffins are amazing. Always ordered a different entree and each one was a treat. Especially love the poached eggs over a black bean pattie with hollandaise sauce. Also the staff is exceptional. The bartender Kathy is extremely well versed on all the different drinks offered and more than willing to let you know what is in what and how they are made. A big plus-Kathy was both very friendly but yet still very professional. We had the pleasure of of having Sarah as our server today- even though the restaurant was jam packed - Sarah was still cheerful and attentive! Great place - highly recommend it. read more

Came in for breakfast on Tuesday with my daughter and her hubby. We were seated in Michael's section and let me tell you, what a delightful way to start the day. Michael made fantastic recommendations (get the fruit plate to start, it is pineapple, grapes and strawberries served in a gorgeously carved cantaloupe served with strawberry yogurt for dipping!). I told him I wanted something light and he recommended the steel cut oatmeal served with blackberries and strawberries with a side of local honey and fresh grated cinnamon. YUM! My daughter and son-in-law both got the Traditional with corn beef hash and both LOVED it. Michael offered a wide selection of hot sauces, but they didn't need them as the eggs and hash were cooked and seasoned perfectly! Thank you Michael for a wonderful morning! I generally do not eat in chain restaurants, but there are exceptions. Another Broken Egg is one of those exceptions. Wait time estimated at 30 minutes, but got in in about 20 minutes. There was plenty of coffee at the entrance for those waiting to be seated. After a few minutes, samples appeared for those waiting. The menu was diverse and appealing. Omelets were well prepared and tasty. Son had the Floridian and loved it. My "crabstacks" order was delicious and there was more there than I needed to eat. By the way, we did sample each others' dishes. The wait staff was very pleasant and helpful. We each had tasty screwdrivers (fresh orange juice) with breakfast. After all, it was after 9:00am and we were on vacation! Overall, the restaurant was inviting and the food was quite good. Yes, when I am back in Pensacola, or another city with "Another Broken Egg", I'll have breakfast there. read more

This place was awesome! We stayed across the street at a nearby hotel and walked over for breakfast Saturday morning. Hadn't ordered a few of their signature breakfast cocktails from the bar but a few moments before we were shown to our seats. Michelle greeted us shortly afterwards and was devastatingly considerate! Having spent many a day back when I was younger waiting tables, I couldn't help but notice her keen attention to detail and how attentive she was!! She was virtually prescient as she anticipated our every culinary need and desire!! She's clearly one of the tops in her field! Oh yeah... the food was awesome too, though that goes without saying, abs though I thoroughly enjoyed what I ordered, looking across at the table next to us and getting to behold the most delectable plate of pancakes I'd ever laid my eyes on!! We have been here twice and it has never disappointed us one bit! It was pretty packed the first time we went, on a Saturday but we were able to get a table relatively fast. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. I had the biscuits and gravy with sausage patties and a side of city grits. Biscuits and gravy were delicious, extremely flavorful and filling in true Southern style. My husband ordered the eggs blackstone benedict and that was really good as well. The second time we ended up going on a Sunday and the wait time was definitely longer (an hour and a half) but trust me: the food is worth the wait. I got the crab cake benedict (and oh my god, the eggs were poached to perfection) and more city grits! The place is welcoming, the staff is friendly, the service is quick, food is truly amazing: there is literally no reason for you not to try this place! read more

