My husband and I have come a couple of times- all of which have been fantastic! The first time we came was on a Sunday around 11 am - had about an hour wait time, but with the way they send you a text when you're table is ready and you can check where you are in line on yelp we sat in the car and chit chatted until we were called... it was great! The next time we got in line on yelp about 30 minutes before we got there and only had to wait at the restaurant for about 15 minutes. Both times a gentleman walked around with muffins for the guests waiting for a table & there was also complimentary coffee while you waited as well. We go to this location often and it is always good and clean. Our server Michelle is the best!! If we could get her every time, we would. She is so attentive and make sure she always give us as much information as possible about whatever we are inquiring about. This location is very friendly and we always have a good experience when we go. The only issue we've had is requesting non crispy bacon, and we end up getting crispy bacon. I have been here so many times in the past year that I've lived here. I keep wanting to try new places but I can't go anywhere else. Everything I have tried is delicious. I'm a total brunch junkie and I love that they're always rotating new Benedicts and pancakes. Their menu is creative, priced just right and the food is full of flavor. My husband and I love the Broken Egg Cafes. This morning he ordered the regular Eggs Benedict and proclaimed it perfect. I had the Southern Power Bowl. It is a layer of grits with cheddar cheese, scrambled eggs and country ham, a biscuit, two slices of bacon and sausage gravy. It was delicious and more than I could finish. The beignets were amazing. We loved them. Got so amped for the rest of the meal.. only to wait 30 minutes while all of the tables around us who were seated after us got their food. If you're someone who loves breakfast and great service, this is the place to go. I ordered the Mardi Gras omelette with city grits as my side. The omelette is filled with Louisiana crawfish, gulf shrimp, andouille sausage and red peppers topped with tomato hollandaise sauce. The city grits were creamy topped with bacon, cheese and green onion. Both a must try. Our server Cathy was very knowledgeable about the food offerings, had a charismatic personality making it an enjoyable experience. My mom and I are visiting Pensacola and came across this gem of a breakfast spot. the hostess who seated us was very pleasant and gave us a quick rundown of the menu assuring us that anything we may want to change would not be a problem. our server Michelle was super friendly and answered all our questions. the drinks and food came out quickly and did not disappoint. we started with the city grits (grits infused with smoked gouda and garlic topped with crumbled bacon, tomato, and green onion.) and i had the ABE signature bloody Mary which came with pickled veg and a piece of bacon and was the perfect thickness, spiciness, and vodka to mix ratio. could have drank 2 more if I hadn't filled up on the rest of the food. with Michelle's help my mom went for the Blackstone Benedict and liked it. I got the starter breakfast and it was effing awesome. i got it with two over medium eggs, bacon AND sausage, sliced tomatoes, and an english muffin (would prob get a biscuit the next time cuz they looked epic). I know eggs and bacon/sausage is a kind of boring order but I'm not in to a ton of drippy wet sauces or a smothering of cheese on things and the quality and cook on these items was perfection. the sausage patties are thick and moist and herbaceous and bold...super sagey how I like em. and the bacon was the perfect amount of crispy with melt in your mouth chewy goodness to boot. the eggs were tasty and perfectly prepared and the tomatoes were fresh and actually tasted like tomato whic sounds silly but a lot of times tomatoes you get with breakfast are pale soggy excuses of a thing. anyways I could ramble on forever about how much I loved this place but u should just go. go now. and enjoy. oh and did I mention it is super spacious and not overly loud. bonus points!!! read more

Great service. They're chocolate Belgium waffle is awesome, especially when you have a sweet tooth. I did have to wait about 15 minutes to be seated due to how busy it was but they text you when the table is ready and you can check where you are in the queue on yelp. The staff of this place have no integrity at all and will lie to their customers just to make things easier for them! I ordered shrimp and grits and the waitress tells me I have to get it as is and ant make changes to it. I asked her why and she said because people make changes and then say they don't like it, which has absolutely nothing to do with me. I asked her where the shrimp and grits made to order and she said yes they are, so I didn't see the issue with just not putting onions and bell peppers in it if it's made to order. I ask for the manager and he comes over to the table and says "I can't do anything for you." I hadn't even said a word yet. He then says " it's already pre made so I can't change it." If your going to lie at least make sure you and your employees are on the same page. This place is terrible! read more

We took advantage of the 'join the waitlist' on the way to the restaurant, so we waited a total of about 40 minutes. It took about 30 minutes for the food to come, but the atmosphere was relaxed and very comfortable. Heather was our server and took good care of us. A gentleman came by to check on us to be sure everything was great. All five of us were happy with the huge portions and great flavors. Service Terrible.. she told us the orange juice was fresh squeezed and when I saw it and taste it was store bought .. on top of that she never brought the hot sauce that we asked for ..and she had us waiting for two waffles and fried eggs for more the 30 minutes.. while we were waiting for our food I saw another table that came after us they already had their food and we were still waiting. their food was not good either .. waffles had an eggy smell and not tasty at all .. AMAZING food and service!! I got the Brisket Benedict with City Grits and there was SO much flavor - I definitely recommend! Our waitress Michelle was so sweet. My 8 month old grabbed my iced coffee and threw it on the floor (the table bussers quickly cleaned it up with a smile) and Michelle brought be back a full iced coffee to go without me even asking... so thoughtful! Memory was one of the hostesses that brought us to our table and she had such great energy! She is one of the hardest working people I've ever seen.
