Last night I saw this restaurant's Social Media ad, featuring Poke Nachos and Spicy Salmon Bombs. (I lived on Oahu for 7 seven years, and grew to Love Hawaiian food in that time,). The food in the ad looked so good, that I took the wife there for lunch to "investigate". My findings; these two dishes are above and beyond typical Hawaiian food, the freshness, the flavors, and generous portions of fish, were so good I cleaned both plates. Was it too much? YES! I will not eat anything else for 24 hours minimum, because of the volume. Will I do it again? OH YES! This restaurant is my new Favorite 'Da Kind Grinds' they have all the standard items you'll find in most Hawaiian restaurants, but try the two I spoke of, and you will also have a NEW FAVORITE! Decent amount of guest dining in. That's always good. Waiting area was clean. Surprisingly food was finished in a handful of minutes. Grabbed my condiments and went home. Flavors were good. One of my favorite types of food is Hawaiian food. So when I heard about this new Hawaiian spot, Antidote Flavors of Hawaii, is located close to my parents' Las Vegas house, I had to check it out. We were in town for Thanksgiving break. So we arrived for a Monday dinner. It was a little challenge to find the restaurant but we found the spot eventually. They are located in the Southwest area next to Southern Hills Hospital. It's a nice area and easy accessible parking. I ordered the garlic noodles with garlic shrimp, garlic noodles with garlic chicken, and a 5 piece spicy salmon bombs to go. First of all the presentation looked appetizing. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the spicy salmon bombs. Never had anything like it. So flavorful and scrumptious. Staff was accommodating and efficient. My only gripe is that the price point was in the higher end. Been dying to try Antidote ever since it was a food truck and finally got the chance to. Poke Bombs: 6 out of 5 Stars (Must Try) They are known for these and I can see why. The hype was real! The salmon was fresh and the sauce was extremely flavorful; literal flavor bombs. Ribeye Plate: 5 out of 5 Stars This was a hugeee portion! The steak was cooked perfectly and was extremely tender. The sauce was flavorful and the onions on top added even more to the dish. 2 scoop rice and 1 scoop mac salad were the perfect sides for this too. Wash it all down with a Lilikoi Passion Hawaiian Sun and you got yourself a great meal. The service was great as they bring the food to you and the overall vibe was friendly/accepting. We were in LV a few weeks ago and my guy came across this place on IG and wanted to give it a try- so happy we did. They were so friendly when we walked in, they greeted us immediately, gave us menus and we proceeded to order. I went simple and ordered the crispy chicken thighs, mac salad and steamed rice- my chicken was anything but simple. The crisp was on point and the flavor was absolutely delicious!!! My guy ordered the bacon fried rice and ribeye and was kind enough to share. The rib eye was cooked perfectly and the bacon fried rice had so much flavor. The portions were great, we both had leftovers that were just as good later on that evening. While we waited we joined them in a Netflix word game and chilled. My husband found this spot on Yelp and it was just as 5 star as we hoped! I was holding my granddaughter the whole time so I failed to get pics. Sorry Yelpers. He ordered the Loco Moco Fries and it was Huge! He couldn't even finish it all. The meat was great quality beef cooked perfectly. Not dry at all. Fries were seasoned just right. Not too salty or bland. Gravy was not overwhelming either. The egg and cheese all melted together with the sautéed onions was delightful according to him. My son & DIL both got the poke bowls. They were a bit pricey BUT you were not being fooled by heaps of rice filling the bowl. The salmon was plentiful and delicious based on how they polished off their entire bowl. It was Hawaiian style mixed w mayo. The kids also ordered Garlic Chicken with fried noddles. They had to take majority of it home bc they were too full! The guys also got Haupia ( I think that's how you spell it) a coconut chocolate creme pie situation. I didn't try any but of you like cream pies you might like it. They didn't leave even 1 crumb so it must have been good. I didn't order any food bc I'm on a restricted diet at the moment. However I still wanted to share my family's honest opinion about their food. It was our first time here and everyone LOVED their food. As far as atmosphere goes. Music was Island style all the way and created a chill vibe. The eating area was clean but nothing spectacular to look at. There were lots of boxes lined up against the wall in the dining area. My bf & I initially tried this place a couple years ago when they were still just a food truck. I recently found out they opened a store front close to home so we figured we'd try it out again! We ordered (& shared) the salmon bombs, poke bowl, & garlic shrimp fried noodles. 1. Salmon bombs - OMG delish!! Definitely my favorite item out of everything we ordered. The salmon was drenched in sauce & it was such a flavorful bite. Love! 2. Poke Bowl - This was good too but it was basically the salmon bombs without the tofu wrapping. I personally wish they used ahi tuna so at least it was a little different. Still good but I wouldn't order both together again. 