Save your money for what this place costs it is absolutely not worth the time, effort or money. I ordered a bloody Mary and was immediately disgusted when I had a rotten carrot and completely dried out rotten what appeared to be a lime garnish for my drink. For my meal, thank goodness I got the hollandaise sauce on the side because it was so tart it would've ruined my entire meal. I got the cheese on my potatoes and they couldn't have been more bland even with the cheese. My friend got a coffee drink and asked for a side of espresso to add more coffee flavor and after receiving it in a plastic dressing take-out cup we later found out that they actually don't have espresso even though that is what he asked for. The waitress made no mention of the fact that they didn't brew any espresso on site and that what he received wasn't actually a coffee. Waited a long time to try this place out and unfortunately have zero reason to return. There are too many other good places in the area worth trying. As someone that used to own a food establishment i don't take negative reviews lightly and went there based on the positive reviews and was completely disappointed. read more

Came to Siesta Key about 6 years ago and loved this place. Came back again in 2022 for a short family trip again and it's still just as good. The crab cake benedict was amazing. I find hollandaise is too overwhelming sometimes but it complements the crab cakes perfectly. The beignets are great and they come with an orange marmalade that I loved. Typical brunch drinks like mimosas and bloody mary's. I only tried the apple mimosa which was good. We sauntered over and out our name in and we're surprised at the wait time, but even more pleasantly surprised when we were called up ahead of the quoted time. We ordered Chicken & Waffles, Biscuits and Gravy, a delicious Eggs Benedict and well it was all amazing. The servings were generous, the bacon was thick. This was a fantastic spot for breakfast. Staff were all very accommodating and friendly - from hostesses to wait staff. Food was great as was coffee. I highly recommend the grits as well as the blueberry lemon goat cheese pancakes. There was an amazing looking pound cake French toast but I didn't have the time to try that one. Outdoor dining on the deck was great but be sure to arrive early unless you have a reservation- they are pretty well full by 8/8:30am. The only thing about broken egg that was confusing was the dress code of the staff. Every service person was wearing heavy jeans and black t shirts despite 90+ degree weather and humidity. They were all super friendly but you can see people sweating and struggling in the heat rushing from table to table. I was surprised to learn they are not allowed to even wear linen pants in that climate (which would be a much more comfortable and still professional option given the setting). This is the fourth location I have visited: Winter Park, Boca, Broward, and now Siesta Key They are all so good, I always try to make it in when I'm visiting. The lemon- blueberry goat cheese pancakes are my ultimate favorites! I always choose their sausage made in house from their own recipe. The bacon is good but I prefer that delicious sausage. What a cute restaurant, it's right in the village, which is great as they are a few steps away from the beach (entrance 2)! I started off with a cucumber bloody Mary! Question for the management, why does the staff have to wear long jeans? It's crazy! It's a beach place, no need for jeans, shorts would be so much better. Today, at 9am the heat index was 100 degrees. I was sweating with shorts and a t-shirt so I know that for the staff it must be unbearable. Also, two of the outside fans were not working. Ohhh so good! I did not realize this was a chain restaurant, it has such a small town small business vibe that I just would have never guessed. In a way it actually makes me happy, more chances of bumping into one of these little gems! He secretly ordered beignets when I went inside to use the restroom. The beignets I am used to are light and fluffy, akin to say Italian zeppoli's - these were kindof thick and dense, they almost reminded me of biscuit batter. Either way, even if the consistency threw me off, their texture and flavor paired with the orange preserves they were served with actually worked really well. I liked them, but they were more filling than anticipated. I had a tough time deciding which breakfast to order, the bananas foster pancakes, the Floridian omelette, salmon avocado toast.. crab cake benedict, Hey Lucy chorizo omelette.. so many good sounding choices! The Floridian omelette won the internal battle - it's a cream cheese omelette topped with garlic butter sauteed crab meat, jack cheese and green onions. To say it was great is truly an understatement. The potatoes are the homefries (fried) kind, crunchy and fine, but nothing super exciting. On another note, perhaps strange - their ceramic mugs in which they serve their coffee are great. They are beautifully crafted and of a nice thickness and weight. The Bloody Mary mix was homemade and so much better than anything I've had. Coffee was good and the cups were amazing. My only complaint: the potatoes needed a ton of salt. Bland. The coffee was delicious the pancake trio I chose with berry pancake lemon curd blueberry goat cheese pancake and bananas foster pancake was divine. The beignets were also very good.