Leaving Pensacola yesterday, we discovered a fantastic breakfast/brunch eatery called "Another Broken Egg Cafe." Southern/Cajun inspired entrees that we're great. My wife had Peach Cobbler pancakes filled with honey-roasted granola, topped with peach compote and whipped cream. I had the "Hey Lucy" omelette - breakfast chorizo, onions and green chilies, topped with Cheddar Jack cheese and avocado. We shared a bowl of "City Grits" - traditional southern grits infused with melted Smoked Gouda cheese, roasted garlic and onion, topped with baked bacon, chives and tomatoes. Great food and fantastic Kenyan coffee. Our server, Michelle, made our visit all the more better with fast friendly service and in-depth answers to all our questions about the food and the history behind this restaurant. I have visited the café several times with friends, and the food is always excellent and the servers friendly and helpful. Today, I went in alone and in the mid-morning. The Mardi Gras omelet, my favorite there, was exquisite, as always, and my server, Michelle, was in fine form. When I said I didn't want toast or muffin, she offered me sliced tomatoes; when I said no to the grits, she substituted a couple of gluten-free pancakes made of rice flour, which she served hot and with a jug of warm syrup -- yum! That kind of service is, truly, above and beyond expectations. When I said I would be back on Sunday with a friend, she recommended I download the Nowait app to my phone, which I promptly did. My lady and I went there for breakfast. The breakfast was very very good. Every one practice social distancing and the staff and the patrons had masks on. As usual the food was very good, the prices are very good and the staff was very professional and they we're very efficient and they ensured that we had everything that we need it for our breakfast. And they came back several times to check on us to see if there was anything we need it. A member of the management came to each table asking if there's anything that they could do to make it a better experience for us. I thought that was very very nice and very professional on their part. A very nice place if you are interested in breakfast. You can also call in to be put on there waiting list. And once you arrive just let the staff know that you are there and they would take it from there. read more

Our party of three had an excellent breakfast this morning! The wait was shorter than predicted and there was complimentary coffee. While we waited, someone came around with a tray of delicious mini muffins! We were seated by our server, Cathy C. She had a great personality and managed our experience well by keeping us informed of what was going on. She seemed happy to be at work this morning, which is refreshing! Our food was all delicious! The pecan praline french toast was good, though too sugary for me. My husband loved it. The veggie omelette was very good and the goat cheese complimented it nicely. I got buttermilk pancakes with fruit on top (not this way on the menu but I mentioned our server was awesome) and they were fluffy and amazing! The bacon was crispy and perfect. CAN I RATE TEN INSTEAD ??! Today marked my first day of allowing Another Broken Egg Cafe to bless me with their greatness! The staff here were amazing to say THE LEAST! They welcomed my wife and I as soon as we arrived in the most genuine way and took us to a table. I tried the Irish Coffee Pancakes and I must say if you haven't tried them you must stop what you are doing and try it now! Lana waited on us and also helped calm my indecisiveness when she recommended these delicious pancakes. I also ordered scrambled eggs and bacon with the French Roast Iced Coffee (and yes I kept the mug because I mean why not??). My wife ordered the chicken and waffles along with the potatoes, which was AMAZING as well! I am so excited for my next trip to Pensacola just to eat here again! My family and I had been on vacation in Pensacola, we had some good food but nothing compared to Another Broken Egg Cafe. The food was amazing, the service was great, everything was very cleanly. I had the Floridian omelette which was out of this world, I paired it with the city grits which were the best grits I have ever had. My dad had the southwest omelette, they make their own in house salsa and guacamole. He normally puts hot sauce on everything but loved the flavor so much he didn't need it. Ronnie was our waiter he was great, he even recommended a couple things to do in the area and the veterans memorial was a beautiful recommendation. We will definitely be back the next time we are visiting, I highly suggest you check this place out you will not be disappointed. read more

Even though the food was good. I was pretty disappointed with the wait list policy. I've been to several broken eggs and never had to deal with the debacle of the "no wait" list. We arrived and it was busy as expected but when we arrived without a reservation and no idea that this location did the online wait list junk. We were quoted a 75 minute wait and there were maybe 10 people physically waiting at the restaurant. For over 2 hours we watched as people who weren't there just walked in, checked in and were seated. For a restaurant that "doesn't take reservations" the waitlist policy is just poor form. We waited over 2 hours and 15 minutes to be seated. Definitely go for the food..but it better be a day they aren't busy! read more

This is a restaurant with amazing breakfast dishes in a great atmosphere. The Destin location is too crowded and they could use a larger space so people don't have to wait so long. All of the Broken Egg locations are fantastic although the menus vary slightly. The chicken ceasar salad is fantastic and LaFitte's Tortilla is a nice mexican breakfast dish. The kids always love The Little Rooster! They used to have an excellent Apple Brie appetizer that was fabulous but took it off of the menu. Also used to have nice salmon benny with an actual salmon filet but they replaced it with sliced smoked salmon; definite downgrade! Also used to have fresh squeezed orange juice but no longer. Hope they get these items back! read more