3. Garlic Shrimp Fried Noodles - The shrimp were coated in a garlic butter sauce & were good! I wasn't a huge fan of the noodles though. Even though it did say "fried" noodles, I was expecting more of a softer lo mein type of noodle. My mistake but I don't think I would order the noodles again. I'll stick with the rice combo. Came here in a whim after a doctor's appointment and we weren't disappointed. We ordered garlic shrimp, garlic chicken, and loco moco fries. Everything was made fresh and full of flavor. Obviously not as good as the garlic chicken and garlic fries in Hawaii, but it was still hitting the spot. Every bite is a punch of flavor. We were surprised about the loco moco fries. We got the salmon spicy bombs. It perfect amount get five per order. We each got try one. The salmon poke on top was winnah. They have it poke bowl style. I will get next time. The spicy salmon bombs are 100% worth the hype! I love that they're topped with crunchy garlic (or scallions? My memory is off). The poke was good quality, served in small cubes on top inari pockets filled with rice, and topped with crunchy bits and delicious sauces. The inari adds a very welcome subtle sweetness. I'm craving them again just writing this review. We also got the garlic chicken and it tasted good, but didn't totally blow us away. It was reminiscent of Asian style popcorn chicken! Well sauced, but was hoping for an even crispier texture. For context: we ordered our meal on DoorDash and everything came right on time. First off, the hospitality of the workers is always on point. Always welcomed with smiles. They have a comfy couch as you wait for your food which didn't take very long for them to make. Starting off May with a bang! This place has been on my radar for a minute, and I'm glad I was able to stop by. I remember when Antidote was just a food truck that offered the same menu, and I distinctly remember their garlic chicken fries being so delicious that I remember it a few years later! This time around we got the garlic shrimp plate and garlic chicken plate. Having grown up in Hawai'i and raised on shrimp trucks and mochiko chicken, these were definitely on par! The shrimps were HUUUGEE in comparison to what you'll find at Giovanni's (Hawai'i). The garlic flavor was great, not too burnt, and perfectly juicy. The garlic chicken was equally as amazing The garlic sauce is quite sweet but equally as savory. The proportions for both plates were very generous, and for $20+ a plate I think you get what you paid for. Another thing to judge in a hawaiian plate lunch is the mac salad- Antidote uses flatter, wider noodles that allows for more mayo in your mac and its done well! Located near the new Durango Casino/resort, good size place with indoor and some outdoor seating. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. I'm glad to say their food lives up to the hype and IG pics! A must try! I found this restaurant on Instagram and was interested in trying their poke nachos. I decided to stop by after class with a few of my friends. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted as the guy on the front counter patiently waited. After all ordering, we pushed two tables together since they only had small tables that sat about 4. Our orders soon arrived and it was everything I could've asked for. The wonton chips were so crispy, the salmon was just the right amount, and the sauce was great. I fell in love with these nachos and it left me craving it later that night again! I also had a bite of my friend's salmon bombs and they were great! I think this is one of my favorite local food joints in town and it's a big plus that I don't have to drive to the other side of town for a craving. What's nice about this place is that they have items that you don't usually find at another restaurant. For instance, the Inari bombs, it's on their regular menu so I don't have to wait for certain days to satisfy a craving. For me, the fried noodles were on the higher price range, but they have that fried onions on top. Makes it taste so yummy! The Garlic fried chicken was good, you get a lot. And you get plenty rice to go with it too, so that's a super plus. I'm not a big poke nacho person but my daughter ordered it and I tried some. Antidotelv is an absolute gem in Las Vegas. From food truck days to a brick and mortar - so proud of y'all! Honestly, y'all are doing amazing and I hope this city never forgets it! The service is always top-notch too - quick, professional and efficient. I'm a big fan of the Garlic Chicken Plate, which gives a massive amount of food. Honestly, the portion size is gnarly and enough for two meals. The chicken is crispy, flavorful and absolutely delicious. I've had the Fried Noodles too, which aren't too shabby. Personally, I definitely prefer the good ol' rice plates. Fun fact: The Fried Noodles actually tasted better as leftovers, which is fire. If you love shrimp, I definitely recommend the Garlic Shrimp. Warning: the shrimps come with shell-on, so it can get a bit messy. However, the sauce is divine and an absolute treat. Plus, the shrimps are massive too. It's located in the plaza off of 215 and Sunset. There's ample amount of parking and seating inside. They still feature many of the loved entrees that they were sold in the food truck. Loco Moco plate (5/5): This was a new item that I don't remember trying when they had their food truck so I was excited to taste it. It was beyond delicious and the portions were more than enough! It really did satisfy my loco moco craving. Their mac salad is always one of my favorites as well! Salmon bomb (5/5): I opted for the small option which includes 5 salmon bombs. It's rice topped with their infamous salmon mix in inari which is comes together to gives a sweet yet savory taste. Fried noodles with Garlic Shrimp (4/5): The noodles were amazing! It is on the oily side but that's how fried noodles are meant to be. I added garlic shrimp which came with a good amount of jumbo shrimps. I'm not a fan of the shells on shrimp but that's how Hawaiian garlic shrimp is normally made. Try this place out and you won't regret it! It's the best Hawaiian food you'll come across! read more
